I’m finally getting somewhere with The Twins.
Despite initially hating The Twins A LOT, some weird masochistic part of me has been patiently, persistently playing them whenever I’ve needed a break from my other mains. And after an amount of abysmal matches too high to count, my Twins games have improved a lot.
Here are some things I’ve learned.
- I don’t care anymore if a survivor kidnaps Victor. If they want to willingly remove themselves from participating in their objective, fine. In fact in a lot of cases, except where Charlotte was already close by after a successful pounce, I don’t even bother searching out whoever Victor was attached to. If I come across them, so be it.
- It’s an absolutely fantastic trap to switch Victor back to Charlotte during a difficult chase, then quickly back to Victor. Many survivors cannot resist the opportunity to try and crush idle Victor, only to put themselves in a very vulnerable position if the switch is fast enough.
- I still find being repeatedly crushed by survivors that are experts at dodging Victor’s Pounce very frustrating. But now when this occurs early on I switch Victor to sentry mode, hidden away near high traffic areas. Often this results in the same survivor behaviour, and opportunity, as the above stated trap.
- It’s incredibly satisfying using Charlotte to completely block certain access points, at select loops before unleashing Victor on a survivor. It just feels great to pounce on a Survivor that has just put themselves in a “dead end”.

I like to run as Victor. Especially long shots somewhere from hill are satisfying. It probably jumpscare survivors. And survivors sometimes don't expect a pounce trough window or dropped pallet.
But when you catch injured survivors as Victor, you just slug them. And it often make survivors dc, which is sucks.

Glad you’re finally getting the hang of them! I’m in the same spot with deathslinger right now. My aiming in general is garbage hence why I main clown but slinger is really fun and I’m hitting more consistent shots now

Nice work. I’m the same with Deathslinger. My aim is garbage.

Glad you stuck with the Twins and I’ve also noticed the insatiable need survivors have to kick Victor. It’s very strange, I think I once started a topic asking why survivors will take the L as long as they get to kick Vic. Like a month ago.
They still do it...

It's literally the only way you can have even a morsel of fun against The Twins, so I prioritise kicking that tiny idiot over anything else in the match.

I usually hit with Charlotte first, using victor first is harder
(No blood pools or grunts of pain)

I gotta admit, the way you worded this had me laughing out loud.

Twins is a weird one for me. I think they are poorly designed yet I keep coming back to them. I just find something satisfying about playing them despite their flaws.
Regarding your first point, I love it when a survivor kidnaps Victor. It does turn you into a M1 killer, and it's not exactly engaging for either side. However kidnapping Victor can hamper the survivors more than it does the killer... sometimes. Take my last game with them for an example.
I pounced a Dwight at the beginning of the game who never tried to remove Victor. This turned the game into a 3v1 with 5 gens still left to go. He kept revealing his teammates to me as he ran around, and because of that I was almost always knew where survivors were or weren't. This gave me some free hits too, as sometimes one of the survivors would think I was unaware of them. There was even a time when he tried to take aggro for an injured teammate that I was chasing, but he was actually helping me keep track of the survivor so I ignored him. Eventually he got rid of Victor but it was too late. Ended up winning that game.

I’ve had a similar thing happen. A kidnapper getting impatient that I was not travelling to the other side of the map. They tried to bait me out of other chases, but they just helped me better track who I was chasing.

I like the idea of baiting the kick by switching and switching back a lot actually.
Ceremonial Candelabra is probably one of the best addons for that. It’s also just good in general because it makes it more likely you can recover from a missed pounce instead of getting kicked.
Also, remember when parking Charlotte at a loop that if she gets pallet stunned you’ll be forced out of Victor. It’s a pretty interesting mechanic a lot of people don’t know

Twins are a lot of fun. Once you find the balance between Victor and Charlotte they have a lot of potential.
They are probably the strongest killers to hold a 3-4 gen. If you have a close cluster its difficult to break. Set up Victor between 2 gens and then Charlotte can patrol the other two. Switch every 60s and slug as often as possible.
Whispers/Corrupt Intervention/PGTW/Oppression was my build.
Sloppy Butcher is great for Victor tracking too

The twins are solid, people jsut dont want to put in the effort

No, people just don't want a 30 minute game of slug simulator.

Sometimes I am running as Victor that I completely forget about Charlotte. 😂
Then I remember I can’t pick up survivors are him. 🥺

then dont slug? I dont ever slug as twins and I do fine, again this comes back to "putting in the effort"
people dont want to put in the effort and just unintelligently tunnel-visioned on her being a slugging killer and thats it.
Compare it to Hag, every hag I find will place 3 traps around the person she hooks and return instandly....that does not make the hag a bad or one sided killer, its just the community not knowing and not caring to know what else she can do.
Otz considers hag one of the strongest killers and one that borderline needs no perks at all.

You telling me that when you down someone with victor you just ignore everyone you hear/ see and walk over to them to hook? pfft.

Stridor the best then sloppy

I guess this could be helpful on healthy survivors. I play mostly at night when son and wife are sleeping, so TV can't be too loud and I don't have headphones. So I prefer visual cues (i.e. Whispers going off, Spine Chill activating, or even something like Spies from the Shadows) since I can't have volume up too loud. Sloppy Butcher helps increase bleeding frequency which is excellent for finishing them off with Victor.

no? I down one, If I hear someone else I jump on their head, then go for charlotte and maybe down them but most likely just hook the downed individual
