Why do blades decay on healthy people?
I understand Trickster blades decaying on injured people because they can be one tap and have no options to fix it.
But I feel like Trickster’s blades staying on healthy people indefinately would give him some slight map pressure sort of like Ghost Face where you can slowly build up stalk meter for later sometimes

It needs to be an optional thing. You can't heal until you pull out the blades, or you can risk it and leave them in and gen rush.

People hate mending so this would only lead to more hatred for trickster

I feel like his blade mechanic should work like exhaustion; if you're running, the laceration meter doesn't decrease. You have to be idle for it to decrease.

But it is optional, while mending isn't.

It’s still a mechanic that requires you to hold M1 more which is pretty boring for the majority of the survivor players
If it was me I’d make it so that you slowly bleed more and take longer to heal per blade. It’s kinda like mending but at least there is skill checks and healing perks to affect it

Laceration should at least not decay past 50%.
If you get hit with 1-3 Knives, sure. Decay to 0.
But if you get hit with 4-7 Knives then the Decay should just take you to 4 Laceration.
