Stake Out questions WITH ANSWER
If you hit a great skill check with at least 1 token, does the perk still grant the bonus 1% progression?
What about without a token?
The perk description makes it seem like it only gives you the bonus 1% when you consume a token after hitting a good skill check.
EDIT: ANSWER:
Useless perk at 0 tokens. Great skill checks do not benefit from this perk at 0 tokens.
Adds extra 1% when having at least 1 token for both great skill checks and good skill checks that consume a token.

I believe you only get the extra 1% when you use a token

No. I'm pretty sure if you hit a great skill check you get the bonus progression but you don't lose a token.

oh. That really sucks..
I need to properly test this sometime.

Well we've got two conflicting answers here lol. Please find the truth for us 🙏

haha I will and i'll be sure to mention y'all when i do

I’ve tested it if you get 4 tokens and you hit a great skillcheck you don’t lose any tokens you only lose tokens if you get a good skillcheck

- You only lose tokens upon a good skillcheck converted to a great.
- The +1% bonus progression is permanent, to the best of my knowledge.

I've been running the Perk alot recently i tend to gen jockey because if you don't do the gens in solo que, then chances are the gens WON'T get done. Stake out only seems to give you the bonus 1% when you hit a great skill check, however because it's only 1% it's hard to tell. I'll try and experiment this and see if the 1% still applies to great skill checks that don't consume a token. See ya soon!

yo if you're down to test it right now, we can hop in a KYF, record either you or me repairing a gen, and see what we get when we test all 3 scenarios

Nope. I have extensively tested it. The only progress bonus you get is from using stacks. Normal great skill check don’t get anything

Sorry mate I missed your message, BUT I did test it in afew games earlier and it dosent seem like the bonus applies if you hit a great.

Thank you for your service

No...thank you for the cow pictures, they're adorable
In all seriousness if anyone else that isn't called "Hexy" could test this that'd be greeeeat

Even if it did grant bonus progression on regular greats, the perk is still kinda garbo.

Ran a secondary test because I haven't got friends and I'm 100% sure it dosent apply if YOU hit the great skill check, the difference was small but you're able too see it.

This is correct. Genuine great skill checks still act as normal.

Wow that ######### sucks. What a garbage perk.
2 -
Agreed, I'm gonna try and put Fast track in to my build instead. I get rewarded for my team suckling that way:D

haha yeah AND you don't get screwed over by killers with small or no terror radius it's great

Alright, I would have made a proper video but my old ass video editor crashed on me and just sucks in general so I'm just gonna give y'all the info:
Useless perk at 0 tokens. Great skill checks do not benefit from this perk at 0 tokens.
Adds extra 1% when having at least 1 token for both great skill checks and good skill checks that consume a token.
So I guess that makes it an okayish perk? If you can keep at least 1 token and just hit greats back to back the perk's pretty good, but you'll have to be SUPER good and I am not at that level yet.

Does anybody know if the devs changed Stake Out in any way? Meaning:
I just had a problem with this perk, tried to use it for great skill checks, had the 4 tokens and the perk was useful only when I worked on a gen with one of my teammates. In the description of the perk, there's no mention of having to work at least with one person on a gen for the perk to be useful. Is this a recent change or a possible bug? Anybody any similar experience?

I'm able to hit my greats constantly, I've started using this In a injured build and I'm able to get gens done in about 65- 70 seconds depending on greats.
OK so it's official case closed! Good job guys! We should all go out for pork chops, love pork chops!

I think the description is pretty self-explanatory.
By default, Great skill checks award you 1% bonus progression.
If you hit a Good skill check while you have tokens, it will consume 1 token and turn that Good into a Great. Thus you get the 1% bonus you would get if it had been a Great.

I've been pairing Stake Out with the new Fast Track perk. You get a lot of extra bonus progression during the game; it's pretty cool.
