So how do we feel about the upcoming Trickster buffs?

The movement speed buffs are quite nice, the wind up time wasn't really something I saw people talking about interesting to see that their was changes to this, greatly decreased recoil should be a lot more noticable once the patch drops next week, still personally don't think laceration decay should be a thing it also doesn't do anything to affect the survivors in terms of gameplay, and Main Event is more than likely still gonna be bad.
I believe these changes to Trickster were just to fix the frustrating elements about this killer, because even streamers were not having fun playing him when he dropped last week. It's a nice start in terms of buffs, but more work needs to be done to make him at least semi good. Still will probably be the weakest killer in the game, but maybe he'll feel actually fun to play now?
So what's your thoughts about the Trickster changes?

He'll still be the weakest killer in the game and will still need more changes in the future. But at least after the hotfix he might actually be playable into an average team of survivors.

Not what he needed.
Only recoil&spread change were actually good buffs, others won't really do anything and are just dust to blind us.

I'm glad they're buffing him but really should focus on giving him proper identity. He can't ever become stronger in 1v1 or snowball (baseline knifes) than slinger and huntress as each of them is a king in those categories already.
They should focus on making main event trickster's main thing as that's what makes him unique compared to them. Unfortunately, it's still going to be bad and inconsistent, the buff will help a lot with his base knifes but the main event will still be weak.
I'd be happier if they didn't focus on buffing base knifes and did far more to make the main event actually good.

I guess they just want to see how Trickster's Main Event will perform after the buff.
I'm pretty sure he will get some more buff in a second hotfix

A step in the right direction for buffs looks amazing cause I was frustrated with his recoil now I’m happy. Still not great but will be much better we need more buffs

I'm pretty excited to be honest. Before his release, I saw promise for him as a faster, more relentless Huntress with a side of Myers. His numbers were a bit too low for that to quite work out for him though. However the speed boost alone is looking real good and means Trickster gives Survivors a lot less distance on him when he uses his power.
Seriously, this buff is cutting the initial speed difference between Knife Trickster and the Survivors in half and it just gets so much better from there as you spam them. Current Trickster can lose up to a full meter per second of speed as he throws knives and buffed Trickster will only lose up to 0.18 meters per second. I am pretty sure Trickster's going to be much better after those buffs.

Better than I expected... I don't think they're doing enough to make Main Event not absolutely hot garbage though. You really should be able to activate it whenever you want, not have a 5 second window to lock yourself into throwing knives.
That being said, if the Trickster can throw more daggers for a longer time with more accuracy during chase... he may not actually need Main Event.
I'm curious to see how he feels after these fixes.

I'll have to see how it feels after the update, but this doesn't sound like it's significant enough to take it from "I will always feel like a tortoise and lose" to "I might not always feel like a tortoise and lose." At least not for me.

It is honestly just more QoL kind of buffs. He needs a rework to be made stronger.

Particularly the draw speed buff was on my mind when I played him, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

That'll be in another three years at best

if at all :(

Well there's no doubt he'll be better, but I'm honestly extremely disappointed that there's still no ricochet at default. I honestly don't care if they need to revert some of these buffs for it, anything other than a base kit ricochet is less than acceptable to me, because without it he's not the Trickster =[
I'm curious to see how the Main Event will feel now. Like others, I'd like it to be the "main" thing Trickster has. That said, I can also see it being truly unfair/unfun for survivors if main event were made too effective, so I'm not demanding more changes to that yet.

One the the main things I wanted was for Main Event to not be on a timer. I want to be able to use it when I want, not when it just so happens to become available. The very nature of the knives and how you gain Main Event charge means that while you have some control over it you don't have full control. You can "99" the power and then you become an M1 Killer until such a time that you think throwing one more knife and going Main Event will help. His super power M2 encourages you to not use his base level M2, which is very counterintuitive.
Also having any Killer with a "use-it-of-lose-it" power sets a VERY worrying precedent. All other Killers are in control of their power, with Plague having a very rare edge case of her last fountain being used but even that can be worked around if she drinks from at least one fountain when she notices there is only one clean on left or even used to her advantage to get Corrupt Purge in the middle of doing something else. Trickster being the only one with "use-it-or-lose-it" is very unintuitive if you've ever played Oni, who is the most direct comparison, with Shape being a close second. But with Shape you can control when you go from 99% to 100% and his M2 isn't a ranged attack and it doesn't start dropping if you never actually go T3.
If I had to pick only one buff for Trickster to get it would have been this one, being in full control of Main Event. And it is not one of the things being done so I'm super sad about that.
All of the changes other than Iridescent Photocard are good changes and will make him better yes but are not my main problem with him. As for Iridescent Photocard it shouldn't be able to wound. The whole reason to run Photocard is you make Survivors go from Healthy to Dying in one M1, it being able to go from Healthy to Injured defeats that point. Now if they made it instead that with Iridescent Photocard your knives can make Survivors go from Injured to Dying that'd be fine, or even just while in Main Event it is ignored, but that is not what I think of when I read what they said it'll do and because I have no faith in the devs to do "smart things" it is not what I expect them to do. With the other changes Iridescent Photocard as it is now is more viable, because the main problem was being close enough to M1 while they were Exposed so with less slowdown over all that'll be easier.

Devs will look at Trickster after buff and they will implement more improvements if it will be needed.
I wish +1 ricochet was a base. It's not a big deal and it will make more trick shots to learn. It's in killer's name after all.

I really don't think it was necessary to increase the wind down period, but o well.

I'm still baffled to see that they are keeping the recoil, the Laceration decay and the 110% movement speed.
At this rate, it will be 2025 before this guy gets into B tier.
Also, will the continuous slowdown from 110% to 62% movement speed while throwing knives still be a thing?
As long as that is there, plus survs getting spring burst on knives injury, he will still have a terrible time catching up to people. That's enough to put half of the map between the killer and the surv.
His addons need to be looked at too. ATM the moment there's like... two that are worth anything. Bouncy Blades and 14 instead of 16 knives to down. I can't believe I just typed "14 instead of 16". 10 would still be, like, a lot.

To answer your question about the continuous slowdown from throwing knives... It sort of still exists. However it is significantly less of a slowdown. After Tuesday it'll start at 96% and gradually fall to 92%.
