Survivor spawns right on top of my Ruin totem
I played as slow poke Huntress and had Ruin. This Ace spawned right on top of my totem and cleansed it before I can even physically get there. This should never happen, survivors should never spawn that close to any hex totem ever.

Hex perks are not worth taking anymore. They'll be gone in the first 2 minutes. Total waste of a perk slot.

I would of used undying if it didn’t get nerfed but honestly it will still go away in a blink of an eye either way if you used it now, totem spawns need a big buff or rework.

Survivors wonder why killer's were very upset when Undying got gutted.

Those are random situation and very rare it happens

It’s still frustrating. Guess I should’ve just played better.

I hope that wasnt me. I play ace and i got two instacleans last week. They should really rework all totem spots bc sometimes you walk 5m and you see it. Imo they should just spawn all 4 survivor together to make it easier to avoid this.

Ofc it is but even if they don't spawn near them I know hex perk is gone in second so instead ruin I use pop or corrupt because I can control those perks however ruin I can't my whole perk slot is in hands of survs so nope I suggest u do the same don't waste perk slot on hex perks

That's happened to me plenty of times so I know your frustration. Sucks to sacrifice a perk slot for something that's gone 30 seconds into the game. Wish you could block them at the beginning like corrupt or you could maybe run TOTH. But even I find that perk to be a waste.

There is a totem spawn on the corner of Hawkins where you can spawn and literally not even need to move to start cleansing a totem. Beyond that I've never spawned with eyes on a totem.

I was playing Huntress who’s a very slow killer so even TOTH would be questionable.

This happens quite frequently with me also. It's not even a rare occurrence either. I'll spawn in and in about 10-20 seconds later it's gone. Totem spots really need to be looked at or a mechanic where the totem won't show up until an x amount of time to prevent it from being cleansed automatically.

Should have used TOTH, smh...
Just kidding, of course. Totem Spawns are so bad that I don't even use Hex perks anymore. Except Devour Bubba, because that build is nice.

How was Undying “gutted”? Just because you can’t literally see Survivors cleansing the totem? If that’s so much of an issue put on Thrill Of The Hunt, and there you go.

People couldn't sacrifice one perk slot for detective's or bring a map like I did. I honestly enjoyed looking for totems. Really sucks that it got gutted.

That a normal totem thing

It used to be if you cleansed ruin it jumped to another dull totem. Then another, then another, then another. You had to cleanse Undying to get rid of ruin or you had to cleanse 4 totems. It was some much needed map pressure because A LOT of killers lack mobility or powers that help them in chases.
It took them 3 months to nerf Undying. DS took 4 years.

And you people think having a single perk that negates the entire downside of a subset of Killer perks - of which one is a meta pick - was a good thing?
I get that Ruin being cleansed at the match start is annoying but making it effectively last the entire match isn’t a good thing.

Btw, totem spawns were better before the Undying nerf. The devs moved the hidden spots to be more out in the open.
Imagine the outcry from survivors if one of their perks was useless within the first 30 seconds of a match...

Hex perks need some love overall.
Even the best ones are hardly worth running.
Id say make cleansing longer, increase number of totems some, then make hexs active on 2 totems (when one is cleaned its half strength)

Honestly, to a point I agree that survivors shouldn't spawn so close to the totem. If anything it should spawn near the killer or something but there are also matches where I've spawned away from all other survivors, kinda close to killers... seen where they come from and I could just go there and see if they have a totem in the area. The maps are only so big. There's only a certain amount of places it could be.
But also, it's your own fault for taking a chance perk like that. Don't rely on something that could be destroyed seconds into the match... There are 5 totem spawns, the hex spawns randomly on one. There are totems usually close to where a survivor spawns. YOU took the chance and failed with it that round.
Do you need it? Probably not because you could use pop or something else to slow progression/better regression. Do you feel it helps with your build and playstyle? Well, it seems so but don't expect it to work every single time.

If gen speeds were adjusted or all killers were made viable we wouldn't have to run slow down perks. If the survivors decide to rush gens, they will get done and unless your a meta killer there isn't much you can do about it. Lets also not forget ruin was gutted too. It used to actually slow down gens being worked on. Now it only works if the killer can push you off a gen. Even with ruin+old undying you could still finish gens if the killer wasn't able to apply pressure. But the devs keep balancing the game around rank 20 survivors so they destroyed the perk.
