I’ve officially heard it all...
Just played a few matches. I’d say around 6? As my last match was loading I could hear my dog choking on something downstairs so I did what most people would do and rushed downstairs. When I came back up I was just being carried around the map by a Trickster. 2 people were dead and another person was injured and being chased by the killer and my poor David lol. I noticed one of the dead survivors was a TTV so I opened their stream to see if they were live and they were. Obviously she and her friend were insulting me saying I am a crybaby who went AFK for being the Obsession. I’m sorry but, since when was that a thing?! 🤣
She then files an endgame report about me and says I was and I quote “deliberately not struggling or recovering to purposely aid the killer” LMAO.
I went into her chat to explain that I was AFK because my dog was choking and I had to tend to him and she says that it wasn’t her problem and she then thanked me for ruining her last match of the day and said people like me are what’s wrong with the community. She then blocked me before I could say anything else.
So you’ve heard it here first folks, if your pet is choking, you must let them die in order to spare the TTV’s feelings.

The TTV part is relevant because she was streaming so I could see / hear everything she was saying about me. Are you seriously telling me that if an AFK person told you “sorry for being AFK but my dog was choking downstairs so I had to leave” you’d blame them for making your game bad? LMAO. GOOD AND BYE.

Thing is that you don't know what makes them be afk, so maybe take the chill pill and move on. This is just a video game after all.

just ignore 'em! life happens in the background, and its much more important than a game.
it'd be no different from participating in a team sport IRL, only to have to drop out of a game for a day because of an emergency. sure, it sucks and degrades team performance, but it's necessary because you need to take care of something, and they can't control that.
so don't feel too bad!

I've been jumping on TTV survivors streams while I'm in their survivor group and some of the excuses and chat they spew are hilarious. I'm watching them try to loop and getting smacked and of course, it's just a litany of excuses that vaults don't work, the killer is lagging, the lunge was longer than it could be, and so on.
Or they are sitting in a corner doing jack all and complain that their team is trash for not doing all 5 gens while they do nothing but run in circles and chat to their 3 viewers about their thoughts on the new killer or patch.
It's becoming one of my favorite things about the solo survivor.

I probably should have clarified, but my dog is completely fine now! Somebody left the garage door open (not me) and he managed to help himself to some of his dry food and the greedy guts was eating so fast that he started to choke. But he’s okay now and is sat on my bed giving me “please don’t be mad” eyes. 😂

When someone goes afk, it doesnt say on top of your head the reason, you should know that. I've had people who go afk for non serious reasons.
Maybe if he told them it was bc his dog was choking, they wouldnt have had a problem with it.
So again, there's also others context, not just OPs

From what I read in the post, the streamer seemed to be complaining about OP being afk before OP told them the context of why he was afk.
A lot of people go afk for no serious reason. Cant really expect people to know the reasoning someone goes afk.

I honestly find that to be quite suspicious. No one would be mad for tending your pets if they are in need of help. I'd really like to see the chat for that.
I've went afk multiple times because I have pets, one of them that were elderly, and never got flamed for it.

I literally said in my OP that I explained to her why I went AFK and she said it wasn’t her problem and that I’m what’s wrong with the community. She also personally thanked me for ruining her last match. This was all AFTER she knew I was AFK because my dog was choking. There’s no way this thread should have been taken out of context. A screenshot wouldn’t help. Because she didn’t type her responses, as she was live so she just replied with words. The only thing typed in the chat was me saying why I went AFK. I also don’t think I could even provide that anymore because when I go on her stream the chat box just tells me that I’m banned. So the text is no longer available.

To be quite honest, this has an easy solution and I don't understand why BHVR hasn't implemented it before now. Make it so everyone HAS to click the Ready button for the match to proceed. Anyone who hasn't clicked the Ready button at the 15 second mark gets booted out of the lobby and the game looks for a fill. Right now, the game just continues the countdown, which results in afk players and Killers.

Nah, I’m not petty enough for that. I found it more funny than anything as I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Normally people would go from being annoyed at the AFK person to completely understanding. I just couldn’t believe she still said I ruined her last game of the day. ☠️

That's why I found it weird. I did make the mistake of not reading the entire thread, since I find a lot of the posts both here and on reddit being the same "x bad y good" without much substance, so my bad for assuming she was just rude before you explained the situation. In that case, ######### them. A stupid game < pets.
