Help me keep my sanity as survivor
I play survivor occasionally, and I absolutely suck. Here's my build, give me some free renovations:
- Borrowed Time
- Fast Track
- Smash Hit
- Inner Strength
Feel free to tear it apart. I've lost so many times that I have no dignity left.

Get rid of smash hit barely works, also fast track please god no.

Alright, what do I fill the hole in my heart with?
and don't you dare insult my baby fast track you monster

Serious question
Why do you not run kindred? Assuming you're playing solo of course.
0 -
Because my therapist recommended I stop running info perks so I don't have to see my teammates doing absolutely nothing.

That's part of the fun though...
I'd say give Kindred another shot if you feel like it. Other than that, maybe try out We'll Make it or Windows of Oppertunity

I used to run windows, but then I realized that knowing where loops are won't help if I can't loop in the first place.

Replace Smash Hit with Sprint Burst, Dead Hard or Lithe depending on which you feel most comfortable with.
Replace Fast track with pretty much any good perk. You can't go wrong with Iron Will, Prove Thyself, Spine Chill, Detective's Hunch (so you can find totems for your inner strength easier. Small Game also works). Decisive STrike is good to run just to make sure there's an obsession.

Use lithe instead of smash hit. Replace fast track with detective's for easy heals gg

Running tiles is just something that you learn the more you play, you can watch videos and what not but it's not the same as actually just refining it yourself. If you want my random piece of advice, try to stick to the corner of structures and don't be afraid to drop pallets early if you're injured
Windows is honestly great because it shows you where the dead-zones are but it also subtly helps you learn where pallets and windows can/can't spawn which is insane.

But what if I feel most comfortable with Smash Hit?
0 -
I'd question: Why? Pallet stuns are literally bugged right now. (Even though they were supposed to fix it) so it's unreliable at best.
0 -
In my opinion fast track and borrowed time is good so keep that.
If your having trouble finding gens then a good beginner perk is visionary.
Use windows of oppurtunity to help find pallets to use.
But ultimately if I had to pick your build I would say
1. Borrowed Time
2. Fast Track
3. Spine chill
4. Windows of oppurtunity or Bond
2 -
Would you still recommend it after pallets are fixed?

Borrowed Time and Inner Strength are solid picks, but I don't see a way for Fast Track to really put in the work, and pallet stuns are extremely unreliable, which makes Smash Hit unappealing to me, personally.
Perks to consider are: Sprint Burst, Spine Chill, Botany Knowledge, We'll Make It, Detective's Hunch, Fixated, and if you really want to rush gens, I think Stakeout and Prove Thyself are better picks.

Down here in the hellish depths of rank 5, nobody touches gens, so I have to bring fast track and brand new parts if I even want to get one generator done before we all die.
0 -
At that point, you might want to bring a toolbox with Built to Last or Streetwise. (Or both, if you want to 0-100 a gen in half the time with a charge-boosted big toolbox)

Lose smash hit. It's a niche perk and can be fun but if your goal is surviving it may not be the best. I mean, how do you plan to use it against killers like say, Nurse?
Fast Track is better than people think it is, but it's still not very good. It's about what you get from a toolbox, prove thyself is much better.
Inner strength and BT are good.
My advice, is decide what you want to do because you can't do everything? Is it self preservation, rescues, generator repair? Etc....
My current build for example is Sprint burst, we'll make it, bond and prove thyself. The goal of this build is to let me quickly run from a killer or towards other survivors, so that I can get easy coop generator work done or rescue and heal people with we'll make it.
If a killer is camping I do not go for a save as I cannot do anything; I may hook trade at last second but that is all I can do. This build is not meant for survival, my survival rate drops when I run this build. You get what I am saying?
You only have 4 perk slots so you just need a goal in mind.

Use this build:
- Spine chill
- Self care
- Iron will
- Dead hard
This is my build that carried me in solo q all the way to rank 1. Works like a charm. Never injured, always know if the killer is coming, and stealth. (Also E to outplay)

They have inner strength already. Self care would be a downgrade.
2 -
Except with self care you dont need to go around for 40+ seconds trying to find totems and then hope the killer doesnt have undying and then ALSO hope your rando teammates don’t steal them all for juicy BP.....
0 -
That's...not how any of that works.
If you are going through a full self care, without botany more than the 2 or more times you can easily get with inner strength (while getting more points, while helping your time, while banking a safe instant heal) then you have a lot bigger problems going on.
It takes 14 seconds to cleanse a totem you will probably find very quickly while not even looking, to have a 10 second heal you can bank for literally any time you need it.
Not to mention 10 seconds to heal to full at a clutch moment, versus having to let someone die on a hook to heal yourself is a big difference too.
Self care takes 32 seconds. If you have to self care for 32 seconds and multiple times in a match.....that's an ouch.

Don't you dare speak ill of inner strength in my presence

Iron will, dead hard, adrenaline and ds.
0 -
BT & Inner Strength are solid. Add Dead Hard or another exhaustion perk of your choice. DS if you care about getting tunneled off the hook. if not, I also like empathy which helps with knowing where the killer is or where your injured teammate is to heal them or possibly take aggro.

For self: Lithe, WoW
For team: Small game, Kindred
Im bad at chasing so I need Wow. Take Ironwill for better choice
0 -
Felt this.

Iron Will 100%. While looping it confuses the killer to your exact location when there's walls inbetween you and the killer.
Dead Hard. It's just dead hard.
I'd use different perks here but if I were you I'd run vault speed build (Spine Chill and Resilience). It will mean you can vault slightly later because you have 15% extra vault speed. This build is meant to keep you alive in chase as long as possible.
