Temper your expectations. These are still the same devs who gave us All-Kill and Binding of Kin.
We've had one survivor, one killer chapters for the last 3 chapters and they were riddled with bugs without a new map, now people are talking about multiple survivors and multiple maps for Resident Evil? This is still the DBD devs we're talking about. Call me crazy but the last few chapters don't exactly instill confidence in their abilities.

I'd rather not be a negative Nancy, thanks.

You may have a point, but I'm still excited regardless. I'm sure the devs are going to make this chapter special. After the previous chapters, I'm sure the devs are going to spice things up.

stunningly bad

This is also the silent hill and stranger things devs. Even better with the graphical rework.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine.
They're also the same devs who gave us everything good about the game, ftr.

For real

My expectations will remain high, as long as they go BIG. We need something new and different that shakes up the Meta. Besides, their track record with Licensed characters has been pretty solid as far as I'm concerned.

I quite liked all-kill.
2 -
I think that's a very narrow way to look at things. I'm just being realistic with the patterns the devs have followed in the past few months. Blind optimism will lead to something worse if they fail to meet expectations.

YunJin saved all-kill tbh she has 2 good perks while elodie had 3 bad perks they're fun yeah but bad and twins should i even explain ######### happened to them?

You can't say this in a shill forum. This people literally cried and shaked over the news, they don't get any more mindless consoomer. The fact that they also like the Avengers is pretty telling.

To be fair, every single licensed chapter has been pretty fire.

The art team always does a good job. I don't think anyone doubts that the Art team is their best department. It's the actual gameplay of things. It's the fact that Trickster was released in such a terrible state while also breaking pallet stuns, breaking Blight giving him even more inconsistent collision, breaking Wraith's lunge out of stealth, and possibly more that I may be forgetting.

I liked Binding of Kin!
That chapter was way more creative than the chapter we have now, two killers that of conjoined, i would've never thought of that.
As for the newest chapter, i like the music and art design for the lobby and Trickster. And i won't lie, that anime trailer was crazy in a good way, but i wouldn't call it my fav chapter

That's just it, it's all style and no substance. They designed a killer that can't be buffed in any meaningful way because of what he does. On top of basic mechanics like pallet stuns not working. Where have you been?

This content has been removed.

I think binding of kin exists because the candyman movie got delayed and they've been putting all their eggs into the 5th anniversary event.

Too late, pal. I am already too excited to think about possible problems.

The concept was good, I feel they have a lot of good concepts but don't necessarily execute them well but the Twins were all right. But Binding of Kin might be their buggiest chapter ever, even the killer was incomplete along with some of their perks that had to be hotfixed later.

I'm happy and everything but if it's RE7/8 Related it will be just meh for me

I agree that's okayish. I see he has potential, but one wrong change and he becomes a deathslinger that just lazer beams you down. You can feel that power at low wall loops and can shred survivor health from full to zero way faster than the other two , but he feels (at least to me) a lot more at the mercy of map generation than the other ranged killers.
But at the same time It feels like it kind of has to be that way. I know he gets compared to legion, but to me, I just see a power that can be so busted that it has to be left in a weaker state. It's not the end of the world, tbh I'm just a bit burned out from playing him.

Not everything can be a hit and that's fine with me. Plus so far, overall, they've made a nice amount of content that I find to be good.

It is evident that many more resources go towards licensed chapters, as those bring the most money. Capcom is also a fellow game dev with asymmetrical experience (for what REsistance is worth). I'm pretty sure that the RE chapter will be good, at least.
Also they plan these chapters far in advance. I wouldn't be surprised if they've been sitting on the RE chapter since before Village was even announced.

They also gave us Cursed Legacy and Stranger Things. There's a balance between Cyberpunkian fantasy and pure spite.

It is very cool looking, but sucks gameplay-wise.
1 -
I think that they will actually try with licensed chapters, I mean look at silent hill.

These are also the dev's who gave us descend beyond, cursed legacy, stranger things, silent hill, and chains of hate. Your point is?

Idk how much his buff changed him, but I assume it is not a whole lot. The trickster is still very weak and in need of changes.

and also the same Devs that have brought us every fun character aswell.
whats your point exactly?

It's that their most recent history has been well below acceptable quality. You would expect overall improvement over time from developers considering that they gain continued experience on their product. They have released good chapters with minimal bugs in the past so I don't expect them to release a literally unfinished killer that need to be hotfixed further down the line while doing the bare minimum or a chapter so bad that they break fundamental mechanics on multiple things. Good faith from the past is nice but that doesn't change how their most recent releases have turned out. They've been mediocre and this is with the additional work experience with their product.

He isn't even viable past Rank 10.

I mean, we have a Silent Hill chapter featuring Cheryl Mason and pyramid head who are some of the most popular horror game characters out there. I think they'll do a good job with this one. The mere fact Resident Evil anything is coming to DBD is enough to be hyped about.

Yeah but you know if they do it wrong not only would that be bad for their reputation they would also have to deal with the community

Fukin lol

True, it is licensed so they will probably try with this chapter. I hope it turns out well, it's just hard to expect more than the bare minimum let alone multiple survivors and maps on top of a smooth release.

Speak for yourself, aside from the bugs, Binding of Kin chapter was my favorite since Demise of the Faithful. All-Kill might have been the worst chapter ever, but I haven't lost faith in them yet.

I'm usually very doubtful, But I'm staying positive for this chapter.
