Killers are OP against 4 survivors that aren't grouped.

Okay go ahead, help me with noed o' mighty one.

I said let us know when you ACTUALLY want help. Your tone there indicates you don't. Perhaps Pulsar will help you, but I'm not doing anything for you until you reach back out genuinely asking. Until you are serious, nothing we offer will be accepted. You have to want to learn, and you don't believe we have anything to teach you.
0 -
No worries.
Go ahead and list them, it'll give me a gauge of your skill level and it's nice to hear a fresh perspective
0 -
🤣🤣🤣 Are you joking?
I play solo and barely have a hard time to survive 🤣
I even play from time to time with no mither to make it more of a challenge and still most of the time I don't have a hard time.
And that's as rank 1 against all killers.
So i don't see where this part of crying about is coming from tbh.
Seriously, people need to stop crying about that and look at their own playstyle.
No killer in this game is OP whatsoever.

god gamer over here.

I just listed a couple.... I'm not listing every single one I think is too good.... They're the ones you've probably people complain about before.

Imo the killers arent the issue it's my team. Some reason I get players at rank 1-3 who never seem to do gens, trade hooks or cant do chases at all. Now I never expect survivors to be amazing but youd be surprised how little alot of people actually do in a match or how inexperienced they are. (One example is my team going down super fast in chases, so I expect a really good killer and then end up looping the same killer for far longer, sometimes 5min chases but once again within that long chase hardly any gen progress has been made) now that's not the killer being op that's my team being bad. I personally have yet to meet a killer I felt was op and I couldn't do anything against them. So either you arent as good as you think, the killer is a much higher skill than you or you're looking at the game as a 1v1. None of this is meant to be mean or anything but remember it's a 4v1, killers are meant to be strong (which most actually arent) as long as people are efficient most killers will lose regardless just due to gen speed, especially with gen defense. Remember rank means nothing so you could be versing an actual rank 1 killer with survivors who should be rank 10 skill wise...
3 -
And again, I don't mind.
It'll give me an idea of where you are at skill wise and how best to advise you.
1 -
This could link back to a guys earlier point, survivors need a way to communicate outside of swf, a way for you to tell your team, 'do gens'.
0 -
Well you seem to be relatively new to the game given the lack of devotion.
It's easy to fall in the pit of "x is too strong" espically when you don't realize how little you actually know.
Red ranks are a huge mix because it's the highest tier of ranks and not particularly difficult to reach either. You can be facing players with thousands of hours in the game and if you aren't a similar skill level as then you will get destroyed.
You just need to focus less on how broken you just perceive things to be and focus on times where you could have played a tile better.
I get plently of bad teammates when I solo survivors and sometimes you just can't win with the teammates you get. But it's always important to focus on times you could have done something better even in matches you had no chance of winning.
2 -
if you missed a totem and get one shot by noed, there's no 'outplaying' that.
Also played on console before pc.

