Just my usual, regularly scheduled rant about awful teammates.
Was just in a match on Iron Works whilst running Tenacity. I intentionally went down for a Meg being tunnelled by Deathslinger to buy her some time to escape. Of course he ignored me on the ground and kept going after Meg. Anyway, knowing Deathslinger would return for me the moment he downed Meg, I started to crawl away so I could get further away than expected, and out of the expected areas I know Deathslinger would search.
This dumb ass Ash insists on running up to me straight away to try and heal me. I keep cancelling and crawling away CERTAIN of what Deathslinger would do, and KNEW Ash wouldn’t get me up in time. Ash FINALLY relents after a half dozen attempts, once he spots Deathslinger and lets me crawl away. I get halfway across the map, Ash trails me somewhat, I have pretty much recovered at this point (because of Tenacity), and was ready for Ash to revive me, but for some dumb ass reason Ash decides to sabotage a hook nearby once he hears the periphery of the TR. I try to crawl AWAY from what that jerk just did, but then I’m spotted by Deathslinger as he comes to investigate the hook, picks me up.
I’m done for the day. I am exhausted by other survivors stupidity. I’m exhausted from the primary reason I am found or I die is because of another survivor.
Ugh.

Well, obviously, don't DC.
But
I feel you, Solo Q is the worst.
16 -
And that's how you transform a Survivor into a Killer main. A famous dose of soloqueue experience.

In hindsight I know I shouldn’t, but teammates doing stuff like that makes me so angry, it temporarily clouds my judgement.

Sorry brother but that DC just made you part of the problem. Ash might have been "trying" to help. His intentions might have been good just poorly executed. We all have to remember this is just a game. If you get that mad you have to rage quit you might want to take a break from the game.
Had a match the other night where I was being tunneled and finally got to the gates and was downed. Well, I was within crawling distance of the exit and two of the survivors were trying to heal me where they could have just let me crawl out. Every time they tried to heal me it made me stop and prevented me from getting to the exit. I was picked up and hooked ending the match for me. Yes, I was a bit miffed but in the end they were trying to help when they could have done other things like body block or kept the killers attention so I could crawl out. But I took this as the other solo survivors trying to help. In the end, just move on there will be better matches.

That... Sucks.
I usually just say "suck it up buttercup" but that's just atrocious.
0 -
No it didn't. As long as it doesn't become a habit it's fine.
I honestly don't blame you. One time i saw a claudette run around the map and just drop pallets left and right, the killer obviously just went following her around so that she could keep doing it. So the moment the killer stopped following her and was heading my way for the hit I just left. Not bothering with that.
Had my 5 minutes of relaxation and then searched for a match as nurse.

I love Tenacity. People sleep on that perk way too much. Unfortunately the Ash didn't get the message.
I get similar frustrations with We'll Make It and Aftercare. My team just doesn't seem to notice the blue icon in the corner.

Had a Claudette the other night drop a pallet right next to me for no reason lol. I just chalked it up to hopefully and mistake but it was maddening. I had to get out of there quick fast and in a hurry because the killer was coming. Solo survivor really sucks sometimes.

No. You can’t excuse not thinking with “just trying to help”. It’s not okay if the majority of “help” some attempts to provide only gives teammates grief and gets them killed.
It’s not excusable.

Ahh the joys of solo queue. A horror-themed dumpster fire. It's the reason i play killer most of the time.
I only play the bare minimum (shard bonus, tomes) these days because it really takes a toll on my will to play.
1 -
How was Ash supposed to know what you were trying to do?
5 -
It isn’t hard to figure out “let me crawl away” by the second cancel.
Secondly, sabotaging a hook BEFORE I’m even being carried, and when Deathslinger had no clue where I was still is simply just a dick, selfish move.

All I am just saying is dont think that people are trying to screw you or the game over. Some are just not as experienced as you and made bad calls. Trust me, I am in the same camp as you. I have this type of stuff happen all the time but I dont rage quit, I just move on to the next game.
2 -
And that is why I main killer.
Frankly I'd rather deal with untouchable survivors that that dumpster fire
1 -
But it IS inconsiderate to not THINK before taking an action.
My DC may have been inconsiderate in hindsight, but screw teammates like that. Inconsiderate behaviour begets inconsiderate behaviour.

In a twist of Irony, Ash has We're Gonna Live Forever XD
5 -
Whenever I notice survivors getting screwed over by their teammates, I try to cut them some slack, IE letting them wiggle out of my grasp or leaving the chase when I should've had the hit.
I feel bad for you, man.

They didn’t.

