Matchmaking broken again?
All night it's been Rank 10-12 killers when we had a full SWF of Purple/Red Ranks. Our 4th had to go and our very next match we get paired with a fresh Rank 20?
Anyone else having a similar experience.

I can't remember a time when matchmaking wasn't broken.
That said, rank 9-10 killer tonight and it's been solid purples and reds. I've seen maybe three green ranked survivors in the entire lineup of games tonight.

It was fixed?

Matchmaking was never fixed in the first place for it to be broken again.
Yes, i also still occasionally get matched with players who are not close to my rank at all on both sides.

Yeah my swf of red ranks has been getting yellow ranked killers tonight.

Problem is its been like this all night. Haven't had a single purple or red rank and we're just stomping killers left and right.

I feel you, compadre!

Similar experience? Yes but as a killer lol. Ever since I got rank 13 I have been exclusively paired with mix of purple and red survivors. Only advice I ve been given was "git gud"
So yea, nothing strange about it

I probably sound like a broken record. But the reason behind this is the general lack of killers.

Yep, nobody plays killer at night time pretty much. So I gotta go in and clean up the mess...

no killers, and then survivor queues get crazy long at night. that's why at night I get matched with all red ranks as a rank 10.

That is true but that is why there are not many killers now because of the red ranks and SWF. or just unfair when playing, i just think they need to add something better into the matchmaking making it so players get put with the same skill level.

Then survivors would have even longer queues than they already have now.

Matchmaking has been completely fine for me as a red rank survivor lately. The lowest teammate/killer I’ve had is like rank 7.

Hey if I could give you the Rank 1 Nurse that kicked my ######### in sideways last night I would.

Matchmaking can only do so much when there aren't enough players to match you with.
If there's 40 red rank survivors queuing and only 5 red rank killers, then 5 lower rank killers are going to go up against red rank survivors.

Just bc im interested: How long do you need to wait for a match normally and how long was it last night? And what is your escape quota normally and what was it last night?

From my experience, something like this happens mostly when Console players are involved (from a PC-perspective).
I guess those wait for a really long time and then the Matchmaker throws something together. Most of the time it is alright in my opinion, most games end up with my SWF-mate and myself (both Rank 1) and two low (yellow at best) Rank Console-players, against a Killer around Rank 8-12. Which means that they can capitalize on two weak players.
Seeing that there was a console player involved confirms my suspicion that this is something happening with Crossplay.

Trust me they will no matter what because more killers are playing less because of the bull crap matchmaking.

Queue times were like 5-10 minutes; not too bad. Was chatting with friends so I wasn't really paying attention. Escaping is usually 1 of 3 matches for me, but last night we 4 man escaped every match but 1 which was a 2/4 escape. With most matches only had 2-6 hooks.

This problem started a year ago. Red rank survivors started to have long queues. So the matchmaking widened its search and matched them with lower ranks. Those lower rank killers either depiped more or stopped playing. Making killers more scarce. Now we reached the point were its almost normal when red rank survivors get matched against rank 17 killers.
It gets called fair, because there are also some lower rank survivors in the team. But its overall a horrible experience for new killers.

+ Levelling a killer to the point where you have good perks takes ages. Want to try a different killer? Gotta grind out the perks all over again.
Meanwhile you go up against Survivors who have more experience AND better perks than you.

Thats normal. I stopped playing killer. The game is in my opinion survivor sided anyway (i am a survivor main, and i escape a lot ^^), and then getting paired above your skill level time and again is just not worth it.

Because nobody or very few people want to play killers?

Why should you want to play killer if you never get survivors of your rank?
