RE in DBD
I know I said I was taking a break but I happened to stumble upon a video about the subject. This man has literally spoke to my soul about the subject, I'm not kidding. I absolutely do believe the subject of the matter he brings up is important, about how it could work, I absolutely loved what he said, but let me know what you think!

I think RE in DBD could absolutely work, I just think my biggest issue is the current state of the game.
I think the last thing I want to see come out of one of my favorite franchises is toxic Chris Redfield mains and another sub-par killer no one would ever play, mixed with perks that barely shake the meta that you'd only see included in a gimmick build.
If it were to join the roster I'd pray to whatever gods or goddesses stare me down that they are good, I don't want another Silent Hill chapter
8 -
When I get a pistol add-on and can kill the killer sure
1 -
Thats kinda what I was thinking, also what do you mean another Silent Hill chapter, Silent Hill was good for the game
9 -
Toxic Cheryl mains and no one really plays PH because he's not "optimal". All of the perks that came with the chapter are situational or bad, and the map the DLC came with, while visually good, is not the best designed and can be a detriment or a godsend dependent on which killer you're playing.
The Silent Hill chapter was cool but no one uses it anymore because there are better alternatives that can be grinded for (spirit) or are free (huntress), I see a Cheryl every now and then and a killer playing PH every blue moon.

Oh, now I know what you mena

Finally, someone who can recognize that Jack Baker would be the ideal Resident Evil villain for Dead By Daylight.
As the guy in the video said, I simply can't picture a Resident Evil chapter without Jack.
The only other villain I can see working is Birkin, just because in his earlier malformations he still has a personality, and he's not just a tool for Umbrella. Still though, he wouldn't work as well as Jack.
4 -
I knew you would love this, and honestly seeing birkin in DBD, I see him ore or less being a legendary skin for Blight
2 -
Yeah, I guess Birkin as a legendary skin could work. Honestly there are a lot of Resident Evil characters that could work as legendary skin.

The more people don't play Pyramid Head the more people underestimate the power to use your ability outside of animation lock. Keep him rare and I grow only stronger.
2 -
at some point PH will be so rare he'll be considered OP and be nerfed
2 -
I mean, imo he needs a change to be less zone oriented and more skill rewarding but I wouldn't say he's op.
Yet.
0 -
If the next chapter is Resident Evil I want Ada Wong as a survivor !
0 -
he's absolutely not OP by any means, on swamp maps he's useless because any degree of elevation ######### him sideways
I think when a killer is rarer players don't know how to deal with them as well as they would, say, a nurse or spirit. However the section of the playerbase that is entitled little shitbirds will complain loudly, and his numbers will skyrocket to a point where a nerf is done for no reason other than statistics
3 -
Swamp? Oh you sweet summer child, if you think Swamp is bad just wait till you find yourself on Dead Dawg Saloon. Or Hawkins.
1 -
Honey I can tell you that Dead Dawg and Hawkins are not exclusively bad to PH, they're bad to every killer
1 -
Oh I know but as Pyramid Head they're exceptionally #########.
0 -
I cannot agree more
1 -
I'd be playing Pyramid Head all the time if his counterplay wasn't just holding W :/
He's probably my favorite killer in the game visually, lorewise, etc. but it just feels so bad to lose to W key holding. I'd imagine there are a good amount of other people that feel the same way.

I did watch the whole video but I still think that Marguerite would be better as killer than her husband. Idk, I feel like Marguerite being "The Nest" could have really fun and interesting gameplay mechanics.
0 -
Oh... yeah thats a no,
0 -
I guess MArguerite is an option, although it would be hard to imagine an old lady with just a lamp, and doesn't truly move that fast. Not a bad idea though, however I think Jack takes center stage for the villains of Re 7, it really wouldn't be RE 7 without Jack
1 -
I would be all for an RE chapter if it included man-candy Redfield.
0 -
I think the RE chapter should focus on the old and new, make it something both for the old fans and for more modern fans of the series like myself.
0 -
I mean to be fair, in the Mia Tape if Marguerite spots you she does sprint extremely fast towards you. I think she more so chose's to walk around lazily and let her "babies" do most of the work for her, instead of actually being a slow old lady.
Also side note; I am the only one who realized how insanely tall Marguerite is? Like Jack is 6-3 to 6-6 feet tall, and in the Bedroom DLC when he kisses Marguerite, you can see that shes only a few inch's shorter than him. Which means that Marguerite is like at least 6 feet tall. Obviously I understand why she's this tall from a gameplay perspective, it's done to make her seem more menacing and imposing to the player. But from a lore perspective, Marguerite is one tall lady! I guess compared to the average, Jack is also pretty tall, but not nearly to the level of Marguerite.
But I digress, imo Jack is still the best RE7 villain for dbd.

