Bhvr don't understand how to nerf a character

That's probably the thought when they plan to nerf something.

The twins and Freddy got nerfed and well...Bhvr again didn't understand what has to be changed and just reduced the power a little bit.

Twins slug and camp stratagie was too strong, Bhvr: Yeah uh... Victor gets extra 2 seconds stunded

Freddy needs so skill and is annoying, bhvr: Yeah uhhhhhh let's reduse the annoying power A liitle bit and don't change it.

    Freddy got a HUGE nerf and if you don't think so you really don't know what made him strong.

    They nerf Freddy and yet they failed to nerf the Spirit.

    Instead, the Twins were nerfed as if they weren't underperforming enough.

    He really didn't though. You just can't spam snares anymore. I'm a killer main with almost 2k hours. Freddy nerf didn't really change much.

    Snares wasn`t what made him a strong killer. Stacking slow-down add-ons and perks was what made him go well against SoloQ since the lack of coordination (and since most players don`t know that spreading and genuinely gen rushing was a hard counter the slow-down freddy).

    Snares was just a "clown" with less steps, the gameplay stays the same, pre drop pallets and try to connect loops.

    Snares is part of the reason he is strong which is why dream pallets are a meme. Snares were just a better version of clowns power but he also has a gen teleport and the sleep/terror radius shenanigans. That's the point i'm making though. It doesn't change anything, hes slower when placing snares so you can't spam them, but the gameplay is still the same. get to a pallet, put a snare on one side, double back to the other, place a snare, then they run into one of them and you get a hit. Or, they predrop the pallet and many of them you can still do the same thing but just weaker.


    The slowdown while placing snares and reduction in snare count, does nothing to change this gameplay. The fact that they even nerfed him at all is stupid, especially given that, at high level play, only nurse and MAYBE spirit are viable killers.


    The fact that almo said on stream that they don't know why freddy is strong but just that the data shows that he is, and that he thinks dream pallets are stronger then snares tells me that they don't know what they are doing.

    Like I said freddy's addons and perks like ruin, tinkerer, pop is what really made him strong I really hate how they just nerfed him like that.

    spirit is diffrent because she only has one power and that is invisible speed they most likely dont understand how her power rocks either that they will change charge speed and they favour free killers over dlc wons so her nerf will probaly be little

    I mean, they did a fairly good job on Freddy in my opinion. The slowdown addons are gone, which is great, and survivors getting a 30 second immunity to entering the dream world when waking up via the clock is also great. Perhaps the nerfs to his snares missed the point a bit, but I can't judge that yet.

    The Twins nerf was bad though, I agree with that. Although I like the buffs to the iridescent addons.

    I don't think BHVR is as bad at making good balance decisions as some people might think, but I do think that BHVR doesn't always understand what exactly makes a certain killer problematic or too weak. But it does depend, as they have also made a lot of good changes to killers as well.
