Why do survivors like to throw the game ?

Happens to me every time and I cannot deal with this anymore I still get sandbagged, survivors just hide, 2 gens get done nothing more, survivors scared to go for saves/ leave you there to die, survivors try to go for flashlight saves/pallet saves which they fail horribly, and survivors just give up right when the map starts because theres something they dont like. It seems like every time I solo que survivors expect me to be the leader of the tribe since they cant hold their own. I always have to be the one flashlight saving and carrying these survivors like sheesh my back hurts already.

I only give up as survivor when I'm being tunneled. I see that my efforts are meaningless and I'm not having fun. So I'd rather just die now and move onto a hopefully better match.

There is a big difference though between having people give up and just having randoms that don't know what they're doing. However, I will admit that it's sometimes hard to tell.

    I play to have fun.

Sure I'll do gens and get saves when possible but I play for fun, not to win.

If the fun option involves throwing the game then sorry but you guys are gonna have to catch. Like with your example of a flashlight or pallet save, they're a lot more fun than gens. So even if I ######### it up and we both go down and suddenly the game is over, doesn't matter, I had more fun in that 2 second interaction than I would've done holding M1.

I noticed this happens a lot with new survivors, thats why you can use a handy dandy method known as slugging to lure survivors out of their hiding spots.

If nobody comes for the heal you can step it up and use the Touch of Death strat, you simple pick up the slugged survivor a second before they bleed out and let them wiggle free. They are now instantly dead the next time you down them and the game won't reach hatch opening state. You can draw out the game for as long as they choose to hide and have the upper hand of instant death on one or more.
