Killer speed huh?

So I had a game on the Lab map and was catching survivors pretty quickly without needing blood lust, but then the next game on cold wind I couldn’t catch up to 2 survivors in particular I had blood lust 1 and 2 and my character felt extremely weighed down. I feel they might have been speed hacking slightly or something? Cuz there were multiples times I should’ve caught them but it just wasn’t happening.

Most killers, at base, only move .6m, or 15%, faster than survivors. This means if they have a 10m head start and just hold W in a straight line, as is the current meta, then it takes you around 16-17 seconds to catch up.

Trickster is a 110% movement speed killer, so he's slow like Hag and Huntress. Depending on which Coldwind map you got, some of them have some really nasty jungle gym/pallet setups that could cause you grief.

No, he felt slower than he usually did. Like I said in a previous game I had 0 issues catching up to survivors even when being looped. In this game out of the 4 survivors it was only 2 I was never able to catch up to. I would get extremely close to getting them and then boom they were slightly more ahead. I felt slower when chasing the 2 in particular as well.

Lap map has plenty cut off path. Coldwind isnt.

Survivors who can loops will wait for Killer at loops & TL to mind game.

As for my friend who is new, I told him just pressing W, its actually more effective than he tries to loops.

Killers only move 10-15% faster than survivors, its not much at all, that's why holding W is so strong.

The reason why on maps like the lab versus the farm you catch them quicker is because its harder for them to see you and know where you are, so you get closer before they even start running (or they even run into you sometimes) and you can cut them off easier on the lab because again, they can't really see you.

On open maps not only do they see you coming much further away, but cutting them off might not even be an option.

A lot of Killers feel sluggish and weighed down to me. I run Shadowborn on almost all of them cause they feel like utter garbage to me otherwise. It feels like a waste and honestly it should be base kit
