Would it make sense for BHVR to do "part 2" chapters of licenses they've already done?

Somebody here brought up that there aren't that many classic horror things to license left. So how would it work out if they just released new chapters, using other aspects of the series they already licensed? There are plenty of other survivors from Silent Hill and Nightmare on Elm Street, plenty of both sides from SAW, I've never watched Stranger Things but it seems like there are a lot of characters, and 20 million guys, both killers and survivors, from Resident Evil.

It would make more sense to extend the current license than to get a continuity of the same license, it would be a waste of money to receive some of the same content that many must already have. As if the owner of the license allows it, for reasons like that we do not have a legendary appearance of Robert Englund in Dead by Daylight or Sally the survivor of the first installment of Leatherface or Detective Mathews or Straham from Saw.

I meant more in terms of releasing content than the legal aspect of it. Like a Silent Hill 2: Electric Boogaloo with James Whatshisname and the generic monster.

Could probably work, i don't see why they'd put a limit on 1 Killer, 2 Survivors max. (Stranger Things chapter) per license.

I think it would be cool if they did something like this for Stranger Things, applying the idea of giving one character legendary sets that represent other characters. I'd like a Robyn skin for Nancy and a Jonathan skin for Steve, kind of like what they did for Cheryl.

I doubt they'll do it anytime soon but I'd love it. Still waiting for a L4D infected as a killer.

    Introducing: The generic zombie.

His power? He walks towards you and hits you.

Coming this fall in the 2sp00ky4u™ chapter.

    Huh?

It would obviously be one of the 8 special infected not a common one. Who the hell would want a common.

Wow, you mean a zombie but with more zombie parts?

Sarcasm aside, all of the zombie power niches are filled. Plague already spits on you, demo already pretty much bites you, and trickster already swings his arms around like an idiot.

Maybe the Hunter with his pounce and pin down ability could work and it would be something unique.

No idea how to balance that tho.

I would love to see a second Silent Hill chapter, there are more monsters that could fit.

Left4Dead, Silent Hill, Resident Evil and probably Saw all have enough killer options to warrant a second chapter.

Stranger Things can work with Legendary skins for survivors.

the others are pretty much complete I think?

maybe only do paragraphs for the licenses that already got a chapter?

I'd be sick if you could bounce around walls while jumping in order to gain more height and power like he does in L4D but sadly it wouldn't work in DBD. No flying or pseudo flying killers allowed.

Another problem would be what happens when you pin down a survivor, as in L4D once you get caught by a Hunter you can't free yourself and you die if noone saves you. It would certainly be too OP in here and would compeltely ignore the whole hook mechanics.

The Tank would be cool if you'd be able to throw around map parts like he does in L4D by punching whole cars and containers around. But sadly you can't interact that much with things around you in DBD's maps.

My point is that some of them have very unique powers that are not in the game as of now, and they wouldn't be the typical "zombie runs towards you and injures you" like you seem to believe. But sadly they would require too much work and mechanics that most likely will never exist in this game.

But who knows, BHVR really is creative and could come up with some solutions. After all, PH has powers that were never shown in Silent hill 2, where all he does is walk around trying to poke you with his spear or chop you with the great sword. The PH power we have now is all from BHVR's creativity.
