Tombstone Myers Killed survivor after they escaped.
So just a server thing? during the kill animation, she went fully invisible and I really thought she had escaped and was I just stuck in the animation, but it looks like I actually got her? I just went for it as they were leaving, does tombstone take priority if it really close? Don't usually play Myers, does this happen?

No, he got her. I used to take the Tombstone Piece all the time just to play a prank on people who wait at the gate to tea-bag. Once the animation has started, it means you were nailed BEFORE you got out. The Tombstone Piece only requires a hit at a certain range and most people get hit as the fall/step out. Thus, the second the hit happened, she was dead.
Remember the Mori just makes it look like a grab. The Survivor truly died the second the basic attack hit at close range. The Animation is just playing out and sometimes the ping of the two Servers creates some dissonance.
