Yeah this seems like more the exception than the rule. I feel like most players don't even actually know it is currently bugged and as such have no reason to equip it.

Wait, did only two people bring the perk and that not even combined with other perks to help this ‚strategy‘ (like Breakout, Saboteur, Unbreakable etc)? Or was it a full squad?

Because the Breakdown bug is only really useful with squads of 3 or 4, Solos trying to abuse it doesnt make much sense because you only get rid of 2 hooks and SWFs of 2 risk being facecamped as punishment and for them is harder to save than it is for squads of 3 or 4.
Its a bug that its only very concerning when encountered en mase or paired with less hooks offerings.

Well I never faced againts a group that is used nor a survivor that is using Breakdown as well. However I dont like the explanation of the BHVR for that saying that it is not bannable but it is a problem. They should said it should be bannable to avoid situations like that. If you say people that there is an exploit and it is not bannable, most of them will abuse it which is normal in online games. BHVR should change their statement and tell that it is bannable until fixed.

what's the problem with breakdown everyone is complaining about?? I have never used that perk before.

I have seen an overwhelming amount of posts from people playing killer though.

What even is the Breakdown bug? /gen
I've seen a lot of people complaining about it here, but haven't seen randos bring Breakdown in my matches, or seen any info about what's giving so many people issues with it right now.

its intention is that after you get unhooked, the hooks is broken and can’t be used for 3 min.
the Bug makes the hooks broken for the remainder of the trial. So if all 4 bring it and all get hooked/rescued twice there are 8 hooks less to use.
Coordinated SWF squads may abuse this and running other perks that further help like Savoteur, Breakout, No mither and other anti-slug and pro struggling stuff.
