Are you also bored because of the new content?

I don't know if I'm alone here but I'm bored. Yeah we got a new killer and a new survivor but...its still just the same. I see no tricksters, no new perk builds to face. Still the same boring stuff like the last months.

Oh what will the killer have? Ruin? Undying? BBQ? Pgtw? What a surprise.

Oh what will the survivors have? Iron will? Ds? Unbreakable? Dead hard? Spine chill? What a surprise.

I know the game gets new content but still it feels a bit more boring then in the past?

Yea Tricksters are pretty rare, but there are a few of us who play him pretty religiously. Maybe one day you'll come across me. I think the all kill chapter is my 2nd fav behind curtain call, but not a lot of people liked all kill, and the perks I think that came from it are used quite a bit at least from what I've seen.

Well that's what happens to all games over they years. League of Legends, rainbow six siege, wow, overwatch and so on. It is always roughly the same with some new characters and maps. Of course dbd is a more extreme case since the basic gameplay has no variations and is the same since release.

No, the new content does not bore me, it excites me. But it does feel like little has changed when a super weak killer gets released. I'm hoping the next year or 2 of killers are great successes to make up for how weak Twins and Trickster were.

Me the same, we still have a bunch of bad perks, Killers Who aren't designed at their full potencial, etc...

Well, trust me, at least DbD tries to bring some variation into the game, something that Rainbow Six has decided not to do anymore long ago.

Back to topic, I stopped playing a while ago and got back for the new chapter. I really like the design and bacstory for the Trickster, even though I hope his buffs are going to make him more decent, at the very least. I play on console, so I can't say anything about what I could not try in person, on the PTB. But from what I've heard, he's gonna need more. That said, yes, people are always going to use the stuff that is easier and effortless to play. That's why there are always people playing Spirit, Freddy and SWF in DbD, people who can only play with Ash and Vigil in Rainbow (the two easiest operators by a long shot), people who play Master Yi, Yasuo, Katarina in LoL. Has anyone ever played CoD Black Ops 3, by chance? If you did, you know that lobbies used to be pretty much a VMP simulator. People don't want challenge, they want dinner served. Don't be surprised by how sad most of the playerbase can be.

I Think it's because of no new maps for the past 3 chapters. The map reworks/graphical overhaul is great and all, but I feel like we really brand new maps in order to a chapter to feel like a ''Chapter''.

This game releases content so slowly. Cod cold war has more maps and has only been out since 6 months. Fed up of playing Macmillan and AutoHaven every other game. The rework maps has freshened it up a little bit, but that's worn off now. I dont like Kpop or resident evil, so I'm only really playing for the competiveness of playing skilled human players.

Not really, but then I play a lot with meme builds.

Like Trapper with Hoarder and Franklin's, where I spend the whole game trapping items and chests.

Or Starstruck, Agitation, Mad Grit, and Iron Grasp on Huntress to go for backpack murders.

Just goofy stuff to have fun.

Or weird builds to make use out of perks Survivors probably aren't ever going to see anyone else run.

I find it keeps me interested in individual matches and keeps me excited about the outcomes.

And I also play games and do stuff in my free time besides DbD.

I know MCote made it comically overused and meme'd, but if you play DbD a lot, and only DbD, it is going to get unfun eventually.

Taking week long, or longer, breaks has probably done wonders for keeping me interested in DbD.

All this said, the last time a major gameplay update was released was with the End Game Collapse like 2 years ago.

And the last real big meta-change was Hex: Undying about 7 months ago, and that's not exactly an interesting or exciting perk to face as Survivor (cleanse Ruin twice!)

I could totally understand if you were getting irked at the lack of any real innovations to DbD's gameplay.

Honestly a lot of the perks are trash, and people naturally use the very best. How can you not expect a lot of people to use Iron Will, it could be the very thing that saves you in a lot of instances when the killer is searching for you and you’re quiet.

I never use DS but I’m at rank 7 and the amount of killers at ranks 5-10 that camp / tunnel is getting annoying.
