AFK killers and cocky survivors.

Hey guys, so I'm hoping one of yall can clear me up on this.

So just a few moments ago I had an AFK killer (doctor) and he was literally not moving throughout the entire game, apart from a little damage on a team member. We managed go get all gens done in 5 minutes. So all more fool him was my thoughts..

Anyway, so I've managed to get the EG open and 2 of us escaped, my twinnie Bill went back inside the map and I decided to just go. Taking my chance go escape whilst I could. Whilst spectating, Bill and Meg basically went back to the killer flashing their lights in his face,

and uh oh you're screwed!.... exposed was activated! ๐Ÿ˜ณ I knew as I escaped this sort of thing was bound to happen... which was why I chipped. Once they had finished their match, of course I had an inbox from one of them...

"Why did you just leave? And leave us?... you are what is called a trash game player" ... (wasn't too bothered as that's literally the most comical polite way of saying what they really thought of me - bless em) have alot more salt than that I can assure you.

My question is, if I opened the EG, and left, how does this make me a trash game player? And did I do the right thing to not be involved in this cockyness? Also, what the hell goes through a survivors mind to think that being a good idea to take a massive risk? ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Well apparently it was mine they got hooked and killed because I wasn't there to make any saves ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

Why go back in there I'm the first place is my response! ... seriously if you're gonna get cocky least have a back up plan ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Yeah, to be honest if it's usually an afk killer I'm just circling him to get some boldness points, but yeah if it backfires that's just how it goes sometimes.

Won't lie I've done it against pyramid head, soon changed my mind when he moved ๐Ÿ˜ณ Kate bricked her knickers for definite at that point ๐Ÿ˜‚

They weren't necessarily being cocky, I would burn my flashlight For blinding points, but I'd be smart enough to do it before all the gens were done. Chewing you out leaving is extremely childish.

Some folks like to farm during these moments, Go through chests, get some blinds, do totems, etc. But that is up to them and not your responsibility to stick around for. I know personally, I would just get out on most occasions. Either way, I am not flaming on someone that chose to leave.

When I play survivor and the killer is AFK for almost the entirety of the match, I always assume NOED (and possibly Blood Warden) and play accordingly. I'll loot chests, break dull totems and hooks, and do whatever I can to pile up as much points before leaving. I MIGHT try to get into a "chase" for some bold points, but you can bet I'm not getting anywhere close enough to get hit, and if the killer even moves an inch, I am out of there. Once the gens are done, I'm opening a gate and LEAVING.

YouTube is filled with videos of "AFK" killers getting locker/vault spammed in front of them, teabagging survivors right in front of the killer, flashlight clicking, etc. after al of the gens are done -- and then getting downed to someone playing NOED and dying. If you had teammates that wanted to play dumb and stayed in to mess around with the killer, that's on them. In those situations, it's more than often than not someone who's deadset on getting their chance for some good old BM'ing, and they get what's coming to them.

I've never died to an AFK killer who tried that, but I've played with people who have. It wasn't my fault, and it definitely wasn't yours.

Why would you stick around anyway with an afk killer, it's not like you can farm boldness points off them anymore so you may as well dip and go into the next match.

I'm guessing like the other guys have said above get bold points and loot ect, I suppose in some ways it makes sense, but I wouldn't risk that for the amount of extra BP that I can make if j went into a new match and played against a killer that wasn't afk.

To me it seems pretty dumb to try and risk something I could make up for in a decent match.. if that made any sense?

I use to do that but the devs have removed the ability to run in front of a killer and get into chase without them moving, so now you can't even do that with afk killers anymore. That was the only saving grace when going against afk killers for me.

I just get out of there ASAP now and move onto the next match.

I haven't played that long to know that existed lol only played like 3 months pushing... so still learning some tac tics and learning curves. But what I do know is, if its an afk don't wait about just leave and find a more lively match.

Oh and also ALWAYS prepare yourself for to be chased. I have a specific game plan every match, and if that falls apart. You literally have approximately 30 seconds to think of something else to avoid that same mistake happening. I have days where I'm literally the most awful survivor going, and some days and matches I do really well.

