The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Do you guys think trickster is still playable after the recent update for him ?

Surprisingly I have gotten a couple of 4ks with him along with his adept although he still is kinda slow but I can cooperate with that. I was also now able to be more precise with his blades thanks to the update.

I find him completely fine now. I’m sure there’s going to be some arguments anyways though.

I wouldnt say he is powerful still in any way but he is certainly a little better. I've gotten a good amount of 4 and 3ks in every game I play with him but then again I am a heavy killer main with a lot of hours but imo he could still use one more buff or two

He's definitely playable, but still not great.

Main Event still isn't worth it.

So as crazy as it's gonna make me seem, I normally play any killer im learning strictly without add-ons which might be good for you buy if not nothing wrong with putting on some good add-ons. Now that his recoil is fixed it's easy to land knives on someone in the open and easier to commit. Remember you're a slower killer so quick downs are important

Don't be afraid to let someone go if it's taking too long to down them and if they're close dont waste time with knives go for m1. Im not sure about perk builds but im sure there are some good ones out there.

They need to remove the recoil, make his blade hits from 8 to 6, and rework his main event. I've seen an amazing idea to rework his main event. I hope they make changes soon and to the Twins too. If you want to know about the idea I found it's on YT "Big brain oni main" is his YT. He talks about the changes he would make and I enjoyed it.

I can do really well on him typically, but there's a few loops and lay outs where you feel really weak. Once the Survivors notice these spots and run there, it becomes annoying. Main Event can be super deadly in the 1/20 times it comes up when you can actually use it. The other 19 times it hurts me or didn't need it.

He feels better to play, but he is certainly not any stronger. He's extremely weak in most situations.

IMO, His main strength that differentiates him from the other two ranged killers is his ability to chew through health states. With enough practice, you can back rev, damage, track them in damage boost for a quick down. It's really map dependent though, but pretty incredible if the odds line up. I honestly can't help but scream when I see Lery's.

Definetly better and way more fun to play but still a bit on the weaker end but I dont mind.

    Add-On dependent, but playable.

Easily the worst killer on console. Holy hell, he's a nightmare; I play at very high sensitivity so I don't get 360'd and so I can lunge around corners, but playing him at high sensitivity makes trickster almost unplayable since you can't correct your aim fast enough or precise enough to hit zig zagging survivors. Third killer in a row to be a ######### to play on console too.

He's playable now. People actually have a chance to get good at him to see how good he is when you face one who doesn't waste knives.

I would say now he's in a good spot to collect data on. Before it was just so obvious he was bad.

probably still need a look at main event and how long high wall loops completly destroy him but for now it's okay.

For pc that is. on console he is and will always be horrible by design. A controller just isn't made to keep someone in your line of fire for a set amount of time.

Hes ofc playable. But u cant play him on Red Rank, all matches i went with him its all lost , 2k or 1k or all 4 escapes. Vs Really bad solo survs then i can 4k. Playing him on high rank ull feel like ur handicap and ur at a massive disadvantage. I dont know why hes not 115%, hes very easy to loop with 110

The Decay system is really dumb, and it takes 8 hits to down a survivor, not to mention once u got all the hits they become Red and u need to hit another one...

On pc he’s manageable, but low tier. He makes me want to play huntress or plague still.

on my switch he’s still unplayable

For me that’s the worse part. Mediocre loopers getting boosted because it takes so long to get a hit or down them if they know the basics.

I find myself dropping all chases until I find the weak link and I tunnel them out.

I've tried to main him, gave him the good old college try and even spent shards to get him a cool outfit. But sadly even after the update he just isn't cutting it and back to huntress I go.

Right now he is at least for me still the worst killer in the game i am no joking that i actually had more fun playing him in the ptb when his daggers were actually scary with the ricochet. The moment they nerfed that addon he became the biggest bully magnet. While playing him i have gotten some of my worst loses while playing killer and i am not putting that mildly. I would prefer playing trapper with no addons than him right now and if they just left the ricochet addon as it was and not follow the stupid ,,Wah wah he just aims at my feet and downs me very fast'', he would have been quite scary to go against. To compensate just lower his dagger count easy fix. Trickster right now is what we got after the devs listened to survivors yet again and just gave us some half assed ,,buffs'' that still didn't fix his biggest issue of being trash in the 1v4 department and didn't change that much his weak 1v1. Killer that have no map pressure at least can get decently fast downs and slugs to build up some sort of pressure, while he can't do neither. Right now his 5th or 6th dagger should injure not 8th that decision was extremely untested against viable survivors which just gets us back to the problem of dbd, the devs don't test their game at least from the things they show us.

I’d say he’s pretty average now. Better than pig and Myers at least imo

Twins, at minimum, is more playable on console. The last true "much worse on console" Killer we had was Slinger, now it's Trickster. Outside of stuff like Blight's j-flick, the other killers were only slightly better.
