kicking gens needs a buff

like seriously kicking gens without a perk does literally nothing.

I would maybe slow down 2 miliseconds of progress and barely any damage.

the regression is really slow too

oh and get this survivors can just "tap a gen" to HALT the regression. Which takes 1/60th of a second to do. It's so fast they can do it mid chase too with zero repercussions

kicking gen = 3 seconds

gen tapping = 1/60th of a second

seems fair, no wonder killers can't provide gen pressure without POP or ruin.

Yeah I agree. I can't believe gen kicking hasn't been buffed since it does practically nothing currently at base. I think base should take off like 10% and start regression 100% of single survivor repair speed (now it's like half of one survivor if remember correctly)

They never planned for that. Kicking gen just starting regression. But survivors can stop regression so fast and that is problem. Kicking gen 3 seconds, so stopping regression also has to be 3 seconds and that will be fair.

And there is perks. If you wanna make kicking gen more useful use POP. Gen tap has to be nerf and that's all. For others we have perks for use.

I know. I've been saying this as well.

The fact survivors can just tap gens in the middle of chase to stop regression is pretty stupid.

I also do tapping gens when I play survivors, and still I think it shouldn’t exist.

Base regression needs to be increased and survivors should have to work on a gen for like 3 seconds to have the regression removed.

Just had a match now trying to get a gen that's at 99 to regress WHILE defending a hook next to it

they keep ######### gen tapping it in my face, I literally can't provide any pressure.

Finally I can agree with a Lord_Tony post, damn it took a while.

The way you pressure gens without pop or ruin is the same way you pressure them with pop or ruin. You down survivors quickly, and force others to go in for the save. Ruin won't work if you can't get survivors off of gens and pop won't work if you can't get survivors on hooks. All they do is add insult to injury, although it's usually more like adding injury to insult.

Don't count on a buff to kicking gens; those aren't meant to always work. Your main avenue to pressure is through murder, not property damage. You are the killer, after all.

Yes, I usually ignore gens if I don't have pop.

I'm basicly ok with regression time and kicking time. I wish survivors couldn't just tap it to get rid of regression. It doesn't seem fair. Survivors should stay on gen for 3 seconds to fix it.

Tapping gen should be an additional condition to some existing gen perk for survivors.

Honestly, yeah. You’re right. The best change is make base regression 400% what it is now (I believe it is currently 1/4 of a charge) and add a base 5% instant regression penalty. It discourages gen tapping, especially mid-chase, and makes kicking a generator more worth while. The base instant regression will probably not stack with PGTW and the new regression rate will have ruin nerfed (likely to either 50-75% additional regression speed).
