1v1 in endgame is boring and needs a Rework
When you are the last survivor all you need to do is look for the hatch and get lucky, if the killer closes it, too bad the exit gates are going to be .000001 centimeters from each other 99% of the time. Then you die unless the killer is nice or doesn't go to the exit gates.
For killer, it's just get lucky and close the hatch and win because the exit gates are right next to each other.
How can the 1v1 endgame be reworked?

I said 99% of the time in the post...

Gates are almost always far apart for me as killer. Hatch is a crutch, bad mechanic and should be replaced.

You are Hag main and you are not trapping gates? Are you serious lol

#1 I don't main Hag. I just like playing with her, and a handful of other killers. Pfp is not indicative of what killer/survivor people main.
#2 Survivors can crouch.
Normally I'm wrecking the survivors so hard with her, we don't even get to the gate defending stage of the game, except for closing the stupid hatch which somehow powers them, which is why I sometimes slug for the 4k.

As Freddy main i dont need slug. I love hatch challange. Before last gen i am using snares on both gates and that gaves me location. And then usually killing last guy. I am not saying you are bad but you know someone will play better than you sometimes. Mechanics are good, so for lose last guy dont blame mechanics. 3K is good score already.

It shouldn't be reworked. A 1v1 is supposed to be in the killer's favor because he's supposed to be able to take on 4 survivors at once. The only way to "fix" this would be to effectively buff survivors as more of them fail, which is absurd.

I just pick a direction and run. If killer gets the hatch first, well, looping practice!!
Honestly, at that point, you lost. Hatch isn't even a moral victory to me, personally. Just some blood points.

Honestly, EGC is such a bad mechanic that I wouldn't mind another change.

I mean, you failed both ways of getting out you really shouldn't be getting a possible 3rd way out, you get 3 chances, first chance is doing gens and getting out, second chance is Hatch, third chance is EGC escape
And on some maps killers can't even defend both gates as they are so big

End game is toss-up. The match is over.
The real problem with 2 survivors vs 1 killer. Because its playing around hatch and seeing who can hide the best.

If the killer killed the others and found hatch first he won. Simple as that
The hatch was your second chance. Game over.

I get more annoyed as killer in this instance honestly, especially if you shut down a team early. If a killer gets a 3k with, let's say, only 2 gens done the killer deserves the 4k imo. The hatch is a bad mechanic that encourages people to abandon teammates, not do objectives, and penalizes killer for doing well (largely due to killer losing BP and emblem because of the game giving pity escape).
Now as survivor, on the one hand I think it feels a bit too slow to open gates but when I play killer it feels sooo fast. I'm inclined to think it could do well to buff open speed if last survivor but only slightly
