Killers need to understand that the game is so biased towards killers atm
As someone who plays killer and survivor an equal amount, I can safely say playing killer is so stress free and easy it’s like equivalent to playing cod against toddlers and playing survivor is so damn annoying and ridiculously difficult it’s dumb. Killers are OP atm, this is a fact killer only players need to understand. Whether it’s the perks, the base killer itself or the fact that the killer can hit you when he isn’t even facing you. It’s ridiculous. They need to accept this fact, and stop replying to survivor players bringing up valid points with “get gud” or “nice bait”. (I am a rank 7 survivor and a rank 6 killer btw)

I agree, but people experience the game quite differently. Not every experienced game is the same and even though my killer games may pass by breezily, there's many people who struggle or get seriously unlucky RNG with maps and what players they go against. A thread like this doesn't serve any purpose except to antagonize.

Bait.

New account? Check.
Saying one side is op? Check.

have you tried getting good
being serious, i think KolbyKolbyKolby raises a good point, i personally feel like i get pretty frequently ######### over by map rng and lobbies. i don't feel the game is leaning towards either side atm, i think the big issues are affecting everyone

Solo Survivor is easier

New account by who and what have you done with our tricky boi?

As someone who does not struggle with either side, i can say that survivor is easier if you have a team with the same skill as the killer.
The problem is the matchmaking. Its meaningless as argument if i get 4ks all the time or a killer needs 2 minutes to get me. Both happens bc the other players make mistakes and have less experience.
So i can only say that i think i would lose when i play killer against me as survivor ×4.

Thanks for disclosing your rank on both killer and survivor.
I believe your rank because your analysis seems fairly correct at that elo. Make no mistake, you're not the among the best players in your region and you actually don't have a full understanding of the games current balance.
If you took a dive into a killer match with 4 high rank very good survivors running the best perks. You're going to quickly realise that killer isn't so op afterall. You can ran every tile absolutely perfectly and make every correct macro decision at anytime and still have an overwhelming pressure as they naturally tick down your gens. Most high elo wins as killer are snowballed. If you don't get survivors into a point of no return before half the gens are done. It's highly likely you lose even if you tunnel and camp (all that good stuff).
I understand your suffering because this rank system is no indicative of skill. The best players will stay in rank 1 naturally but there's no differential between excellent players and rank 1. It's a mixed bag. What you're seeing is bad survivors getting stomped and in which is very easy to do so as killer which I'm sure everyone agrees. To summarise in one statement:
Killer is designed to easily beat inexperienced and unskilled survivors.
If you still don't believe me I can list some interactions that the elite survivors do and if you answer honestly I think you'll realise that there is a long way for you yet.

Badham Preschool, The Game, Ormond, Groaning Storehouse, Gas Heaven, Family Residence, Ironworks of Misery, Asylum, Chapel. Are survivor sided maps from the reworks where smart survivors will ruin all but a few killers. So survivors aren't as helpless as you make it out to be.

Honestly killer doesn't become that hard until rank 1 (or red ranks in general) so I see why you're saying this.
You're not exactly correct though

Survivor main here!
Rather than agree or disagree I'd like to point out that a lot of the time people are better at one side of the game. When someone decides that they are a Survivor main or a Killer main, rank up and see progress, it's disheartening to lose a match or to be outplayed. It's easy then to want to blame the game balance, especially if you're on a hot winning streak.
Are there balancing issues that need addressed? Certainly! And there always will be. That is the nature of these kinds of games. And as someone who plays Survivor 95%+ of the time it's easy for me to see things that I think feel unbalanced and would like to see changed. But there are people on both sides. I know you said you play both sides equally, but I'm just pointing out why this community is so passionate in the endless argument of Killer sided vs Survivor sided. It's not something that people will ever agree on.
Personally, I could have every Killer meta perk and I'd still lose most of my matches. I'm just not good at Killer at all. We should all remember and appreciate that both teams take skill to play and applaud each other where it's deserved.

Honestly, I feel like I can safely say the game has never been more balanced. For the past few weeks, I never felt frustrated by any flawed mechanics or that any of my losses were unfair. Sure, there's still a few hitches here and there (Spirit, Keys, etc.) but otherwise things are pretty alright.

That really is the duality of Dbd that comes from not having a real matchmaking system.
So the statement of " I'm red rank and: "
The game is too easy | too hard can both be correct. And that not throwing in meta perks.

well I mean without proper matchmaking you can't accurately gauge what is balanced. In general i think its balanced but you can't be sure as long as rank 2's are going against rank 20's.

Have you considered that you might not be the best survivor player if you find playing survivor difficult.
The main thing difficult about playing survivor is having MM give you decent teammates who don't suicide into killer. When survivors play well, killer is significantly harder and more stressful then playing survivor.

Very true, very true. I only feel like the game is mostly balanced... as balanced as an asymmetrical game can get at least. And yes, matchmaking is another hindrance. If you play at night (at red ranks), for whatever reason, your teammates are all green/yellow ranks but the Killer is always Rank 1. Yet, if you play during the day, the Killer is usually purple/green. So weird.

Not really possible to get good as a survivor. Five years in and you still can't deploy solo into a map and try to learn the loops, or practice throwing hatchets, or what have you. Other games in the genre had this stuff day one.
0 -
You could....play the game in order to get good?
0 -
This is definitely bait.

Between the 20 minute queue times if you're not playing early in the day and how fast a chase can be over if you try to experiment (the only way to get better) that isn't going to happen. Most survivors will never learn how to play on maps like Midwich because they have to play for 100 hours to get a single match there and then it's over as fast as it began.

Sure you can. Create an secondary account log into the game from a different station than you normally play. Create a custom game and join it with your main account which is friends with your secondary account. Memorize and practice the map to your hearts content. Or get one friend to do it with that isn't you.

Or the devs can implement a basic feature that would take an hour at most.
2 -
Oh, cool. How do you make a secondary account on PS4? I have other accounts but I don't know of a way to share the PS+ subscription.

The DBD Discord exists and I'm sure plenty of people here and there would be happy to go into Customs with you and help you practice.

This must be bait. I barely get a single hook and survivors keep getting 4-man escapes against me, and this is supposedly in my favor? I'd hate to see what happens if it's biased to survivors.

Is that Sluzzy?
0 -
Oh yes that´s true but only in case bad killer vs bad survivors (no offense we´ve all been there :) ). If your team is at least decent with ressources and gens only legendary veteran killers will get ez wins (or they play Spirit)
0 -
Yeah no, i can assure you that playing survivor is much, much more easier, to the point that killer needs to sweat to get atleast 2 kills in red rank, dont make me even start on SWF, the game is so survivor sided that its funny how much devs are biased towards them lol