Like my guy was slugged on the floor against trickster today, using swf he's threatened to just DC (nothing annoys me more than someone rage quitting).. so I told him to grow a pair, hang on 2 seconds. Knowing I had BT, and unbreakable. I told the others to hold the EG for a few seconds, managed to get him up, told him to run and and to open the gates, of course by the time the killer went back to chase the guy I revived my unbreakable was ready and we all got out. ๐Ÿ˜‚ let's just say the guy wasn't happy at all ๐Ÿ™ˆ

it's the survivors fault for not leaving lol not you. I had a match the other day against a huntress who stood at the gates the whole match. long story short we got the gates opened she downed someone with NOED, left them slugged there and hooked them when timer was really low because she had bloodwarden. thankfully the rest of us escaped. But I asked the killer if that tactic has worked for her before and she said yes lol crazy.

I mean did you really have to answer that question with your question? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰

I asked because I thought I was insane and needed a second based opinion. Turns out I got a lot of positive feedback from it. ๐Ÿ˜˜ thankyou for asking your question though.

Insane how tac tics work. Its very clever. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Edit: but my god if she was afk at one exit door why an earth did you not go to the other one ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah that seems pretty fair, I mean they did just spend the entire match AFK we must give her some blood points before we leave, despite being AFK her own choice to do so ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Nathan13
    Nathan13 Member Posts: 6,725

right and then once she downed that one survivor, I knew bloodwarden was coming so the rest of us rushed out the gate. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Yeah man screw that. I'd of already been out. The woman's an absolute weapon with those things ๐Ÿ˜ I swear I was standing in the killer shack fixing a gen and she threw one through the window and downed my ass ๐Ÿ˜ณ depending what skill the player has she's crazy dude.

Some players just want to blame to others for their own failure. Or even if you make an attempt but failed.

I was a Killer with Rancor, Obsession out right after 5Gen done. I down others with Noed.

They insult the obsession for leaving, I said he had too because of Rancor.

There was Noed in the Game, hooked guy on 1st hook, gates are ready but I tried to find Hex, but I got spotted in progress and I died.

    What I got was "noob".

I rather being an escaped noobie than a dead noobie

I hate survivors who just wonโ€™t leave. They feel the need to rub it in the other playerโ€™s face. Itโ€™s very unsportsmanlike. We need more killers pulling stuff like this to punish survivors for not just leaving. Instead of staying to mock

People will blame everything on others, even when it's their own fault. If the killer is AFk, just leave when you can. Sometimes the killer is fake AFK, like in this example.

I hate that too with a passion. I never go to the doors when they don't leave, I don't give them the satisfaction of seeing them teabag in a safe spot or fake giving me a hit at the exit gates. F those people.

I had a swf like that and I was worried that you were calling me out but my doctor didn't have noed we all escaped I didn't have a flashlight and I was trying to be hooked

Had a game once i was in mid chase. Something happened in real life so had to leave for a few minutes. All gens get done. They dont leave but instead circle around me. I come back and enter tier 3 myers and just unleash hell upon them lol was funny.

๐Ÿ˜‚ well played. Swear some survivors just try and show off some pointless " skills" when infact it's ends quite badly and ends up embarrassing to them ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm chipping the second I'm seeing exposed let anything else a killer has up his sleeve bro. !

Funny thing was we were right by an exit gate lol they could not get it open. bodies just kept hitting the floor. somebody had unbreakable got somebody off hook. Happened couple times lol it was like musical chairs but in the end tier 3 Myers would no allow that exit gate to open

Nah, you were perfectly in the right. Especially if the killer was AFK the whole match. Once the gates are open, unless there is a save that needs to be made, just do the polite thing and leave. Don't let people make you think that going back to taunt is what you're supposed to do, and damn sure don't let them make you think you're responsible for covering their asses for their own cocky mistakes. Whether I'm running solo or duo, once I see NOED pop up, I'm getting out immediately.
