Why do people think Object of obsession is OP?
That perk is trash. Especially as the body counts begin to dwindle. As you become the last survivor that perk is horrible. If anything the new perk is better for survivors because they can hide properly now, without you knowing their position and the bonus in speed progression. But my point is the perk is overrated.

It seems you misunderstood why the perk is broken.
Solo it's suicide. It's in a team when the perk becomes broken. You know who the killer is at the start, what they're doing and where they are at all times. That is an absolute nightmare when you're playing killer, especially when the team is coordinated enough to even make call outs mid-chase.
Even if you look past that, it's a terribly designed perk. Either the survivor starts a chase miles away or the killer has no problem finding and eventually killing you.

You don't consider having wall hacks and being able to communicate the killer's whereabouts at all times to your friends OP? Killers like Trapper and Hag suffer the most since their power relies on trap placement, and if you have someone with OoO who are communicating with their friends, it renders their power mostly useless. If you're a good looper it doesn't matter if the killer can see your aura if you can manage to waste all of the killer's time in a chase, which let's face it, a good portion of killers would want to tunnel the OoO user out of the match.

I don't think you have played against 4 objects on midwich... Oh god flashbacks

I don't tunnel objection of obsession users, I will go to them first and try to take them out. And If I can I will. But it's not wall hacks since they can't see you close, unless it's freedy or if you keep victor on you, you can see charlotte. But the perk is useless on stealth killers so that counters trap users. And even on teams most people don't know were they are putting their traps.

Not going to lie, I used OoO solo on midwich. It's pretty fun.

As mentioned above, OoO is really mostly used by sweaty SWFs and anyone playing against them will most likely have a miserable game due to them constantly calling everything you do to their teammates, which is terrible for Hag and Trapper since they know where your traps are, and is still very annoying to deal with as other killers. It's even worse when you play a killer with a smaller terror radius because it actually benefits them even more thanks to how the perk works.
And it might just be me but almost all the time when a team has OoO they're also pretty toxic and will go out of their way to be annoying. So overall not pleasant to play against at all.

Object on Midwich literally takes no skill though too. I went against a 4 man with 4 objects on Midwich before, and I was playing huntress. I could never literally catch up to any of them. I couldn't even do any cross map snipes either. They knew I couldn't get them. So they just kept teabagging. At that point I just afk'd in a corner that was the only time I've literally ever afk'd in a corner.

OoO is garbage in solo or 2 SWF. When I see someone using it as killer, I generally laugh, because people that run OoO often spend their whole time begging for your attention, hopping through vaults, and tossing pallets when you ignore them and go after their teammates. It literally makes it so that only 3 people do gens, and their perks are always chase-centric, so you basically just take care of their more-threatening teammates first.
I only go after them if they focus gens or are on my way to someone else. Ya know, like stopping off for a tasty drink on your way home, but only if it's convenient and things aren't too busy.
However, if I'm dealing with 3-4 SWF that changes things, and I need to remove the OoO person quickly because they will give out my position constantly. This is probably what most people say is OP.
EDIT:
Wanted to emphasize that this isn't so much a problem with OoO as it is a problem with SWF, because SWF can easily abuse things that are balanced for solo play.

No the change is necessary it'll be less abusable by SWF and more viable for solo a great change.

Good point. It definitely will be great for solo now. Since the killer can't see you the whole time.

Becausw the survivor has full control over when to use it and the information it gives is insane. Everyone that thinks it's bad in solo que honestly sucks at using it. You always know where the killer is, so you just don't look their way and you won't get revealed. When you need more details, you glance over, and the info is completely worthless for the killer but literally game-breakkng for you, especially against a Hag or Trapper. At worst, the killer hard tunnels you and you die as everyone else escapes.
And that's not even trying to broach the SWF issue.

Yeah unless you become the last person alive. Then it's not great for you hahah.

And?

It'll have more purposes beyond large map suffering.

Object is great in solo if you know how to use it and can run killers well. Pair it with Sprint Burst and it’s disgusting. It’s even more busted in SWF since you can share your info with your team. If your solo teammates are bad it won’t save you, but no perk will do that.
