How many RE players do you think will actually join in?
I think some people overestimate how many RE players will actually come over. I think a lot will try it but how long will they stay? Its not like one of those game franchises that hasn't had anything new in a while so do they really feel the need to move away from their real games? With people still replaying Village countless times like myself and Revelations 3 coming out POSSIBLY this year and RE4 Remake, A remake based on one of the greatest games of all time being made is there a reason to move into DBD? I see a bunch of reactions to that one RE showcase and a lot of them didn't know what it was. Did they take the time to look into it? Probably not because they are focused on their big game. That's just what I think though. I could be wrong and hopefully I am.

Honestly I think a lot of RE players already play DBD. I bet some players will come over but not a ton though

I could see the RE chapter pulling in the same numbers that the ST chapter did. So, a LOT would buy it and try it out but, yeah, the real question is how many of those people will actually stay in and it also matters what characters come in because that'll also affect the numbers. I'll be a optimist and say a decent bit will stay but, for some, they'll just play the new RE characters and then leave and have that be that.

At first for a little while maybe but RE is alot different to DBD so if they want only RE, then its gonna ware off fast.

I bet a fair amount will join still. Though I do believe a big part is how much will the other characters and gameplay of DBD appeal to RE fans to keep them playing. Since unlike Silent Hill which hasn't had a game in a while. Resident Evil keeps getting a steady stream to keep their fans busy.

There will be a spike in player count numbers for a few weeks at best, but the main goal for BHVR is the MONEY that will be spent by those fans who will the game and DLC. It's obvious this is just a cash grab for them since they didn't change anything to keep new players:
- we still have a huge grind
- the tutorial is not helpful at all except present the basic mechanics (no tutorial for killer powers, no emphasis on team work)
- no train mode with bots
- too many DLCs for a new player

A lot of course, especially people of Lady D of course. (I think she is too tall for dbd though).

The while thing around her is a joke. Of course people like her but not as much as... Well you can assume the names I'd bring up.

THOSE are your ‚arguments‘ that explain that the devs only want money?
couldn’t you at least be a little bit more original or at least use somewhat reasonable arguments that actually help your case?

I'd prefer to play resident evil games over DBD, I mean look Iv supported this game since the start. But many bugs and issues later with no response I told them to fix the game while swear and look at me now... banned, shows alot if you ask me. Not the sorta company that's understanding. They have a great game but lack the knowledge how to communicate and listen to their fans... plus they might ruin the res chapter and the game isn't new player friendly or just a friendly community

These modern RE games is not close to being as good as RE once was, and they don't get a big fanbase either. If they would get characters from RE 2 for example then that would get people to come here.

Honestly the newer games sell much better than the old ones. Whether the new games are better or not is pretty subjective but it's just true more people play the newer ones than the older ones.
Then you also have to figure out the complicate dress of what is considered new and old (people move re4 between new and old a lot as well as the remakes getting flipped around too)

Maybe quite a few will buy DBD but quit really soon after. On one hand, the skillfloor for Survivor is too high to play it casually and on the other hand the Killer needs a sizeable skill advantage to get hits in a chase. I don´t think many RE gals n guys will put in the work (and laughably huge grind) to become a part of our community :(

Survivor too high? Honestly I think the skill level will be too low and dull to keep people engaged. That's how I've felt at least and I played re for years before this.
Killer iwll be too difficult and frustrating for players honestly

I think we got a decent amount of Silent Hill fans in, RE is a more relevant IP at the moment so I hope we'll get some more.

RE fans are likely already DBD fans as they are generally horror fans.
With the right advertisement we will probably see an influx of new player and old returning players.
I love RE, it was the first of two games I bought with my Playstation back in the day. The other game was FF7.
My biggest hope is that the devs have something game changing in mind for this 5 year anniversary. It's time to break up the race to win and the current Meta.

I think a lot of RE Players will join us, as this is what usually happens when a licensed DLC is released. However, the amount of players that will stay here is a different story...

The better question is how many RE players will actually stay considering how "special" the DBD community is and how little the devs care about fun in this game?
We still have the same core issues. Gen speed as killer, camping/tunneling/slugging as survivor.
I've seen interested people drop the game after a couple weeks for these reasons making DBD a game for a very specific "type" of person, only.
If it wasn't for addictions I think many long term players would have dropped the game ages ago, too.

A lot of players will join, then they'll face the Spirit or get camped by Leatherface and leave. XD

9/10 friends don't enjoy this game for very long.

As a RE player, I got into this game because Leatherface back when he came out. Most probably would play it if Resistance wasn't a thing. It's a troubled game, but it can scratch the RE itch. I personally just need RE4 LEON, with or without his jacket.

But SH fans actually need something to chew on for a bit. RE fans already have that and will continue to have that with their own games.

Same as last time. If you look at the stats on steam this game got around 7000 player bump in the stats for steam when silent hill was released. So I'm going to assume 10000 to 30000 in all the platforms. But mind you, silent hill is more closely related to this game in it's aesthetics. While RE is more of a shooter type of horror game. So maybe this game is not as appealing to RE fans as it was to SH fans. And I assume most will casually play this game, and probably stop playing it after 1 month.

A lot, and then they will leave almost immediately after going against a few black op squads or basement bubba's.
