RE8 is coming to DBD?

I'm actually really excited for the upcoming killer, just finished the game (RE8) for the second time and I have to say this is a dream come true.

IMO, I don't think the sisters would be the best killers for DBD to pick from the RE franchise having old times legends as Tyrant, Nemesis or even the licker or the father from RE7.

Now, to the point: What do you think of RE coming to DBD? Which killer from RE would you prefer to see here (in DBD)?

To be honest, I think the surv is gona be Chris and the Killer one of the sisters. BUT, I'd love to see Leon and Tyrant or Nemesis.

Nemesis is the most obvious choice to pull in long time fans of the franchise, I'd be a little disappointed if it isn't him but as long as they do a good job with their power and appearance I'm sure it will still be a good chapter.

Kinda hoping for Ethan as the survivor, since he did make a decent debut in RE7, and with RE8, well, if you know you know

I'm very excited for RE to come to the fog as it's my favorite horror game franchise.

I'm expecting the killer to be Nemesis or Mr. X, but I really hope it's Jack Baker from RE7. If not him, than I'm hoping for Heisenberg from RE8.

I'd love it too, but I think it can't be Ethan. RE has NEVER given him a face in RE8, and in RE7 it was shown only once, but the RE official site has always shown Ethan with no face.

Maybe they can work around it hopefully, like some kind of shadow or shading on his face and if you finished RE8, you can do something based off of the ending

Capcom said RE8 was already in development while RE7 was still being worked on, back in 2016. So it's quite possible

Eww imagine if Ethan in dbd had no face. Wait dose that mean first person possibilities?

Games also take years to develop. Just because the game wasn't out, doesn't mean that they couldn't have been working on it all this time.

That is technically true but just because they could doesn't mean they would. We don't have any evidence of them doing that so far and I don't think capcom would be willing to share info on re8 with other companies (even with Non disclosure agreements) before re8 released since leaks are far too common nowadays even just within a company

Plus there really isn't much that can be added from 8 so I wouldn't expect anything

    Ethan doesn't have a face

Rose or Mia as survivors would be super disappointing and I doubt capcom or bhvr would pick them

Fish man doesn't work at all

Doll girl doesn't work at all

Lady D is far too big

The daughters have the same power as Spirit or Nurse

Heisenberg is human form is the most likely candidate of anything but that honestly would probably be a European trickster (laughs, shoots projectiles with magnetism, and wields a similar weapon)

Miranda just doesn't work either honestly.

Heisenberg and Miranda have the best chance but even those are unlikely

So in my humble opinion as a big Resident Evil fan, having been around since the old days of the first game back on the PS1 and having it give me nightmares as a kid, there are very few BIG bad monster types you can point to which would be iconic to the series as a whole. I keep seeing the sisters or Lady D from the new game, or Jack Baker from the last one, or the normal Tyrant or Mr. X, Nemesis, and every bow and then William Birkin gets sprinkled in to the conversation. To me it can only be one of two killers from the series, and there's a couple of reasons why I personally think so.

So first off, I don't think it's gonna be any of the newer villains. Lady D, her Daughters, or even the Bakers. First off they're too new, and wouldn't really make sense given that you want someone who embodies the 25 years of Resident Evil as a whole (remember, this is is their 25th anniversary). So while Lady D and her daughters might make for interesting killers because of their power set, and yeah I could see some fun in turning in to a swarm of bugs and teleporting, they're literally too new, and I doubt that BHVR would have gotten behind the scenes access to their models and stories months ago before the release of the game and back when they would've had to have made the deal. Jack Baker, again falls in to the too new category, but also what would his powers be? Punching? He doesn't really have any standout abilities other than regenerating really fast and turning in to a giant mold monster.

