Furtive chase

So there is another challenge that requires you to hook the obsession so i pulled out the good old furtive chase nemisis combo to always have a obsession available.

And with that the same question that pops up everytime i play with furtive chase. Would it really be that bad if FC terror radius decrease always applied? instead of only in chase. Especially now that BT doesn't look at terror radiusses anymore

It would make it more interesting for sure.

It's a good idea, so long as the decrease wouldn't stack. It would also be nice if every unhooker became the obsession, not just the person who unhooks the obsession.

They could just make it so it doesn't stack with it. Just like fov perks

I like the idea. Furtive Chase is a very weak perk and its best application is moving the obsession around. Having a smaller TR in a chase only helps if you're T2 Mikey - otherwise, you don't really care what your TR is during a chase, and you want a smaller TR outside of a chase.

Turning Furtive Chase into a better Monitor and Abuse minus the FOV that you have to work to build up sounds fine to me, especially if they don't stack.

Make its main effect work outside of chase and you're looking at a semi-permanent TR reduction of 16m at 4 tokens. Combine that with M&A like Hoodied mentioned and now all killers with Terror radii of 24m or less are stealth killers who retain their original power.

Imagine trying to deal with a Hag, Deathslinger, or even Trickster who suddenly never have a terror radius halfway through the match. Or someone like Bubba, Oni, or Blight who've shaved their own TR's down to 8m. It'd be pretty crazy.

Maybe they could tweak Furtive Chase to simply remain active for 30 seconds after a chase ends? Kind of like an alternate form of Dark Devotion that must be built-up first, but could then be activated with any survivor instead of only the Obsession. It'd be great if it didn't lose tokens when the Obsession died too.

even if it were permanent, I don't really see it being run over anything meta or close to meta.

While I don't think it would be that strong. I think this would be the wrong way to buff this perk.

In theory that sounds fantastic. In practice, they'd probably need to make it so it doesn't stack with M&A. Otherwise Trickster and Deathslinger could be rocking a 0m terror radius. That'd be very nutty.

Yes but only after 4 hooks of a specific survivor. Yes it's strong but with all the work it took you is it really that powerfull?

It's 2 perks to eventually have no terror radius and forces you to play unefficient by having to hook every survivor seperatly instead of getting someone out of the game unless you run a 3th perk slot to switch the obsession some more.

2-3 perk slots that take time to become fully active and don't actually slow down the game untill you start getting the free hits doesn't sound that bad. yes it's strong but you are putting a lot of effort in it to make it strong.

It doesn't seem to be that bad all things considered. It would work great for some killers and for some it would not work as well which is the same for most perks. Honestly I think that the sheer terror of having a Mikey walking around at Tier 3 with basically 0 terror radius quite interesting. It would be a better style than infinite tombstone anyway. Even with that it still takes up 2 perk slots between M&A and Furtive Chase and would only really help killers that mostly get countered by Spine Chill anyway.
