The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

i didn't tunnel. you failed to distract.
i'm not the kind of killer that'll just tunnel people out of the game for no reason. i hook a survivor and i leave. hell, i don't even run devour hope, MYC, or whatever else. there's no perk ticking up or rewarding me for doing this, i just think it's fair play.
so when i see nobody else the entire time i'm hunting, and then the hook notification goes off, and i return to the hook and follow the scratch marks and find the exact same guy that just got hooked, what exactly do you think i'm going to do?
do you think i'm just gonna tell myself "oh it's not fair for me to hook him again"? do you think i'm gonna be like "maybe i should instead go and turn over every single stone and pay really close attention to the slightest sound to try to find someone else"? how stupid do you think i am? as a matter of fact, how stupid do you think you are? evidently you think you're very clever - do you think you're smartly evading the killer and protecting yourself? you're not. you're throwing your teammate under the bus because you don't wanna get hit in a video game.
so when, at the end of the game, i've been forced to tunnel each person individually because noone can bear to show their face the whole match, and i have to pre-emptively return to hooks to even dream of finding another target, you pop up in the postgame chat and call me a tunneler or a camper? you tell me that i'm bad at the game?
all i have to say to you is "ok".
you, red rank survivor in a swf with a purple and two green ranks. you who have done nothing to help your teammates, you who scuttled around the map hook farming your friends. you think i'm the one that played badly? you stand atop your mountain of undeserved pips held together by the dried blood of your comrades who you farmed for medals looking down upon me as if where you stand holds any appeal to me? do you think i want to be "good at the game" in the exact same way you are, selfishly throwing people under the bus to serve my own ends and then slipping out of the map-scouted hatch that you've been planning around since Bill 2 died?
here's a secret: where you stand is ugly. it is putrid and it is filthy. your rank is red not because you are a threat, but because it is dipped lavishly in the blood of your friends and allies. you exploited your way to the top just so you could look down on those around you and, worse still, you think your position enviable.
"ok".

I did not distract. You did tunnel.

I didn't read the whole thing but if I tunnel as a killer, that's because you made it viable. If you healed after getting unhooked, then that's on you. If you didn't bring DS, then that's on you. I'm not gonna act like people have DS and in a way give them a 5th perk when I don't have to.

Do not tunnel me again.

[No Lie Detected]
It's amazing how many players will just hang their teammates out to dry and then whine at me for tunneling. I'm a solo player and even I know that if I have 0 hooks and the injured guy has 2 hooks, I need to step up and at least try to get the killer to come at me bro instead (if the killer really wants to tunnel them, not much I can do about it but I can at least try to get the killer to come at me instead).
As a killer, if all I have is one target to take, I'm going to take it. Sorry guy who was hooked 20 seconds ago but if you're all I can find, you're going back on the hook.

and do what? stare at a wall because i'm not allowed to touch you due to "honour rules" or whatever, but then your team has provided me with no alternative targets?
"ok".

This was intense. I generally agree tbh but will be copy/pasting it for steam comments too

you stand atop your mountain of undeserved pips held together by the dried blood of your comrades who you farmed for medals looking down upon me as if where you stand holds any appeal to me?
this is single handedly the funniest thing I’ve ever seen someone post here lmao. also I agree with your post.

Ignore the endgame chat. Play how you want. Survivors have the means to protect themselves from tunneling. If they don't, hang em up

went a bit mad with the prose tbh but if i'm not gonna treat myself to a little poetic then why would i bother posting at all

Sounds good.
Thank you.

