I’m excited for the new lucky break buff (another reason)
I’m excited for the lucky break buff because there might be a chance that spies from the shadows is used more often. Spies is an underrated tracking perk & hopefully & it’ll get more love when mid chapter comes out.
:D :D :D :D :D

I doubt that Killers will use Spies from the Shadows. They are too attached to their Slowdown-Perks, sadly.

There’s my hopes of such things, & there’s the reality of the situation.

I like Spies from the Shadows tbh, I just never seem to find a slot for it. If it goes through then I will defo try it out.
If people run Calm Spirit tho I will literally cry

Only thing good about the Lucky Break buff is that it’s a Yui perk

Spies only shine in indoor map as it's really hard to see bird flying behind a wall. Personally I never seem to notice crows on indoor map because there's so much stuff already.

If only there was a reason why killers are running slow down perks... I guess we'll never know.
8 -
Yeah, mostly because they are bad. At least when they are running multiple Slowdown-Perks.
But its funny, they complain that tracking might be difficult with new Lucky Break, but they dont want to adapt by adding more Tracking Perks. Because stacking Slowdown-Perks makes the game way easier for them.
3 -
Yes killers with multiple slowdowns are bad but survivors with 4x second chance perks are good players :eyeroll:
If lucky break ends up being spammed I’ll probably play some broken addon legion / Bubba for a while and enjoy a good lols at the totally wasted slot.

Calm spirit iron will lucky break quick quite meta incoming

Or, more accurately, killers would just use a better tracking perk.

I mean, there is no good tracking perk to help against new LB.

Well considering spies is the only one that will work against lucky break, which in itself can be negated by calm spirit, a lot of people are just gonna feel like there's no point in taking them. Its a little bit arrogant to claim that any killer who uses multiple slowdowns is bad. On spirit, nurse and blight sure but surely anyone who has played plenty of killer will get why they get used as much as they do, even if they can be a pain to face as a solo survivor.

You must forgot about DS. 3 years to nerf

Stridor? You can still hear footsteps and groans of pain. There are a few broken effects to negate the perk. One shot killers, already very prevalent in the meta, will ignore it.
I believe the best counter will be broken saw Bubba since he does the one shot then once they get rescued the entire perk is wasted on the broken effect.
Other killers will suffer greatly until the inevitable nerf.

IMO the only good Perks for Survivors are either Second Chance Perks or Perks which help to complete the Objective faster. Killers on the other hand have Tracking-, Slowdown- and Chase-Perks which they can use. But most Killers decide just to stack multiple Slowdown-Perks, because it is the easiest to play this game as Killer.
I dont think that there is any better Tracking Perk for close-range Tracking (which would be the case for Lucky Break). Maybe Stridor, because Survivors who run Lucky Break will run Iron Will as well.
But from my experience, it did not really work to disappear on the PTB, however, I am not good at stealthing around and all games were on Coldwind Farm, which might be "a little bit" too bright to try to lose the Killer. But if Lucky Break is actually used and changes the Meta a bit, the Devs did a good thing IMO.
(Remember, many people complain that all Survivors use the same Perks, but if the Devs buff another Perk which might be used, this is also not right)
Stridor could be a working Perk as well, since most players who run Lucky Break will run Iron Will as well. But regarding Slowdown-Perks, from my experience, Killers who used more than one Slowdown-Perk are worse than those who used one or less Slowdown-Perks. Killers who dont rely that much on Slowdown-Perks are usually also more scary, because they are more confident in their abilities and will probably more likely be able to catch the Survivors in a fast(er) amount of time.

just run Calm spirit.

This wouldn’t be nearly the first time the developers have ignored feedback and tried to push out crap.
Tell you for sure, if they do release 4.7.0PTB Lucky Break, things will go south for the game really quick. Survivors will be kissing their lobbies sweet bye bye for a long time even after Lucky Break gets reverted, because Killers don’t want to have to deal with invisible survivors running LB, Iron Will and whatever else they want.
Going through with this buff will be even worse than releasing DS and MoM without prior testing and then ignoring the problem for an unnecessary long time. Releasing the buffed LB will prove that BHVR don’t give a red, blue, one, or two damns in hell about what people more educated about their game have to say. Even their Fog Whisperers. And it will be a black mark on the rest of the game’s and studio’s life.
Spies From The Shadows won’t be used to “counter” Lucky Break. At all. And it won’t just be because no Killers will be playing the game anymore. A detection perk on a five-second cooldown (it was nerfed and the devs said it was to “mitigate notification spam”) won’t be enough to detect Survivors who will be running Calm Spirit to compensate as well.

hmm I forgot about Stridor, I could see that becoming more meta, be interesting to see if we'll get killers other than Spirit run it now. I do agree that bad or inexperienced killers rely too much on Slowdowns, but I find that good killers who don't run any or just one can still get absolutely destroyed even if they played perfectly just because the map RNG was not in their favour or they simply did not have the tools to apply enough pressure in time, which then leads them to go "screw it, I'm gonna take ruin, corrupt, pop and undying".
I personally just shrug it off and see if the next game will treat me better but it's understandable why the killer meta revolves around these perks rather than tracking or any others, as much as I do get bored of going against the same thing at high ranks. Same thing can be said for survivors who run second chance perks, sure bad survivors rely on them but it can be also that they got camped/tunnelled last game or have had loads of really bad team mates and end up dying regardless of how well they played so they just think "screw it, im taking dead hard, unbreakable, decisive and borrowed time"

Buff one perk to broken status to justify the use of a weak perk

I'm more excited to see what the devs do when their reviews tank (after being super high due to all-kill) just before the new Tome and new L4D/RE/Stranger Things collaborations.

As a new killer playing on Xbox X I’m definitely not looking forward to the new lucky break. It’s hard enough to track survivors as it is because the game is so incredibly dark and there are no options to alleviate this. But aye Spies is actually highly underrated and on some maps it’s right up there with the best tracking perks in the game imho.

Yes, they actually are bad. Talking about the killers though.

I think the LB duration should be reduced to maybe 40 seconds and that's on tier 3 idk what the duration is on tiers 1 and 2.
