Shadow nerfing killers is very dishonest, BHVR.
Twins got a shadow nerf. Charlotte no longer has collision when controlling victor.
The fact this wasn't announced in the changelog really pisses me off.
If you're going to nerf killers then announce it. shadow nerfing killers needs to stop

Damn that’s actually pretty bad. That ruins her play at shack and other tiles.
Rip twins and their 2 mains

You know,it could also be a bug?
It's not unlikely 👁👁

This. It's most likely a bug and you should report it as such
6 -
Could be a bug seeing as the collision is intended to be removed after being idle for 30 seconds.
3 -
That was never a feature either.
shadow nerf
1 -
Kind of hard to believe a bug on a Killer is not an intentional unmarked nerf based on BHVR’s track record.
2 -
I can't even remember the last time they genuinely shadow nerfed a killer.
I don't even know if they ever did that.
1 -
its not its even in dbd wiki

The only time that's ever happened was the blanket nerf to audio, when they made chase music override footsteps. It took them months to own up to it in a 4th year loading screen.

Not to play devils advocate, but I seem to recall a dev mentioning the change as being intentional during the PTB. I could be entirely wrong, and I have no proof nor source, but some kind of memory is bouncing around in my head about a dev stating it being explicitly intended during the PTB.

The wiki isn't official.
We have to assume that it's a bug if it isn't mentioned in the official patch notes

But why remove collision at all? That just makes it inconsistent. Is she a killer, who can block survivors, or is she not?

Pyramid Head's ranged attack going slower, multiple killer powers consuming PWYF stacks when they previously did not, and probably more examples I am not familiar with.
They've stealth-nerfed killers before and they likely will again.

Pyramid Head's ranged attack going slower,
What do you mean by that?
multiple killer powers consuming PWYF stacks when they previously did not,
That feels rather like a fix than a nerf.PWYF tokens are supposed to get consumed by offensive actions, which most killer powers are.

glad she can’t body block the basement then :)
2 -
that was never possible to begin with

I'm almost sure that it's a shadow nerf that prevents her from bodyblocking areas like the basement of Coldwind and the 3rd staircase of Midwich. It's unfortunate because I don't think there was any other way to fix her ability to trap survivors other than to fix the maps, but this nerf is still really bad for her.

definitely was. I watched two people get body blocked by a Charlotte in the basement during endgame collapse, all she had to do was stand there and not hit anyone and she wins. cant say something wasn’t possible just cause you didn’t try it before the shadow nerf lmao
1 -
charlotte isn't that fat to block a whole basement
1 -
never mind, forgot ur just a bait poster.
1 -
if charlotte can body block a basement then every killer can body block a basement.
0 -
Not every Killer can body block 1 surv and have the ability to chase others.
1 -
only other killer that could block basement was trapper, then they literally made the entrance to basement wider so survivors could go around him. Charlotte is just bigger than him lmao

The speed at which his projectile travels along the ground was made slower in the patch that nerfed his speed while putting his sword in the ground. I played enough of PH to notice the difference after the fact.
Nerfing a killer perk nerfs all killers to different degrees depending on how well the killer synergised with the perk to begin with. PWYF was and still is, a niche perk that requires set-up and planning to use well. There was 0 reason to nerf it so killer powers that couldn't injure now use stacks.
The list of killers that use up stacks with their power include Clown, Doctor, Plague (both vomit types), Deathslinger, Blight (simply rushing uses stacks), and now Twins. Would you honestly call the nerf to them justified?
0 -
Deathslinger, Plague, Blight & Twins should lose stacks for using their powers IMO.
doctor & clown make no sense though.
1 -
From what I’ve read it would most likely have to do with technical reasons for why killers in general lose stacks while using their powers to ensure there are less exceptions in the code.
1 -
Either they didn't try enough to pass around her or it was a bug/mistake, since the killer's hitbox in the basement stairs where changed a long time ago to not fully block it. This is not a feature.

I know about the basement stairs change, that’s why I had an issue with her being the only killer that could body block the basement. If you think it’s a bug, it’s a bug. But in that case, shadow nerf fixes the bug.

She actually does have collision I was in a group who tested her out after the update and I couldn't walk through her. I tried

If that's true, that sounds more like a bug, in that case please check the bug report section (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs) to see if it has been reported already and upvote it, otherwise open a new report following the guidelines.
