To Legacy Owners
I'll make this short, do you think Legacy skins should be available to the community? I wanted to make this to see if the legacy owners truly care about their exclusivity or think others should have it too. Also this isn't me asking for it, I want to see if the majority agree with the devs or the devs are just talking for you in that it should always be exclusive.

Not a legacy owner, but I think this should be available to everyone if they do something extraordinary in this game, or have some sort of reasonable grind towards it. Other than paying for skins with our life savings, we have nothing that really shows who is really a dedicated player of the game. Legacy skins are literally the only ones that show that, and no those prestiege skins do not even remotely count.
Prestiging a character (any) to the absolute max level should give you something, not just bloody clothes. This game is incredibly grindy, but we as players and a community are given absolutely nothing to show for it for the thousands of hours some of us put in this game.
You know what? I don't even care if no one is given a legacy skin, how about a brand new exclusive skin or skins (that anyone can grind for at any time)? For example, what if Huntress player gets 100 shots on survivors from 20 meters away she gets something like a soldier's clothing to show off? What if for attaining the adept achievements you get skins on certain killers that show them what they like before the entity took over them? What about a cool survivor skin you get for escaping 5-10 times in a row without playing with any friends and perks (it could look like a blue version of the legacy skin)?
I am just spitballing ideas here, but you get the idea. We need some sort of skin that can be grinded for, can be attained by anyone willing to grind, and looks awesome (please no simple skins like a golden weapon). The only way you can really get skins you want are by paying for them, but that isn't rewarding. Sure, you look dope but anyone can get that if they are willing to just buy it. If there were skins that you COULDN'T buy then it would feel good to wear them. We grind to get perks and items, that is it. We don't get any cool skins or anything other than an empty message saying "achievement unlocked too bad you don't get anything".

Not a legacy owner myself and personally i couldn’t care less. I don’t like their aesthetics and wouldn’t use them ever. (And everytime I get matched with a legacy survivor they play worse than me.. and i don’t consider myself a good player at all)
but I don’t see the point to have something exclusive because some people would have liked to have supported BHVR in the early DbD days but simply couldn’t for various reasons.
so introduce a way to get it that it still feels earned and not like a giveaway.

First of all, it is important to notice that Legacy players had to go through an extremely unfair grind and they deserve praise and respect. However, there are reasons why they should be available for everyone to earn:
-Exclusive cosmetics by themselves are not a good kind of reward. They are very capable of attracting cheaters, which is extremely unhealthy for the game.
-There are countless players out there who would have been able to get Legacy if they were playing during the right time. Not to mention that Console players never got a shot.
-Some people lost their Legacy due to an terrifying glitch which used to happen back a day. A chance to earn them again would help them a lot.
Of course, this is just my opinion and people may disagree with they want to.

Honestly I'm fine with it staying exclusive. It's a shame for those who lost it, but I'm fine with not having it. They earned it, and it would be a nasty gut punch to take that time and effort away from them.

Not a legacy owner, not a fan of exclusive cosmetics in the game. Most aren't even used, they just sit in players inventory and they only make a fuss when others may also get them. There are plenty of players that lost their legacy that can't get them back or console that was never even given the opportunity. Think they should do something like players being able to use devotion levels to unlock legacy items. Players that grinded back in the day should have enough to unlock legacy on their characters again.

So many people have hacked for legacy that I don't even feel special for legitimately earning at anymore. Might as well just give it away.
Maybe make it available to anyone who has earned all base game achievements or trophies.

Yes, it should be given to everyone.
I lost my game progress and devs are not able to give it back. They didn't even restore my account, just gave me 50 mil bloodpoints to spend and that's all.
If devs are not able to give legacies back to owners they should just give it to everyone.
You having rights to use exclusive items until something happens to your account is just Circus.
You messed up big time with legacy skins, guys, accept it.
I want my skins back and i don't care if everyone else gets them too

You dont understand how legacy was earned then. People say this game is grindy now which it is but back then the bloodwebs were so big that prestiging felt like getting a brand new account. The legacy was a reward for people who had prestiged their characters before the bloodweb was changed.

you clearly didn‘t understand what I wrote though…
all i said was that it’s unfair for people that didn’t even have the opportunity to do the same, for whatever reason (not old enough, didn’t have a pc, didn’t know about the game in the first place)
no one was ever forced to prestige by the way and legacy wasn’t a direct reward for prestiging back then. It was a way of BHVR to say thank you for the people that supported them in the beginning and who had gone through the struggle of prestiging. Which I never undermined at all.

You can "earn" the Legacy 2.0 skins (AKA Hallowed Blight skins) already, leave the old legacy ones alone!

legacy should be made viable, and special physical cards or some trophy couldve been the real exclusive items.
You think every person who prestiged before the legacy deadline should have had a trophy delivered to them IRL? That's insane. And what about the exclusivity of those trophies? Should they have hypothetically been made available again in 2017, 2018, 2019 etc because you didn't get them in 2016?
Legacy prestige is a reward for the players who played at the start of this game's life. When there was a huge grind, huge game breaking imbalances and no one knew the longevity of the game. That's why players who prestiged were rewarded 'Legacy' skins. The game was in its infancy.
If the Devs want to release more exclusives, so be it. Could even be a blue variant of legacy. But never the original legacy as it would defeat its entire purpose.

Not a legacy owner, but here's the thing.
I heard a few months ago from someone the idea that each platform, when dbd released on those platforms, should have had their individual version of legacy for the same amount of time that steam had it available to them and let players get their platforms version of legacy at the time of it being available. So you wouldn't have what we know as legacy, but something similar.

Are you sure that suing BHVR would work? The EULA is pretty clear on this matter and legacy is actually something no one actually paid money for.. at least not to BHVR..

I had my chance in 2016 and I missed it, because I was not doing prestige back in time and I'm totally fine to keep Legacy skins only for real legacy grinding players and hackers if bhvr will ban the second group for hacking the game.
