Why do Green Rank Killers get matched with Red and Purple Survivors?
I rarely see Green survivors at matchmaking anymore, it's usually the ones who wear the flashiest clothes, P3 Claudettes, and fully decked out meta perks. I've tried lobby dodging based on my hunch but I still get matched with them. It's awful playing killer with only the base game perks like Sloppy, Whispers, etc., while I face a squad with BT, Unbreakable, DS. Bonus points if they offer Haddonfield, which is quite often.

Well welcome to the DBD where you will face againts them no matter which rank you are. My advice accept it. With new MMR coming it will be finished soon I hope but for now the secret is accepting this situation. Just play your game and try to enjoy it. If you suspect that the lobby that you enter is gonna be messy for you dodge that lobby. For example I dodge lobbies where there are 2 or more toolboxes due to gen speeds. Try to stay calm and enjoy your game. For map offerings try to burn map offering as well or use green hand offering which ignores all map offerings.

Supply and demand. I’m of the belief this is the best outcome currently because the alternative is long queue times waiting for more qualified matches.
Killers often have the same problem and you don’t know which set you’re going to get (High Rank or Low Rank) until the End Game Screen.

With how they're doing in keeping new killers in, doubt people would be swayed to play as that role.
