Rename The Blight To 'The Butter'
It did not help that I was facing a 4-man SWF using all meta perks & flashlights, and they burned to go to Lampkin Lane, but my first match as The Blight saw me sliding off 90% of the objects I tried to bump into.
That car? Slide off.
That railing? Slide off.
That tree? Whoops! Someone put oil on it! Slide off.
The trash can? Nope! Slide off.
The sliding, plus a depip squad, really just made me hate my first match as Blight. On yeah, and it was a rank 3 slumming with his rank 13 buddies to further pick on Killers.
I basically gave up and opened an exit gate. Because trying to learn a new killer while a depip squad and their rank 3 smurfer buddy try to make the match as horrible as possible is pure salt.

Yeah it’s super frustrating. I thought they fixed that last chapter but it has not gotten better.

You trusted them to actually fix it, when they said they are fixing it ?

I was just hoping and praying that it could happen but it didn’t because BHVR

Amen, i was just hoping and praying that they don't ######### it up even more.

And my second match was more meta perks. And a rank 9. I'm rank 15, using a level 5 Killer.
Really great way to try learning a hard killer; by going up again 4 survivors running full meta every time AND being matched with people 6+ ranks better than me.

Yeah this stuff really sucks, about the "using a level 5 Killer" thats one of my reasons why i always stock up on BP before a chapter hits and instantly level the new Killer until i have all Perks. Also with some background knowing which add-ons are good from the PTB and wiki.

I tend to understand most killers pretty much instantly, but i do spend quite some time in this stuff.

The thing is its also pretty bad if you are late to the party, if you play a new killer the counters from survivors arent there yet.

You basically have quite the rocky road to learning blight like that.

Only thing i can advise is, getting a ton of bloodpoints from Killers that you have fully kitted and pump them in Blight, with the background of what is good on him.

For example if you have something like
Tinkerer, BBQ, Ruin, Undying or Pop, Corrupt, BBQ, Save the Best for Last or something similar you have way more freedom and its not such a pain.

It's just frustrating to go into a match with 1 or 2 perk slots unlocked, level 1 perks, and the game goes 'Here's 4 survivors with full-meta level 3 perks!' and on top of that, the utter horrible MM goes 'And you're rank 15? Here's rank 4's!'
At that point, you're not only losing by skill level due to the matchmaking (More like unmatchmaking) but just the sheer difference in perks. You could be a rank 5 going against rank 18's; if you had 2 level 1 perks, and they had full-meta kits and a passing knowledge of how to use them; you lose.

so heres the best tip that i can give you for playing blight, (disclaimer, i am not a blight main nor do i J-flick but i've been picking him up and learning him for the past 4 months now.) use your power to patrol or to catch up to the survivor. not at loops unless your confident that you can get the hit.
Theres too much room for big errors to use his power at a loop so take advantage of his size and mind game instead until they flee the loop or drop the pallet then charge at em for a quick hit when they are in the open.

Thanks, yeah. I've learned that alert survivors will just jack-knife 180 degrees and avoid a Lethal Rush. Same as dodging a Billy, really.

I cannot make brioches with that slimy creature. Oh, wait...

That's interesting, the first time I ever tried the Blight was also on Haddonfield, and I had no idea what I was doing wrong or what I was supposed to do better. I would be chasing someone and execute his power then SLiiiiiiiiiiiIP! Slip and Slide! If his power is supposed to be bouncing against everything that he hits and ricocheting into the survivor (which is one of the strangest powers I've ever heard of to begin with), it did not work.

Wow your post name made me laugh lmao. Yeah its worse tbh. But what if the blight isn't covered in pestula serum but grease and butter. They need to patch this immediately but seeing how long it takes them to fix the breakdown bug itll take till next year. So in the mean time enjoy your blight with a side of butter.

For April 1st next year, The Blight should get an outfit that covers him in pancakes, butter, and maple syrup. :D

His weapon is just gonna be a pancake spatula lol.

Really I barely have issues with it its baised on his momentum so if your Going one way and turn quickly you may slide off that's most of the time I slide off
