Hook Change will incite AFK and DC players
Forcing people to stay in a match they don't want to be in won't make them play.
It's going to result in two things...
- A massive DC increase. (yes, there's a penalty, but lots of people are willing to wait it out or just not play the game anymore, thus turning away player count)
- A massive AFK increase. If someone won't DC, they'll open a new tab or their phone or something and ignore the game until either the skill checks kill them or they get rescued, only to stand still until they die. Making it worse for other players because it kucks (not sure if it's censored) the living players from a possible hatch escape that they would've had if the player had just died on hook.
If a player isn't having fun in the match, they're not going to play that match anymore. Stop trying to force them to.
EDIT: Cause I know people are gonna accuse me of this since that's how dumb these forums can be, NO, IM NOT PROMOTING DISCONNECTING. IM SIMPLY STATING A CAUSE AND EFFECT.

Ill take another hook as killer. And im sure a survivor would take the same over the survivor killing themself on first hook.

I'd rather someone die on hook if they're not having fun so that I can just hopefully find hatch and move onto my next game.

Maybe people shouldn't queue up to play a game if they are just going to find an excuse to not play it just because they don't like what they matched against.

If you miss two skillchecks you immediately die. The only issue is this makes suiciding on hook harder when you have people intentionally unhooking you right off griefing you with the killer - Punishment for that should be more serious instead of punishing the DC'r or suicider. If you solve other problems DC'ing or suiciding on hook will be less common. For example mori is a good example - How often do you see people DC because of mori now? When I saw ebony prior I used to see a pretty common dodge or dc. Now I rarely see it after the change. This counts towards many unfun killer mechanics.
Granted BHVR dropped the ball on IRI heads.

If they stand still at least we killers get points for hooking them again. The DC 'Bonus' we get is useless.

You can still ######### on hook.
It just takes slightly longer.

And id rather not lose out on altruism points because a survivor just suddenly doesn't have fun playing. This is a team based game. Imagine if a game of football half of the enemy team just said "you know what were bored were just gonna leave". Sounds kinda stupid huh? Unpopular opinion:i share tru3s side of "boohoo"

If a survivor wants to dc and wait 5minutes instead of what less than 1 minute let them. AFK report them. A person who dcs because they can't give up instantly is petty and pathetic.

5000 Survival + 2000 Objective for hatch will ALWAYS be better than 1000 + (sometimes)500 for 1 unhook my guy

Hence why it's not a problem for killers. That wasn't the topic.

Is asking people to not que up if they don't want to play too much to ask? They can probably track people killing themselves on purpose now with those unmissable skill checks.
1 -
Maybe people should be allowed to at least try to have fun in a game they paid for.
2 -
The other problem is, as a survivor, I will suicide on hook to let the other survivor have a chance to escape. If there are 2 or more gens left, I will suicide so the other survivor has a chance to escape.

What if i get both? Unhook them they die on 3rd hook and i get hatch. Seems better for me.

You can't report someone for going AFK. Killers have been doing it to depip for years. And reporting does nothing anyway.
Nobody ques up JUST to kill themselves on hook. They que up to get into a match that they'll hopefully enjoy. They kill themselves if they're not having fun and want to move onto another match sooner rather than sit through something that's wasting their time. Your strawman argument means nothing.
You won't. I guarantee that. Killers will see someone is AFK and use that to their advantage to get a free kill on the non-AFK guy before hatch can spawn/open. Then go back and kill the AFK guy last. Exactly the same as slugging for the 4k.

I'm sure your teammates have a ton of fun when they have rage quitters who can't stand being challenged.

If someone in my match isn't enjoying themselves, Id rather them die on hook so that I can get hatch, rather than cuck me from having a sliver of a chance of escape because they decided to sit in a game and give the killer a free 4k

I have a feeling there will be way more useless teammates hurting the team, more Blendettes hiding in corners and players locker hopping in the basement. I've seen some killers already say they'll ignore a survivor that runs up to them trying to get killed so it's not like them staying in the game is distracting the killer anymore from the other survivors.

Yep. People think slugging for the 4k is bad? That was just the beginning.
I'm just wondering that if the killer refuses to kill these people, is it considered taking the game hostage? The majority of the people on this forum are the very people who'd do this, so I know they won't agree with me though.

If survivor is able to move around so can complete gens to leave then theyre not taking game hostage. If anything I could see other players start reporting as survivor/killer working together.
