Why do people hate Meg sm?
I mostly play DBD for fun but I’m getting a little more serious and I’ve noticed that lots of people really hate Meg? I don’t understand why-personally I love playing her cause her quirks make the game easier for me to help and unhook other players while also making a quick getaway. People say it’s cause she’s ugly which is so stupid to me. So are there any actual reasons to hate her or is it just stereotyping...?

Other than Claudette, Meg is usually the Survivor new players pick, which gives them a stereotype of being bad.

- She's ugly. No one wants to look at that billboard-brow she has.
- More importantly, most of the people who play her aren't that good. Because Meg comes with the game, and has good perks, many new players pick her up. This why the term "Meghead" was coined, because a large portion of people who play her are new to the game and have no idea what they're doing.

The baby Megs on my team running to shack pallet and setting up a tent as soon as they hear a terror radius.
(Basically a lot of Meg players are just... bad. I think it's because, like Pulsar said, a lot of meg players are also new)

Meg was my first main and I still love her. People are just haters don’t listen to them.

While I said Meg is ugly partly as a joke, I really don't like the way she looks.
Which is weird, because I've seen artists draw her and I agree that she can look cute, but her in-game model just doesn't look attractive at all.

her hair doesn't make sense.
ok. listen. she has a double french braid, right? she has a french braid which goes down into two pigtails. a french braid is created by starting at the starting point, and then weaving in more and more hair as you braid across the scalp down to the ending point, where you stop weaving in more hair. meg's french braids, both of them, start at the front and top of her scalp and they go all the way down to the back bottom corners of her scalp. this makes sense, and this can be done in real life and it makes sense and is fine.
she also has a THIRD BRAID that just sticks out of the back of her head, in the middle. i don't know what you know about french braids but i can tell you, in order for her to have a third additional french braid inbetween two other properly big, thick french braids like she has, means that she has prosthetic hair specifically to have a third braid in. she has hair extensions, or weave, or something, specifically to get a THIRD BRAID where there should not be one. it's really thick, so there's a decent amount of hair involved in this braid, but the starting point for it is phenomenally small given the entirety of her scalp is occupied by TWO WHOLE FRENCH BRAIDS.
does she have a clip-on braid that she wears? did she get hair extensions but at the root specifically so she could have an extra, third braid? meg, what in god's name are you doing? why do you love braids so much? or do you just have a best friend who loves braiding hair so you went and bought more hair for them to braid? and why would anybody do that??
that's why i hate meg.

I love use standart Meg sometimes. Killer thinking there is noob Meghead, that will gonna easy. But no sir, you are wrong. That Meg knows something :d

Well, I most certainly do not hate Meg. She is a good survivor to start with, she has a good Prestige skin (just like most survivors from 2016-2017) and she is pretty.
There is literally no reason to hate her, in my opinion.

Personally, I don't think Meg looks that appealing as a Survivor. She kinda just looks really confused most of the time to me.
As for the bad rep, it's for the same reason people hate Megs, Neas, Dwights, Jakes, and Claudettes: New people play them, and are generally afraid to pull any kind of aggro, making them feel unproductive if you're a seasoned player who gets paired with them through bad matchmaking. (Baby Dwights are known to hide in lockers. Baby Megs are known to meander around the map most of the game, and be scared of anything that moves. Claudettes have a rep for being rude, hiding in bushes all game to wait for you to die, and self care when it's really not the play. Neas have the rep of being the ones that just crouch walk everywhere, no matter what, or are known to be the ones that try to be toxic, but are very bad at it and pretty much throw because of it. Jakes have a weird, mixed rep of being either really dumb or absolute memers with no imbetween. (As a Jake Main, I can confirm: I am very dumb, and I do like memes.))
Personally, I don't mind baby players. I find them cute. I also still really like Jake and Nea. (Jake has been my main since Day 1. Absolute favourite boy, I'm still salty he didn't get a Seoul Cosmetic...) For me, I just think Meg has some really weak cosmetics compared to the rest of the cast for my tastes. (Claudette has this same issue for me tbh...) And that mixed with having poor experiences with rando Megs... and I just tend not to like them too much. I'd rather take the No Mither Davids or the Rare Jeff.
