Flashlight games are the easiest games you'll ever play if you know how to bait it out.

I don't really save them; I just don't use them. For them to be effective, you have to play damn mean. So I'm just hanging on to the countless ones I have until they get another tweak.

To clarify I’m on about playing mean to sweats

A map offering or sacrificial ward is still way better. Really sweaty SWFs will combine the key with a hatch offering and a map offering so if you send them to a map with no killer shack or something I find that better than ignoring a death hook DS.
If the match is super close or im getting gen rushed I usually tunnel off first hook and eat the DS anyways. When the team is try to pop out 3 gens in 2 minutes you don’t have time to wait until someone is at second stage to tunnel; especially if there is a key involved.

I guess if you want to against a sweaty tryhard group. I don't use them unless I'm looking for rage, because for some reason it makes people dc even though they are on death hook anyways.

I'm not sure how YOU define "sweats" so I'm not going to try and guess. People playing hard and doing their best is hardly a crime. I do it every match. Granted, tournament squads that are a SWF, loaded to the max, and maximizing every movement can be quite the challenge. Mori would be nice to use against them, but we don't know we are facing such a squad until too late to put it in... now do we?

For flashlight squads just bring Infectious Fright.
For keys.. Uhh, hope the key rework happens as soon as possible lol

This thread feels several months too late. Moris ain't worth squat now. The only thing they're mildly useful for is playing around DS during death hook and playing around being rescued by another Survivor during death hook.

I mean they are somewhat decent, definitely better than nothing. Especially right now with people spamming breakdown saving a hook can be good.
Ignoring death hook DS is still pretty good, you can just hit the BT and they are usually screwed because they will bleed out if they try to locker DS you.
I still ran them often when 3-4 survivors had DS every game though I see DS a lot less now. It’s been replaced by unbreakable spam which is almost as annoying but not quite.

Well they CAN be devastating. You just have to play rattlesnake dirty, i.e. hook the first person... play just enough keep away that they go to 2nd Stage, allow the rescue and Mori off the hook reducing it to a 3v1 early. It is seriously mean, but it does work. I just get enough salt playing moderate that I don't need the aggravation. :)

I don't really count this whiole Breakdown situation, as that's just an answer to a pretty substantial bug. But beyond that, I'd rather just run cakes, BPS, or Hollow Shell to mitigate the bloodpoint loss.
That sounds like it gets easily rekt by gen rushing, so I don't agree that it's devastating.

Well I play a lot of killers who don’t really need addons so I prefer map offerings myself. Even just sending myself to Macmillan or autohaven is nice because it means less chance of rolling a complete BS map like the game, Haddo, Springwood, Coldwind, etc. I save my sacrificial wards for the SWFs because they love sending me to those maps.
I still buy moris sometimes but when 2 pop up in my bloodweb I’m not jumping for joy anymore.

im just saving them forever at this rate.
maybe at some point in time they can be something that isnt either extremely over- / underpowered so i can actually have a reason to use them...

I just dodge the keys and bring lightborn for a lobby full of flashlights.

It depends on how you do it. If you Face Camp, sure... you are asking to lose. But if you continue your normal pressure, with more short patrols you will invite the initial rescue, perhaps even two. And then you just do your normal thing but always pivot back to intercept the one going for the hook and they will break off to avoid farming. You can play a pretty good game of keep away and usually tie up two out of the unhooked three. Remember, I don't have to be good enough to get there, just dissuade the rescue until I want them to do it.
All I know is I tested it out six times in a row, against pretty good teams, and got the same result six times in a row. If you commit to the strategy of taking it to a 3v1 early game, and use the Mori to do it, you can make it happen. I wasn't a fan of how they changed the Mori because I think it leads to people either not using them at all, or using them rattlesnake dirty. I tested the theory, it worked for me. Once I knew it worked, I stopped doing it. I've run into the odd Killer using the tactic when I play Survivor too.

That just kinda sounds like playing the game to me.

It is just playing the game. You and I are in agreement there. And if I knew the level of my opponents in a reliable way I might bring it out more often. Sadly, I don't know when I'm play Tournament Level SWF, and it seems overkill to use it on Solos or normal teams. I don't have a moral problem with using it, more an aversion to the endless salt. :)

Moris are useless now. Not that I was using them before anyway, so I have plenty of ebony moris on every killer I play.
I wish we could sell useless add ons and offerings for some BP at least

another example of a player who cares way too much.

Why should anyone do this? Bc of flashlights?
It's THE worst item in the game. Making survivors running around, being literally non existing and even if the killer picks survivor up the most likely won't get the safe bc of the massive amount of counterplay to it.
So why? I'm running Franklins if all 4 survivors use an item like a medkit or a toolbox. Bc they can get out of hand but flashlights?
Dude. Don't be silly.

Why waste a mori? Equip lightborn, watch them fail and waste time. Its always beautiful to see

People still use Ebony mori's!?

I know, right? Like when I see secret offering I totally feel like:
Oh no! Not the offering that makes killer able to kill me on ground instead of hooking me when Im on deadhook anyway xD
Seriously, if you wanna play with strong things, moris are not the way to go anymore. Any BP offering is better than ebony mori

Absolute waste of time and bloodpoints buying them from the bloodweb.
Moris used to be a good way of dealing with a difficult SWF by taking one out early, now they're just a different animation.
If anything, killers need keys put in their bloodwebs, that way if you come across a painful game you can just escape through the hatch yourself...

I dodge keys and if I see flashlights I just use lightborn. Is 99% of the time a free hit/down.

I find it funny how people assume a player has lightborn on a killer or ignore the fact they brought in a flashlight and key combo intending to follow the key user all game fir a hatch
