I'd just report the profile and move on. they may be trying to bait you into playing in a manner that will get you banned.

It's annoying and nobody likes it but I'm not sure I'm putting "Playing a video game in a way I don't like" up there with the Great Philosophical Questions of Morality...
While I feel bad for normal people who get camped, I'm not gonna shed a tear over someone being an ######### getting punished for it.

Otherwise, TECHNICALLY SPEAKING, I think Sandbagging IS against the rules under unsportsmanlike conduct. I don't know the ins and outs, though. Also, reporting them for abusive chat COULD go a long way.

It's a game, it's not like you're hurting them IRL. As long as you're not breaking the rules (and note that sandbagging can be against the rules if it's done repeatedly to the same person to harass them), play however you want.

Listen I'm gonna say the usual play fair and don't fall for anyone begging for attention...

I mean, there is an advantage to it. Sometimes people put in their strategies or if they're doing a challenge, that way you can be aware of their motivations.

Does DBD have a different definition of Sandbagging? How is that at all enforceable but camping/tunnelling is fine?

Report the profile on Steam and play the game according to rules. You can also leave a lobby if you don't want to play with someone.