I've been hit by many noeds in the past. Sometimes I died because of the NOED and the rest of my team pieces out. Other times I have gotten 4 man escapes against a NOED killer.
Sometimes you will lose games for things beyond your own control. It's best to not focus on that.
NOED isn't op as you can still break the totem after it has activated. And against smart survivors a NOED killer will still struggle to pick up more than 1 down with NOED.
3 -
still unfun unless you get lucky, needs tweaking.
0 -
Well no, comms is the issue swf isn't balanced especially when people can actually loops etc. Knowing where the killer is, which gens are close etc. Is a unfair advantage. If you feel the need to be told to do gens that's the issue, if you arent already doing your objective (your only one) then that's why you arent doing so well. If you arent in a chase be on a gen, use kindred and you'll know if you need to get a save etc. Plus extra benefits. Imo things shouldn't be handed to you, while I have a huge amount of game knowledge I do feel most survivors are way too high in ranks. 4 players like me not on coms is an easy 3man escape without meta perks. I honestly do wish you had a playback mode so you could watch your team and youd be surprised how inefficient and how often they arent doing anything. That's not the killer that's the survivors and we cant balance around that. (Seriously if you wanna get annoyed use bond, empathy, kindred and open handed and just watch how bad your team can be even at red ranks) lol
0 -
But if you could tell them what to do..... and communicate those things a swf can communicate... yeah... idk why you're saying no to my response.
0 -
Nerfing things that are unfun is not a door you want to open.
4 -
Because its imbalanced? I did say that. It wouldn't be fun to easily win every match and it's why I avoid swf especially 4man that all know how to play, it's also not fun for the killer either. And another point is you shouldn't have to micromanage a team for you to have a chance. Survivors who cant do chases and have to be told to do a gen shouldn't win. I'm not trying to be rude but I dont get why bad players should escape or why every game should be unbalanced like swf. Yes there are more chill swf but they will still be doing better because it's a swf, take that away and they would play worse. Game requires both sides, nerfing killers because of bad teammates isn't fair and would kill the game. If killer was so easy more people would be playing it.
0 -
nerfing something that makes the game unfun is a controversial statement?...
0 -
Yes, because I thought we didn't want anymore Survivor nerfs.
2 -
Fun is entirely subjective.
Nerfs are usually targeted towards aspects of gameplay that are either unintended, or that have the potential to be overly oppressive/gamebreaking.
Noed of all perks is none of these things.
2 -
I mean i'd call 'getting a confirmed free kill' oppressive but ok.
0 -
It isn't confirmed.
NOED can just not activate and it can be cleansed.
Nerfing things based on how fun they are to go against will lead to a lot of Survivor nerfs.

I wouldnt put too much energy into this if I were you pulsar. From my perspective it seems this guy simply had one too many insidious camping bubba's coupled with noed and got tilted so he hopped on this forum. He didn't give you any additional perks or things that are "op" in his opinion (even after asking three times from your side, only brushing the topic aside with the explanation, "it has been said here already often enough") because only the things already mentioned made him come here in the first place.
0 -
I know.
It's my job to try and help them though.
1 -
so you want to counter a perk without a perk?
0 -
There's a lot of killer perks, I don't have the time, or care, to list every single one I have an issue with.
I have a problem with a lot of them, even if it's small, like for example, Franklins is annoying, by no means overpowered, i just feel like a slight tweak to make it less annoying would be nice, like the dropped item has an aura if you're within 32 metres or something.
There aren't many that I consider a HUGE issue in terms of perks.
Killers themselves? Bubbas chainsaw is dumb, huntress' hatchets feel like logs half the time, the new asian dude seems OP since his buff, plag is annoying they need to do something about the whole 'don't cleanse' thing etc. etc. i really feel like i don't need to go on. My energy has kind of run out with this thread tbh.
0 -
90% of the time if survivors see noed, they leave, you aren't going to run around trying to find the totem hid in a random spot to save one random dude.
0 -
Funny thing solo is ubearable because SWF exist and devs can't balance this game around solos purely
0 -
allow randoms to communicate
or
alter something within the gameplay depending on how big the swf group is.
0 -
I had quite a large reply ready to submit, until I saw you refer to the trickster as OP . 😂
I think most of the perceptive posters can see your agenda here.
Good luck. I hope you enjoy the game once you have more experience.
2 -
I have yet to be in a trickster game that isn't an easy 4k.
0 -
Then what's the issue?
You either cleanss totems or you don't. I honestly haven't seen NOED in Red Ranks in 4 months.
2 -
Thqt doesn't mean he's OP.
He's actually pretty damn close to the worst Killer.
On an unrelated note, what do you think of Legion?
0 -
Sounds like I need to move to the US, because if I don't go on average 5 games without noed i'm literally stunned.
0 -
The issue is survivors should be doing gens, not running around looking for unlit totems on the CHANCE they're running a certain perk?
0 -
some killers are! alot of the killers are super balanced
1 -
Yes, totems are a second objective. They do give 1K BP, which is a great incentive
0 -
not priority over gens though, if you miss one by endgame, then the killer gets a free down and camp, not fun.
0 -
Never said I was.
All I said is survivor isn't that hard as people say it is.
If you understand the game a bit better then you will most likely change your perspective.
I really suggest you play both sides at red ranks and also watch back games where you think that didn't go well and look why it went the way it did.
Most of the time you go down as survivor, it is because you did a bad read or was to greedy.
Use your recorded gameplay to improve your own gameplay.
Watch how other people play against certain killers and how they run certain tiles.

