Well needed nerf for his add-ons, but they could have made them better than they did

That what every killer main says enjoy the queues, but they never change the queue times are always the same and are only affected by what time of the day it is

I never got the hate for the slowdown addons. Even if you stacked Jump Rope and Swing Chains, with all survivors asleep, the slowdown is still less than level 1 thanatophobia.

The add-ons were hit hard, I was hoping for some fun to use add-ons, but we got boring noise add-ons that will probably not work most of the time because of all the sound bugs.
Also there aren't enough Freddy mains to make queues longer, and if you just stop playing him because of slow down add-ons that's kinda sad.

Stop thinking Freddy is a God killer when He isn't..
He's still a basic 115% m1 Killer with the Reach of a Cast Iron Pan..
There's other killers that out-shine Freddy.

Ah yes, because 90% of killers played Freddy and there are absolutely no other killers to play.
I'm actually going to enjoy encountering Freddy players now, at least they dont rely on their addons to slow down the game while they do jack ######### and just tunnelvision on survivors with no real punishment while spamming m2 all game. At least Freddies have to use their brain now to use his power properly.

I understand that the slowdown addons had to go but their replacements seem pretty mediocre overall. Like an addon that makes gen repairing louder? Sure, I mean it's not bad but not particularly worth going out of my way to use. Louder footsteps? That's nice too but it's not exactly very exciting stuff and doesn't really change up your playstyle. Black box? I don't know what the hell was the logic behind that one, an addon that nobody complained about got changed into an extremely situational addon that has a single one-time use at the very end of the game but only if survivors meet the condition of being asleep and that you're close enough to make use of the window of 15 whole seconds. This is all assuming you don't just kill everyone before they open the generators either. I don't get it.

I still don't think Freddy needed to be nerfed despite me hating him. The addon changes weren't needed. People just needed to learn to adapt to the slowdown addons is all. His kill rate was so high to begin with because people don't know how to counter him.

So what if his slowdown addons got reworked? You don't need them to do good with Freddy, he's one of the least addon-dependend killers we have. His kit alone is strong enough to perform well even without perks and addons. I regularly play him with gimmicky builds and addons.
And now we have some more gimmicky stuff, so what? DId you bother to try them out at all? I have, and I find the increased sound very neat, esp the footsteps. I'll repeat, since Freddy's kit is so strong, you do not need to take impactful addons with you, and can choose some niche ones. With perks as well. E.g. you can take the dresses together with a build around Opression / Overcharge / Huntress Lullaby, to bait them to get out of dream by failing the skillcheck. Which then gets heavily punished by all the stacked regression. Or try a build around Dead Mans Switch, where Freddy is like the only killer able to get repeated value out of it, just by faking teleports.
The only addon I'm really missing is the iridescent one, which held the obsession in dream world no matter what. That one worked really well with a really nasty build: Nemesis+FurtiveChase+MakeYourChoice. When the obession got unhooked, it would switch to the unhooker (FurtiveChase), making them fall to sleep imidiately (Addon) and making them exposed (make your choice). You would see them (Nemesis) and could use snares against them right away, since they would be sleeping.

Survivors are not mindlessly holding W tho, they are pathfinding to resources and then have to decide if they should use it now or save it for later.
Placing traps down without any negative consequences while never breaking any pallets is literally bruteforcing.
Sure, there is an issue on some maps where survivors can constantly drop pallets the moment they arrive to permanently gain distance, but on the majority of maps, the sooner a pallet is dropped, the more value the killer gains later in the game. Freddy being able to never break pallets because of his traps never slowing him down in any way, shape or form, while also having a small hitbox but still being a 115% killer gave him easy mindless hits while building up Bloodlust inbetween.
It was possible for Freddy to get a down on a killer shack with a dropped pallet. How is that not brainless? Any other killer is meant to play to drop that pallet as soon as possible or otherwise get a hit out of it, then break that pallet to forever remove it. Killers being able to ignore dropped pallets are an issue.

