PC/Steam- Unable to dowload update

Step: I start the dowload of the update
Step 2: wait forever
This situation become worst after each update. Currently I can't finish the dowload. It's not a connection problem or steam becaus I only have this problem whit DbD update.

The only way I've been able to fix this is opening and closing Steam (not fully exiting, just pressing the 'x' at the top), and also pausing/resuming the update several times. My only other suggestions are to reinstall the game completely, and also verify the integrity of the game files. best of luck to you!
