Multiple use DS
Now that DS basically disables when you do literally anything to progress the game (which was deserved) and now actually serves as a legit anti-tunnel perk, I think you should be able to use it every time you get unhooked. You can be tunneled multiple times a game.

I'm not a fan of ds at all, but this isn't entirely bad logic. It could still be oppressive in some game situations though, especially end game unhooks.
Maybe multi use, but final gen completion permanently disables it as well?
Anywho I doubt it will ever get reworked again.

Well, no. You would still have DS. However, DS disables if you save someone from the hook, so I don't see it as an issue in end game as much as it used to be.

You already get multiple BT use (which I personally think is too much) and to have multiple use DS is too much. Assuming each triggers each time and survivor gets a full heal after each hook and killer gets 3 hooks, a killer has to hit a single survivor 10 times to kill them (2 instances of Bt, 2 after DS, and 6 basic hits after full heal after hook). This would then mean that a killer easily have to do 40 hits each game. That's too much

DS would still be a problem in the end game because if a Survivor is downed close enough to the gate while they have DS active, you can kiss that Survivor goodbye unless you have a mori active.

I mean even with how DS is now that doesn't change anything...at that point, going for the survivor in end game that was off hook for a kill is just a pitty kill for yourself .

I'm saying even if a killer is being a total tool that's still way too much to expect a killer to deal with. It sucks when a killer tunnels and camps against you but multiple DS would certainly further decrease killer population which is already small.

And it should change IMO. I would be okay with allowing DS to trigger multiple times in exchange for it being permanently disabled once the Exit Gates are powered.

No. And I am antitunnel and pro DS. But, how can a killer be tunneling 8 times a game?
You get one chance each to slow a tunneling killer. A perk that is still god tier end game.
At some point, it is your responsibility to get better at looping. Not to mention, BT and DH.

I more reference the situation where someone is unhooked at the end while gates are open but they retain ds. It's a lose lose. Take the day or they crawl out.

DS is a free out with the exit gates open. It is up to the survivor to use or save it for later.
You are trying to remove that decision making.

I'd rather it didn't. A more nuanced rework (like having the timer pause while being chased by the Killer) would be fine, but it doesn't need multiple uses.

Hell, I'd honestly be fine with 2x use AND removing any healing/unhook actions from the list of disqualifying conditions provided that they actually just make DS deactivate once the gates are powered.
They did a good job by finally addressing DS, but I've come around to recognize that they over-compensated by removing too much in-game viability while somehow overlooking the remaining end-game abuse.... which was really the part about DS that always felt like the biggest BS in the world.
Anyone saved with that last minute unhook/deliverance/kobe still gets their free escape. If those gates are open, you're totally powerless to stop any DS survivor from leaving. You've seriously just gotta watch them slowly crawl their way to victory on their belly, or you decide to actually HELP THEM by eating the stun so they can sprint out since it ends the game that much faster for you.
Whether you know its coming or not, there's nothing you can do as counter-play. You're always the helpless killer who can't stop someone literally bleeding to death from escaping their grasp because you can't even slam your foot in their back to hold them in place for 60 seconds.

Nah, survivor should be afraid of healing at the hooks. Just go away/hide and let your team mate aggro the killer with his scratch mark.
If you want a fast heal there is Inner Strength or Second Wind that will heal you after 8s in a locker or 20s after unhook.

I would make it so DS doesn’t deactivate when your on the ground, if the killer tunnels you and waits it out it still should do it’s purpose. I like the nerf because it’s an actual anti tunneling perk and not an immunity perk like it was before.
For an example, if you have like 10 seconds of DS like and the killer downs you the timer stops. He either slugs you or picks you up, either way DS will stay active and do it’s purpose by being an anti tunneling perk.
If I had to nerf anything to it would to deactivate DS when opening gates.

also it doesn't matter if the gates are powered you're still tunneling. I love saving DS for EGC because I can use it at a very decisive moment.

Yeah, basically. Don't go tunneling if you don't have to, but if they jump in a locker and you suspect DS you might as well eat it unless it throws the game.

Granted in most instances yes but not necessarily. I've had times where I down the unhooked, down the Dser, hook the unhooker, and then pick up dser.l, then get dsed. Honestly in those situations, although I admittedly don't feel super strongly about it, should also cancel DS regardless of remaining time

So avoid tunneling to minimize DS during the early-mid game, but also tunnel to minimize DS during the endgame.
Sounds to me like we have a no-win scenario here.

Id rather ds itself be more threatening to justify the 1 use then make it multi use. Let me paint you a picture facing a spirit in general most times she tunnels me off hook hits me i have bt. She phasewalks after me and downs me again. I ds her and run and she just phasewalks to me again and downs me. How do we fix this so a killer actually doesn't want to tunnel? For 10 seconds after the ds stun you leave Nothing. So its like current ironwill lucky break for 10 seconds and their stunned so when they look back up your gone. A killer then can still burn it for the endgame since its a 1 use but it also guarantees you get away.

But multiple other people said that if we don't tunnel DS out during the early game, it's our fault if the Survivor still has DS during the end game and uses it to effectively guarantee an escape. So who's correct here?

you can disagree all you want but at the end of the day DS doing what the perk is designed to do. whether it's before or endgame if you tunnel you deserve the stun.

Wait, but you just said that if I tunnel DS out early, I can avoid a scenario where I can't stop the Survivor from escaping. So which is it? Do I deserve the stun for tunneling early, or do I deserve not being able to stop the Survivor from escaping at the end for not tunneling early?

Arguing with survivor mains can be (granted not all of them) rather pointless. I remember one guy openly admitting that killers should lose because 4 survivors should have more fun and beat a killer and who cares about cares.
I play both pretty evenly and been in red rank for both for both consistently when I've played and never use DS. It's an unnecessary perk imo. There are already anti tunnel options in the game.

Definetly not nerfed to the ground. Nerfed to the ground implies its worthless (like old old freddy was at launch). It got at least a somewhat reasonable nerf and is still very strong

if you're tunneling someone at EGC during endgame for a kill than that's kind of cheesy. I know that may sound insane to a lot of people but this perk exists for a reason.
