People who hate slugging, does it need to be fixed?
Slugging is annoying when you bleed out for most of the match, but does it need to be changed to where it's like camping or tunnel meaning that doing it will cause most of the survs to escape i.e. make it a bad strategy to use in most matches?
Note: I'm assuming everyone who answers hates slugging.

Yeah, killers shouldn't be able to Slug, Camp, Tunnel or Kill survivors. They're called Survivors, they're meant to Survive!

well, killers without anti-gens against strong teams most create pressure one way, so they are given 3 options. slug, camp, or tunnel someone out of the game ASAP. nerf one of these and 2 others will be seen way more. Camp nerf? Well enjoy more sluggish games and vice versa

Yes. Bandaiding problems with perks that become problematic in their own right was a terrible idea. Now the only way to prevent a killer from getting a relatively cheap win or just straight up BMing is by using another perk that punishes them for trying to win no matter what, or by playing in a full party.
Slugging, Unbreakable, No Mither and Soul Guard all need looked into. Right now they just don't do what they should.

No. Its unfortunate that it happened to you. But, its a way for killers put pressure on survivors.
Time is against killers at all time. A game can be over in 5:30. But if a killer has one on the ground, chases another, and the one guy goes to pick up his teammate, thats only one survivor on gen instead of 2.

The only way to combat any of these 'undesirable' killer behaviours, is to create killer perks that discourage them by way of it being more beneficial to not do them.
A perk that rewards the killer for not slugging, camping or tunnelling, however will ultimately end up being the bane of survivors anyway, because anything that rewards the killer is a penalty for the survivor. Survivors hate BBQ & Chilli, and Devour Hope despite them being the healthiest anti-camp perks in the game.

People being slugged on the ground for half the match is incredibly unfun. But what makes it unbearable is the fact that you can't do anything at all to speed up the process except for disconnecting which should never happen. They just need to make it to where you have a way to make yourself bleed out faster. Even if it only reduces the time it takes by a little bit.

Slugging can be extremely powerful if you're a killer who is able to snowball and all the survivors are grouped up. Whether it's liked or not it's a very smart strategy.

Yes I agree. Killers need to be REMOVED from this game so I can finally play my gen sim with creepy atmosphere

They could always kill themselves. Nothing in the name Killer says they're supposed to kill the Survivors. In fact it's obvious he Survivors are who they're NOT supposed to kill.

The way to counter slugging is to pick them up. Killer camping the slug? Rush gens. Slugging is wayyyy more fair than camping and tunneling in my opinion. The in game thing in place to keep killers from slugging is the fact that if a survivor bleeds out they dont get progress towards devout and they dont get bloodpoints. Slugging and tunneling are both valid strategies. If you dont like it adopt strategies that counter those playstyles. Camping is also a strategy (which is super easy to counter) you have 16 perks among all survivors. Killers get 4 perks and the ability to tunnel camp and slug. That makes it fair.

Unless as a killer you can down and hook someone every 30 sec or so, you're going to lose gens. slugging is a band aid (as mentioned above) to the lack of gen regression available to killers. if a killer wants to rank up they need to stop gens. If ruin goes due to bad RNG and you can't get pop in time then it becomes a slug fest. imo a killer kicking the gen as base kit should have more regression. it's pointless without pop or at least overcharge.

Oh stop with that nonsense. The killer cant kill if he's already killed themselves. Plus in the lore they do survive. The entity takes them to a new realm of torment. People who think killers shouldnt get kills in a match are the reason there are so few killer mains. In a balanced game there should be 2-3 kills minimum. Also in a fair game it should be easily possible to get a 4k. You get a 5000 bp bonus for escaping thats not something you should get every match.

Slugging in general is fine. The only balance change I'd lean toward is a soft CD for Infectious Fright because on a killer like Nurse it can be an auto loss if the team is unlucky and happens to all be within her TR.

And the thing is if you are left to slug and your teammates arent picking you up thats on them. Staying slugged isnt the killers problem. You can easily be picked up in less time it would take to unhook. The only exception is if you are actively being capmed on the ground in which case they ought to finish gens and leave you for dead (or hope you have adrenaline.)

I've always thought a much slower unbreakable should be base kit. Slugging is pretty much necessary in red ranks, but at the same time, it really is a bear to play survivor and spend two minutes on the ground. But there are definitely many things I'd change in this game before I focused on slugging.

If a whole team gets slugged, its the survivors fault. Too many players ignore slugged survivors and get downed with no help. Or too many survivors are thirsty for rescues that they end up slugged themselves.

I hate how most survivors on this game say nerf the killer who is meant to be somewhat opressive by design. Have fun with your spooky gen repair cause if yall keep calling for killer nerfs there wont be any killers left to play the game. Keep in mind a lot of killers are matched with survivors many ranks above them. When put in that situation they need to do whatever they can to win. There are still infinite windows and there are still super strong pallets EVERYWHERE. If you want to run the killer for 5 gens all you have to do is drop a pallet loop till the killer goes to break it then run to the next ultra safe pallet so you can loop around it untill they break it giving you time to find the next super safe pallet (gideon meat plant im lookin at you specifically) we as killers have so much crap to deal with in game then after game all we hear is how we tunneled or camped you when we had to do whatever we had to to get what downs we could.

I guess they could increase the amount that the bleed out bar depletes while crawling. At the very least it gives the survivors something to do.
I personally don't mind it, I do it when the match has only gone for 3 minutes and the survivors are down to 2 gens and I am barely at my third to fourth hook.
Yesterday I had one match where they were down to 1 gen but I guess they got too comfortable because I managed to slug and kill them all in the end. Thank god for starstruck.

You say Survivors should have keys that let them escape mid game but I promise you if there was a killer item that instakilled everyone mid-game you would go berserk.

The only thing i'd do is give like a free unbreakable after 2 mins staying on the ground. (Reset if being picked up by a teammate) Just because I hate when I get slugged for the 4k

Define "slugging" please.
Are we talking about an infectious nurse that doesn't pick up anyone at 5 gens or a killer sweating for the 4k or one of these situtations:
- the killer finds two survivors, downs one instantly and starts chasing the other one
- a survivor goes for an instant unhook without BT, Killer downs the unhooked one and starts chasing the farmer boy/girl
- stuff happening during EGC
- that poor baby meg (that either got screwed by matchmaking or happens to play in a swf) that runs blindly into the killer after being unhooked, gets downed but the killer feels bad for her and doesn't hook her again
- killer downs a survivor, then either tinkerer, discordance or some other perk/addon progs or somone simply fails a skill check nearby and the killer goes on protecting the gens
For the first 2 situations, yes, I'd like to have suicide button that becomes available after half of the bleed out bar got used.
All the other stuff, I wouldn't even call "slugging".
