You can just tell if a Trickster is on PC or console
I've played Trickster and he was absolute garbage. Too much recoil, too many knives missed consistently, and survivors would barely twitch and avoid most of not all of my knives. I mostly blame console controls, but he's bad anyway.
So you can imagine my shock when I play survivor, SWF or solo, and he beats us more often than not. It's not because we're bad survivors. It's that the Trickster, when he chases us, will not miss. Every single knife he throws is a hit. Once in a blue moon he'll miss, probably because of line of sight blockers. He's almost always using the Melodius Murder add-on, which I'll have to make a separate discussion about. But factor that add-on in or don't, factor our skill in or don't, because neither matters. We were getting outclassed by Trickster because it would always be a PC Trickster. We stepped on the console Tricksters like bugs. If it's a PC Trickster, he won't miss, because the player can adjust their mouse movement to counteract the recoil, like they would in a first person shooter. You can't do that on console. Any minute movement or last second flick you try to do with a ranged killer on a joystick is gonna be way too much and it'll throw your whole aim off. I hate that the projectile mode camera sensitivity and the regular sensitivity are completely different.
But that's my argument. If the Trickster is on PC, you'll be able to tell because like a PC Huntress or Deathslinger, their accuracy and precision will be far above what you would be able to do with them on console. Putting console survivors against PC Trickster makes him seem like an A tier killer.

The trickster is not a good killer!
Just take look at the huntress that can hit you once to make a hit over more range and then at the trickster that needs 7or 8 knives i think.
In my experience you can just get behind cover on almost every map and completely counter him by looping around a semi high wall ( like the haybales on the farm maps or the blue barrels or any high rock) any survivor that has played two games against him will know how to outplay him.
Now to the controller problem,
obviously controller players have a disadvantage compared to PC players, but hear me out, and dont tell any one of this secret strategy I developped: dont play the trickster on controller!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

And yet when I point out that a good Trickster can and will land nearly every knife at every loop and relatively quickly and extremely consistently downs people even when they are counterplaying him I get told I'm an idiot and that I don't know what I'm talking about and probably also something about how I'm cheating?
Punctuation is nice. In extreme moderation.

you are right. a good trickster will land almost every knife when he has line of sight. that is why you are supposed to play differently against him and huntress than against for example a trapper. the main objective when he pulls out his knife is to not stand in line of sight even when you have to give up some distance in order to achieve that. at some point he will have to swap to his m1 weapon again and loop you normaly because many loops deny him his ability to hit you.

Honestly the more i play him the more i start to realise he really isn't that bad.
When you concistantly hit your knives survivors drop like flies. And when i have bad games it most of the time seems to be because I'm missing too much.
Trickster is going to be one of those killers where if your bad at them he's terrible but when you're good and actually hit knives instead of spamming then can be extremly strong.
Going to be the next legion where calling him the worst killer is more of a meme then anything

It's his nap pressure that's the problem. He's like Deathslinger. He can 1v1 well but taking a single bad chase could lose him the game.
