So let me get this straight....
So killers get their knickers twisted and cry their eyes out because survivors are gen camping right? Or EG camping...
Right anyway, so basically I've played just now against spirit, she stood camping 2 of my pals on the hook (fair enough not our loss in so many ways and only damaging their BP and losing time) totally get that's not against rules either and we play how we want. Pain in the backside for the ones hanging there but it is what it is.
The thing I can't get my head around is survivors after often accused alot of the time for camping gens or farming. However, I've just finished a gen and gone to one that's obviously been worked on. No sign of spirit at all for a few minutes against any one of us... up until going to this particular gen and she's literally just come out from behind a wall next to it and oops obsession has been activated.
So correct me if I'm wrong is that also not blatent gen camping? 😂 I'm guessing it's okay for killers to camp and thats okay, but if a survivor does it all hell breaks loose.
This person's been camping pretty much the entire game and I know that through running kindred.
My early morning rant guys 😂 asking for a dbd amigo here for opinions and no animosity with me or anyone else stating personal opinions 😊

yeah you know that one person's fixing, hides for a bit and goes back to the same gen?.. that's what I've been told so many times it is. I didn't get the deal with that either first hearing it and thought that was ridiculous.

you're upset that a killer stopped you from doing a generator??????????

No no not at all... that's fair game my guy.
I'm wondering why it's so wrong that a survivor hides around 1 gen and why its alright for a killer to do it. Literally face camped from the very start and it was just marvellous how none of us had seen her but was hanging round this final gennie the whole time 😂
Knew I'd get some sort of animosity somewhere.

i don't think i've ever seen anyone ever complain about a survivor hiding near a gen, your complaint is misplaced.

Misplaced? That's a good one. 😂
You'll come across this bizarre thing at some point I'm sure my friend.

"Gen camping" is a pathetic excuse... but I know where it's coming from.
A killer kicks a gen, and the regression is immediately halted due to a survivor hiding somewhere nearby. It feels like playing killer is entirely futile, because even when you ARE pressuring gens, it doesn't amount to anything. It's why some people choose to camp hooks instead, because going out to pressure gens won't do anything.
Of course, that's mostly down to them not playing well enough to find the survivor that's hiding nearby, but not everyone is a hugely experienced killer, and when you're learning killer and this is your experience game after game, then you develop these mindsets and habits.
They really need to stop 'gen tapping' from being a thing (a minimum 3 seconds to stop regression?) and give more impact to kicking a gen, so that when a killer actively goes out to pressure gens, they actually achieve something.
