Gate progress perk
There should be a hex perk that active like noed only at the end of the game the decrease gate progress for people who 99 gates...it not a broken perk and only work at endgame

What's the problem with 99'ing gates?
I mean, I don't always do it, but, if the killer is chasing someone and they are not running towards the gate, I'm not going to open it in case they have blood warden, I will leave it at 99.

I was talking about perk ideas also it give more to gate action for killer beyond the perk the block the gate for 40 seconds if you hook 4 survivors.

I'm not sure if it's a good design overall. Hex perks display a notification when active, so this perk would probably notify the survivor about its activity. It would only encourage the start of the EGC earlier. What's the advantage to allocate a perk slot for that instead of let's say NOED?

It would pair nicely with blood warden, forcing them to open the gate. Then NOED would rely put in work. haha

Maybe it would allow the killer to knock down progress by hitting the gate switch.
Maybe make it function like PGTW but without the hook requirement?

So you can go back for your hooked teammate, get hit, heal, go back for the teammate, get hit, heal, etc?

the best option Ive seen is that each light is a stage of progress. Each light is a quarter, then you open it. If you let go it regresses back to the last check point. This would mean you can get a gate to 75, but youd need to tap it to keep it 99ed

It doesn't happen often and, when it does, it's not cyclic like you're saying.
If it works, it works and we both get out, if it doesn't, meh... Life I guess
