Rancor| how do you feel about it?
Ah yes, the perk that has many pronunciations, from Ranchor to Rankor to Rankour and so much more, its time to see how the community feels about Spirit's Endgame perk
I personally hate this perk with all of my heart as it promotes playstyles that hurts both the survivor and killers games, but I feel like some may think differently, so how do ya'll feel about Rancor?

I love it, it's like a mini NOED and a way to see a Mori, probably the only way to see a Mori given that Mori's have been nerfed out of the game.

It's one of the few perks that actually instills a sense tension and dread
I'm not gonna say I love facing it but it's certainly not overbearing considering the rancor target is warned after every gen.

Unfair when looking at it in a 1 v 1 scenario
Pretty much useless in a 1 v 4 scenario

I'm good with it. It's not a particularly strong perk.
As killer it gives you decent information, as it's kind of a weaker Bitter Murmur except that it shows all 4 survivors.
As a survivor it feels kinda scary to realize I'm gonna be in danger, and makes me play more cautiously in the endgame.

I don't have any problems playing against Rancor, it's not a perk that's bothered me - if I'm the obsession though I will just leave the game at the end of the match and not stay to make a save or anything, which of course does affect team mates quite a bit, and removes some gameplay from the end of the game.
As I killer I don't use it, I do use Devour Hope rather a lot, but not Rancor as I don't believe it will benefit my playstyle.

It's mostly an endgame Perk, so i automatically mostly dislike it.

I don't see it enough for it to bother me.

I actually feel it's an obsession perk done right. It's not the best obsession perk. I feel that goes to STBFL. However there are almost no downsides to being the obsession. At least until the new OoO gets here. If the killer is running STBFL or PWYF they are more likely to leave you alone and go after someone else because they want their stacks. Rancor is the one perk that makes me dread being the obsession. Most of the tension goes away at the EGC. Unless the killer is running NOED, Rancor or magically got BW to go off there is hardly any fear. Once the gates are open it's practically playtime until you need to teabag to escape. Rancor however fixes that, at least for one person.

I incorporate it into some of my builds, it's a decent perk. Playing against it actually puts me on edge when I'm being chased so there's that.