I didnt mention double teleport addons, I mentioned double gen slowdonw addons. And yes, he has more than just that, but it was never used, because of the vast majority of Freddy players just going for the cheese route.

he did need to be changed. The argument that you just need to learn to counter him doesn’t stand when after YEARS of him people still don’t get how to play against him. If there’s no appetite to play against him for whatever the reason is then the killer needs some sort of change.
His slow downs were just irritating and they were always combined with thanat and tinkerer 99% if the time so it’s not insignificant when stacked and when you can literally teleport to a gen directly when tinkerer procs and hit it with pop or ruin before they can ever get finished.
His Arsenal just had overkill. They should have just nerfed his teleport instead so he has to commit or add more seconds before he can use it again. But it’s a bit ridiculous having anti-loop, gen slow down and the ability to directly teleport to the only real objectives the survivors have. Demo has to be strategic with his portals. Clown only has anti loop. Every other killer has 1 main ability whereas Freddy seemed to have a bit of everything.

You didnt read, I literally added that scenario later on. And guess what? Most maps no longer allow that kind of gameplay without a severe lack of resources for later survivors.
The only new map that does is The Game, and the more pallets gone in The Game, the easier it is to get downs.

There is only 2 killers viable against SWF at red ranks spirit and nurse.
Freddy was a close third.
Now he's dropped down to B+ tier.

He wasn't even A tier to begin with. He has so many counters. It's just mainly the players faults for not adapting on how to counter him. A moderately decent swf or good solo's can rip apart a freddy with no thought process.

Well pretty much yea... He is so easy to beat. Doesn't help that players just acted like he was so op when he never even was to begin with. I play solo, and have gone against freddy's who we just absolutely destroyed, because we all knew how to counter him.

We only lose bad Freddy players. Not much of a loss tbh. Even his base-kit nerf is literally nothing. Anyone that could competently play him without relying on Forever Freddy will be fine.

Yeah all killers will quit the game, including those who didn't play freddy, because fedora man got his slowdown addons removed. DS and object getting gutted means nothing now. Corn changes = meaningless without muh swing chains

I don't think his add on changes are gonna make queue times any longer lol especially when there are other killers to play. But I will say I think that one endgame addon which blocks gates for 15 seconds is useless. Could've made it a common one instead.

You know you can throw knives through the windows, right? Use your power. If you can’t hit your knives for some reason you can still mindgame as a 110% killer, it’s not ideal but L/T walls are one of the most fair tiles, they’re far from an infinite.
I mean this as respectfully as possible, but you really need to work on your killer gameplay before you externalise blame for your losses on other things.

As a pallet only Freddy I'm mostly just sad they reduced the number of pallets and made dream state easier to stay out of for longer :(

"There is only 2 killers viable against SWF at red ranks spirit and nurse." Only if you're a boosted killer. I can consistently play against red rank survivors as Pig, Myers, Trapper, Clown, Doctor, Wraith, Ghostface, Legion and PH(I could also do it with Spirit and Freddy, but they are boring).
I think you mean "there is only 2 killers viable against tournament squads". In which case, so what? You rarely play in tournaments anyway, and being only able to play 5-6ish killers in a tournament(you can play Doc, Freddy and Blight with ease, on most maps even Huntress and Twins). So either way, you're wrong.

I'll always try to give people benefit of the doubt but that was honestly cringeworthy to watch. For a start, I'm still trying to figure out what the Ash did that was so bad enough to warrant the BM. Would have been so much better off just hooking in the first place (even if it was only to get some extra bloodpoints). Also, appreciate I'm getting on a bit age wise but I cannot see any kind of regression perk or decent addon setup for dealing with a potential 4 man (disregarding the lack of perks on their side). Sure, it's survivor sided map and the LoS blockers make it difficult for Myers but there's a lot more the killer could have done decision wise to even the odds.

The reasoning they gave for pools being nerfed makes NO sense for pallets. There was no reason at all to nerf his number of pallets.