It isn't free; there is no such thing as a free lunch. The Killer played the entire match one Perk DOWN to gamble on whether the Survivors would not do Bones. People like you make that a good bet. The same Red Rank Killer who put in NOED could have easily put in a Perk that guarantees results every match and also turned it into multiple kills. The main problems you have (among many) is that you have no self awareness, an unwillingness to listen to any of the people trying to help you, and a bad tendency to make excuses. You have put yourself in the willful ignorance cage, and nobody is going to be able to help you because you don't really want to be helped. You clearly enjoy complaining about the game more than playing it.
NOED is probably one of the MOST easily dealt with of the Insta-Down Perks. You know how to stop it. You have an entire match to stop it. You know when it is going to go off. You have lots of tools you can choose to take to make stopping it easier. You know exactly what the Killer is likely to do when it does trigger. You can STILL stop it even after it triggers. Blaming the Killer (or the Perk) for your unwillingness to take steps is all on YOU. You get no sympathy here. Everyone reading your posts is thinking the same things I am; I'm just used to being the bad guy and saying it. Pulsar, a genuine trooper, tried to help you for two hours after I wrote you off and you still blew him off. Stop lying to us, and more importantly stop lying to yourself. Own your problems. Take responsibility for your failures. Until you do, you are done.

Hence why I said second objective.
If you are so concerned about a perk, run Small Game. It's actually pretty good.
1 -
I just want to drop in with a big reminder for everyone to be respectful after quite a few comments had to be deleted from all sides. You can discuss things respectfully without attacking and insulting anyone, thank you.
3 -
Solo queue isn't necessarily weak but it's true what you said the team isn't coordinated, they all tend to run for same hook or they don't run for you at all because they only cares about themselves I belive solo queue isn't team work but each person for themselves... And I don't remember last time solo queue was successful because no matter how good u play u can't pull whole game by yourself than theres bad matchmaking too etc killer has nothing to worry about its 4 solos it's guaranteed 4k for them however in swf they need to play safe and smart
1 -
Even when i solo q i don't usually have a hard time escaping, this is at red ranks. Which region do you play in?
1 -
The game isn't properly optimised that is true, but it's not as bad as you make it sound like it is.
True killers are very strong till you start hitting green ranks at least.
Once you hit green you will notice a slight shift in power and the higher you get the more you will notice that the killers aren't even that strong as you might think now.
Sure there are some people who as killer will steamroll over survivors, whether they are solo or swf.
You don't have to record every single match, I just said to record the matches you think went badly.
And even those you don't have to record all, just a few will do.
You can watch it back and see where you can improve and what things you could have done differently.
That is what I was saying, and it will help.
Another thing I said is you can watch other people's vids to see how they play, how they run certain tiles, how they counter some killers, etc, etc.
Trust me you will notice that you will play much more optimised and survive way longer

I think the more accurate thing would be "Killers are favored against bad Survivors."
2 -
i don't know any red rank survivors personally who likes to play solo. Sure sometimes they have to but most of the time they try to arrange something with other players. Most of them gathered enough dbd players in their friendlist over the years. I don't even think it's about the comm's, but more the reliability, you know how they play and that they're good players.
0 -
☝️Here's a solo red rank survivor.
As you pointed out, I have loads of people in my friends list who I met over the years during dbd, but despite getting invites I always decline them.
Personally i enjoy the game way more as a solo, but always ready to sacrifice myself to get others out.
Always go for chases over gens as that is the only fun thing as playing survivor.
But yeah started solo and continue to play solo.
1 -
The way to fix this is not to nerf killer but to buff solo que.
1 -
Killers don't need nerfs. The devs need to finally close the solo-SWF gap by giving survivors QOL buffs that allow solos as close to the same level of info SWF has without relying on using perks. Which has been the devs preferred way to bandaid fix this issue.