It can be harder than people think.
Just this week, I went to save someone from their second hook, but no matter what position I stood in or how I tilted my mouse, I could not get the damned unhook prompt to show. The surv thought I was trolling them and suicided. Sometimes the game is janky. Sometimes people are just new(er). (Yes, sometimes they're trolls, but what can you do about those?)
I get your frustrations. I've shared them when I've watched all three of my teammates abandon gens to come unhook me, or something similar. But, I always try to remember that they may not have all the same information that I do in a given circumstance. You might have been sure what the Deathslinger would do (and be right about it). Ash might not have been. It's possibly he might have been irritated with you for just crawling away when he thought it was the perfect opportunity to get you back up.

Dude you need to take a break from the game because that crap happens just about every night I play solo survivor. You can never go into a game thinking players are as experienced as you so yeah,,,take a break.
2 -
I can't notice it as much anymore with the UI change so I've been guilty of this. I apologize on behalf of your teammates.

Man, I felt this to the core of my soul. Bad killers suck but bad team mates are definitely the worst. I had a Jake today body block me in a corner until the killer came right after we got in the match. He points at me, then runs around the killer and away. The killer let him go and hit me. Luckily I clipped it, so BHVR support can deal with that guy. But why bro, just for funnsies?
0 -
Some people should t be in the rank they are but thats ranking system issue.
Survivors should be earning much more BP than they do so it would feel less ######### getting teammates and games like these.
But since the BHVR is so stingy with BP I doubt it will happen anytime soon.
In solo q, the survivors are the real killer

You and many other people have to realise that 95% of players who play this game have NO idea about half of the perks, mechanics, nuances etc and you have to set your expectations accordingly. The game barely even teaches then how to even play the game properly so I can't really blame them when this game's tutorials are so unbelievably outdated and unhelpful that they're not even worth doing and only exist to check sensitivity and graphics options.
5 -
I have to agree with, @sesawyer3127. I think the guy was just trying to help you out. I know how frustrating playing solo can be, but I will never get mad at teammates for trying to help me (even if they did something dumb). We all make mistakes from time to time and it's just a game. Maybe try taking a break?
4 -
Can you believe that ash would try and heal his teammate and not just ignore him and also try and stop him from getting hooked, solos are the worst.
6 -
Imagine having WGLF and We´ll make it and trying to get someone up, who refuses to.
Truly unsettling.
2 -
Yesterday I brought kindred, and every time someone was hooked, I saw that I was always the only one on a gen. In fact, I'm the one that popped all three gens that were done.
I just removed kindred for my sanity. Ignorance is bliss sometimes

Sabotaging a hook, so it says “Hey Deathslinger, we’re over here”, isn’t trying to help.
0 -
No killer in their right mind is not going to return to a previously downed slug after downing another survivor. And just as I suspected, Deathslinger returned to try and find me immediately upon downing Meg.
There was not a chance in hell Ash would have got me up in time. He would have been speared, meaning both our time was wasted.
0 -
If he had that, great. But he didn’t. It was apparent due to the regular healing speed BEFORE I saw his loadout after DC’ing.

Solos really need ingame voice chat. This would solve so many problems.
0 -
I don’t want to be talking to 12 yr olds. Voice Chat won’t fix a player’s lack of mental acuity.
3 -
He could have ignored you all together and just sat on gens and waited for the hatch, that's a bad teammate. Someone who is trying their best to help you multiple times isn't a bad teammate.
3 -
and this is why I hate solo queue because you got those teammates that make those dumb decisions and you're just like "really dude smh".
0 -
Then dodge the lobby or mute them. It works in R6 and other pvp games.

"In solo q, the survivors are the real killer"
I felt this in my very soul. It's definitely the conclusion I've come to after playing this game for a couple of months.
Sometimes it's stupidity, sometimes it's genuine mistakes, sometimes it's blatant trolling - and sometimes, I guess people can't read your mind and vice versa, so without the ability to communicate, the plan they have in their head and what you have in yours aren't always going to mesh.
0 -
Yeah I would've ran over you to see what your bar was at, 75+ and imma pick you up, anything else and imma stay on my gen or stay out of sight.
0 -
I one time was chased by the killer across map for 2 gens. I died on my first hook cause teammates be dumb.
0 -
It may not have been a smart thing to do, but I still believe the guy was trying to help you.
1 -
The crazy and stupid stuff in solo queue is legit why I still play Survivor at all.
I love going into a game and rolling the dice @_@
2 -
Same here! It can sometimes be frustrating in solo, but I prefer that over SWF any day. lol
1 -
Just out of curiosity, how did you expect him to know any of that inner monologue? Were you tapping out morse code on your strafe left and right keys? Clearly he didn't know what you were up to and by another more charitable analysis was actually trying to help.
This community is so toxic it really is crazy that anyone enjoys playing at all.
