Dead Hard = Invincibility?
Ok... so... please don’t hate me... I am a killer main. I do not think the idea of dead hard is that bad. It’s actually a really cool perk idea. I think the implementation is awful. What does not make sense to me is the invisibility frames. I think a boost forward as an exhaustion perk is a great idea to bait a killer into swinging, but when using dead hard my timing doesn’t matter, I just have to press it around when they’re swinging and I’m instantly invincible. In sprint burst, balanced landing, etc, you can still be hit if you run stupidly into the killer. People should not be able to dead hard into the killer and not get hit if the hit is timed correctly. Let me know your thoughts on how to fix dead hard, because it definitely needs some tweaking.

That's really the appeal of the perk though. If it didn't make you invincible it would be the worst exhaustion perk. They'd have to make the dash 2 to 3 times the distance to be worth using. Honestly it makes me laugh thinking of how many hatchets would hit😂. Without the invincibility it would almost guarantee hatchets because you'd cross like 3 hit box areas in one motion.

A dash is more than enough for an exhaustion perk, the appeal is that you can use it whenever you want, there aren’t any conditions for it other than being injured. I agree that the current appeal is that you can be invincible for a second, but that definitely should not be the case. It’s like if the killers had a perk that allowed you to automatically hit a person in your sight just by pressing E. Requires no skill unlike the other exhaustion perks.

I’m pretty sure the iframes are to prevent the survivor from being hit while dashing since hit boxes are weird and lantency can really mess with this. Almost no amount of time can predict the unpredictability of ping.

If you take out the iframes it pretty much just becomes a new sprint burst. While you do get faster speed from dead hard the time is a second less so it more or less would become the same perk you'd have to be injured to use.

Dead Hard for Distance is it's default use. The ability to "outplay" certain killers that have to use their power to get downs and cannot bait it is a secondary factor. So, removing it's secondary ability while not touching it's primary use seems like a good change to me. It would put it in line with all the other exhaustion perks.

The title reads as "invisibility", not "invincibility", just in case you want to fix it.

Thanks... we all have moments where we can’t read, right?

Ah, just a slip. Happens to everybody.