Ultimately any attempt to shame the killer into playing 'clean' for the sake of strangers they are in an oppositional relationship with is an argument that depends on refusing to recognize the feelings and humanity of the killer player by exalting the feelings of the player who got hooked over the feelings of the killer.
If you hook farm, you put two other players in a bad situation: If the killer doesn't tunnel, they probably lose because they are losing a ton of value the hook generates and are getting negative tempo because they wasted time to hook that person and aren't getting an easy chase out of it or them off gens for a reasonable length of time. If they do tunnel, that person they tunnel have a bad time.
It isn't even a 'be mad at the hook farmer' situation. It is a 'Its a team game and its on you to understand how team dynamics work and accept team games naturally involve you not having total control all the time because it is antithetical to the design of a team game for one player to have so much input on the outcome of the game that they can overcome any situation regardless of how bad their team is.' situation.
The person hook farming is just a bad teammate, and you should walk that off after (hopefully) explaining to them why that hurt their teammate. Complaining to the killer that they failed to be cooperative with the unhook is insanity and will never work, your just sabotaging your long term growth as a player to assume that the killer has any obligation to not play as mean as possible against you, especially because the game is tuned assuming they will do just that.

this is such a healthier and more elaborated and less spiteful version of my thread! now i'm glad i posted it, if it prompted you to post this as a reply.
basically, 100% absolutely yes! could not agree more. total knockout, a home run of a post.

Have you actually faced the OP or are you just being strange?
3 -
i was wondering the same LMAO
2 -
Lets keep it as mystery :)

So... you tunneled because you're too lazy to look for a new survivor and BBQ didn't hand you your next chase on a silver platter?
1 -
not to my knowledge lol. i'm pretty sure i haven't, since i did like... 4 killer games today.
perhaps this is just them indicting themself over their own playstyle?

"ok".

It's just a game.

I didn't camp you just failed to unhook lmao seriously sometimes tunneling and camping can have so much pressure on the match.

I also leave after hooking and then will return after a save is made. I ll hit whoever crosses my path first. When I play survivor, I often end up running the wrong way and get flattened again by the returning killer. I accept that I gave him an easy decision to make. Killers can't afford to give out lifelines and feecons
1 -
What are you supposed to do then?
It's the fault of the unhooker to not take the aggro after the unhook.
Time management is very important as killer,so if you have no info on the position of other survivors, you get the unhook notification,go back to it and only see the unhooked survivor then you're pretty much forced to tunnel.

I agree with 99 percent of what you said so eloquently. I CANNOT stand when other players farm for bloodpoints at my expense. The only thing I will ask is if you consistently "just happen" to get the same hooked survivors to rehook in almost every match then you are tunneling and it is your way of winning. I understand the whole leaving yourself in a bad spot but, if you "just happen to be around the hook when someone saves" almost all the time then you are either camping or proxy camping and tunneling. Not wanting to get into the whole camping/tunneling argument btw.

This happened to me today. I was playing as Billy and doing surprisingly well for myself considering I'm not a killer main. By game's end two hooked survivors died (on their first or second hooks, I got a great pressure score), the third survived with a missed attack right at the gate, but the fourth disconnected when I hooked her.
I felt really bad. I've experienced games so frustrating that I wanted to DC. I don't want to cause that kind of frustration for someone else. But if she was paying attention she'd definitely have known that I was chainsawing all the way from one end of the map to the other, back and forth, repeatedly, and catching anyone I caught a glimpse of. She just happened to be spending pretty much all of her time in one relatively safe area near a gen that she just didn't want to let go, and it finally caught up with her.
I think that she must have felt tunneled, but I was downing everybody. She must have felt that, because I kept coming back (which also means that I kept leaving) that I was going for her specifically. I wasn't. In fact I was doing a ritual and was trying to deliberately give everyone the breathing room to escape. But she DC'd, and it honestly bummed me out. At the same time though I couldn't help thinking "well what was I supposed to do, just ignore you the whole match?"

With the new hook counters now I can effectively protect teammates that need a "extra" health state. (Protection Hits)

I guess I just wonder why cloak right next to a hook simply to wait to down someone who tries the save, then move on and do it again? I mean I know it works but doesnt that get old?
0 -
Okay lol, whatever floats your boat but if your doing this all the time and win easy all the time it has got to get old. I just see a lot of Wraiths hook then cloak right next to it downing anyone who tries to save. Just seems lazy to me but hey whatever it takes huh.

Oh your one of those lol okay sorry. No need to write back I got you, your site name says it all.
