i NEED elias as a killer. i'm sorry, mans can literally turn into his beast form at will. + he's kinda a daddy anyways. just give him a shirtless skin and make his house a map and you'll rake in the money. bonus points if the basement is in his bedroom.

I do recall BHVR having a survey or something for DBD that had the question with something like "what characters would you like to see in DBD" and Anime was one of the options, correct me if I'm wrong.

i hope we get more non human killers. they're just way more interesting. there's so many great concepts in anime that would look great in dbd

Man your recommendation wasn't even from a horror anime, it was a romance/fantasy. Mine came from a genuine slasher series, even if they're not monsters doesn't change the fact that they are still intimidating.

Perfect Blue is one of my favorites, but Akira has some pretty good character design that might fit in with dead by daylight. Also, I could never see this in dbd but imagine repairing a gen and hearing a mechanical sound only to look up and see a shark with drains and long, steel legs approaching you

Having recently finishing the show, I've been trying to think of a way to bring Lucy from Elfen Lied into DBD. She's become probably my third most wanted Killer, just behind Candyman and a Xenomorph, and she would definitely be unique. The issue comes from the fact that she's ridiculously powerful.
Lucy's weapons are her vectors, which are, to paraphrase another character from the show, "Two-meter long invisible arms." We all joke about Freddy's poor lunge animation, but Lucy's vectors are literally invisible unless you're a Diclonius like her. And it's not like they're slow either. She has managed to catch machine gun fire from just outside that two-meter range. And they're not weak, having thrown a fishing boat a considerable distance. She would literally be impossible to properly balance, and the show is pretty obscure and old, so I don't see her ever getting in. But I can dream.
And another thing, none of the characters are ever given a last name (that I can remember). Except for two villains who are ONLY given their last name and a title. This really hurts the chances for a Survivor (who ALL have a first and last name).

if you read the manga and actually watched the full series, you would know that the plot of the show is not focused on romance.

And your opinion is that the show is good. See how that works, I can just say the same thing and all of sudden neither matter. Frankly the show was forgettable with just some fanservice and an ending so appalling that it was one of the first anime I ever watched and it still pisses me off whenever I think about it.
I don't know man, I've watched the anime and unless the story has a complete tone shift, pretty sure it's still just a fantasy/romance, just because it gets a bit dark and sad doesn't change that.

"Good" isn't the way I would describe it, in the same sense that you wouldn't call the Friday the 13th franchise good. Enjoyable and fun yes, good, no not really. It's what you get out of a slasher, you get to watch a bad guy kill even worse people in horrifying but interesting ways, and it's quite fun for that. The story is probably better than I think because of the translation team, I guess they were trying to be Ghost Stories dub the manga version.

I went and caught up to the manga as well, the story never goes towards horror. The romance is no longer the main focus as it's leaning towards its fantasy side more. I never claimed it was only romance either, with it being a fantasy/romance with some dark tones at times. Elias wouldn't fit as a killer since he isn't really evil and Chise is the only character who'd fit as a survivor and there's no way Elias would be harming her in a right state of mind.