I mean how can you talk about RE 7 without Jack Baker, it doesn't feel right. In a way he symbolizes a lot of DBD symbolizes, where as Nemesis just doesn't fit the bill, sure hes the most iconic, but if they made him able to work in DBD ( Pallet stun, flashlight blind, etc) then he really wouldn't be Nemesis anymore, he would just be a big hulk of flesh. I like the guys way of implementing an RE chapter, mixing it with some of the Old with the survivors for long time fans, and mix it with the killer for modern fans.
1 -
Yeah that's pretty much how I feel.
I think it'd be the best of both worlds if Jack was the killer and Jill and Chris were the survivors (With Legendary Skins For Other Popular RE Characters.)
1 -
I mean a chapter like that would be perfect, its a little something for everyone
1 -
I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes that Jack Baker is the best fitting theoretical RE chapter Villain
2 -
Oh don't worry you were never the only one, I believed it, QwQw belived it, and many others. I just wanted a RE chapter that focused a bit on some of the more modern games, without ruining the magic or legacy these characters made for themselves

Leon could work, although, hes probably to good for felix

Like I don't understand, for PH Molten outfit, there are bits where it overlaps with the whole cosmetic, plus I don't get why cherylls rare outfits are locked either
0 -
I keep thinking of an RE episode involving 2 killers and 2 survivors to balance the scale. I mean. Have Nemesis or Mr. X or Jack Baker, but a Tyrant is the most fearsome of all RE and that fits more perfectly than a crazy old man similar to Deathslinger.
0 -
The problem is that Tyrants are created to serve umbrella and are programmed to do so, in the video he makes some very solid statements. Adding a monster like MR. X or Nemesis, they have to hinder away what makes Nemesis, well Nemesis. Which would leave people unsatisfied with the fact these aren't the monsters we all grew to love, their more like a big chunk of meat basically
0 -
I still give them the mighty middle finger for destroying P.T.
0 -
That is my problem with RE, there are many good villains, but the problem is "choosing" or which one will be awarded to behaviur for a possible collaboration. A Tyrant may be good or fearsome, but even if he receives orders, the entity can fix that. On the other hand, other villains like Jack Baker or Albert Wesker (I'm not very sure with the latter since I got confused between the movie or the video game) can be manipulated or be willing to kill or the most silly idea, bring a zombie to dead by daylight. I just hope that if it's RE, the fifth anniversary, they surprise us with a maximum of 2 killers. I think it is the most convenient but at the same time impossible for it to happen. Instead 2 survivors is possible.
0 -
Press F in the chat to honor, Silent hill. Honestly P.T. and it being canceled is by far the most damning ######### up in the whole Video game horror genre, even more so than RE 6 in which, no way in hell I'm touching. Its so sad
0 -
I mean sure the Entity can do that to the Tyrants, but in order for them to live up to the legacy they made, they have to be just as powerful as they were in the games. If that were to happen, it would be 4k simulator until a massive nerf comes in. Which would anger both killer mains and the RE community, plus Nemesis can't use his Rocket Launcher, I can't imagine Nemesis without it either, it makes up his personality, but would be so illogical to use against survivors for they would be dead in seconds.
0 -
That also I forgot to say, the type of armament he occupies, Nemesis would be the most OP and destructive of all, it is for that reason that others want Mr. X instead of him. Since he occupies the enormous strength of him. But Jack Baker I'm not sure what his power would be, unfortunately I haven't played RE7 to understand it. The only game that I may play is RE2 to fully understand what a Tyrant like Mr. X and an iconic survivor like "Leon" is capable of, who is the survivor I most desire of all. But it is a matter of business and luckily at least having them here.

I know someone who can gladly educate you @QwQw can help with this. So he created a fan made concept of what Jack would look like in DBD, basically Jack gets stronger the more the gens gets done and requires skill from the survivors end here a link to his work from one of my posts