So like I said I think logically speaking if you want a killer who would be a great and iconic representation of the 25 years of Resident Evil, it falls on to two names I think. The first being the most obvious choice, Nemesis. Between the Tyrant from RE1 and Mr. X, Nemesis is the better choice. The first off, this monster is INSANELY iconic to the entire franchise. As a kid when I first saw this monster his image immediately stuck with me all these years, and his guttural "STARS..." growl still sticks in my head from the original. He's been seen in the movie, and even had a crossover in to Marvel Vs Capcom. Also as a side note, he was a main feature in a haunted house a few years ago being hosted by Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. So yeah, he's a pretty iconic big bad monster. Lore wise he's also the better Tyrant out of the others. Mr. X and the RE1 Tyrant were just mindless biological weapons with no other thinking capacity than just to kill. Nemesis was designed to be a better and smarter Tyrant, being given some genetically engineered parasite thing that gave him the ability to process information better than the other Tyrant variants. As a result, he is able to learn and wield weapons such as his flamethrower, minigun, and rocket launcher. It was also shown that when hunting down the STARS officers in Raccoon City, when it came to hunting Jill he would at times stand back and study her before going after her again. And for the argument that Nemesis is too reliant on weapons, and that it'd be weird to have a rocket launcher in the game, you forget Nemesis has insane physical strength and doesn't need weapons. When he was dropped in to Raccoon City in the game he actually had no weapons and used his bare hands and tentacles to crush and stab his enemies. Remember, Nemesis has tentacles under his jacket that he can use as a natural weapon (in the original RE3 he stabs Brad Vickers through the mouth using one). Also as every DBD killer has a moniker of some kind, he actually already comes with one, "Pursuer", which is actually pretty fitting.

Now the second choice and I'll admit this one is real out and a wild choice, but it's a name that I never see brought up. Albert Wesker. If Resident Evil as a whole ever needed like a true big boss type who has been there since the beginning, it's literally him. During the events of RE1 he injected himself with a prototype virus which later gave him super human abilities, his own cool looking super speed thing followed by his super strength and regenerative abilities. Hes also been in a ton of other RE games whether as an antagonist we need to fight or just cameoing in the background. Not to mention he too has been in other crossover games like again, Marvel vs Capcom, and also appeared in the movies. Then there's small detail, which could be a key thing to consider. Now I'm not much familiar with the lore of DBD yet, but unlike Nemesis and other tyrants, Wesker is an actual human being meaning that he wasn't created in a test tube or pieced together by different parts, he was a living breathing human with a soul. Which if I understand correctly would mean that the entity could pull him in to it's realm, whereas with Nemesis it would be either extremely difficult or unlikely that the entity could pull anything from that thing as it is literal man made weapon. My only issue with Wesker and why I think he'd be an...odd choice though is that, well he'd be another very human looking character, but also I'm not sure how his playstyle and power set would work in a game like this. His abilities would focus on his super speed and strength I assume, and he does wield a knife as well when he's not Matrix style fighting everyone, so I assume his combat knife would be his weapon, maybe? Again I don't know, but Wesker has just as much credentials riding on him as Nemesis does to be featured as the killer, if not more since it could be argued that he was the overall villain of the entire series having either had a hand or flat out orchestrating most of the events throughout the series as a whole.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the long encyclopedia size wall of text. I've just been thinking very hard on the possibilities of who the killers could be. Who the survivors could be would be I think dependent on the killer. If it's Nemesis then hands down it needs to be Jill as the survivor. If it's Wesker, then Chris is the survivor. Both survivors could have legendary skins to turn them in to other fan favorites just like they did the the Silent Hill characters, so I wouldn't doubt that we'd get a Leon and/or Claire skin too. But umm...yeah, just my thoughts, again sorry for the novel.

All I hope is that there will be a male character. We've got too many female ones already (6 females and 2 males for 2 years) and plus males are not popular at all except Felix, David and maybe Steve.

Also, there should be a map despite they said that no map will outcome till all olds' rework. I think that licensed chapter and especially RE should be an exception coz it would be kinda disappointing if it will not.

And yeah, would be great if it's Dimitrescu, but she's too tall and it's an obvious problem. She can't even pass through the door.

    (SPOILERS FOR RE8)

I think they should keep his face hidden, like keeping his eyes and forehead covered in mold

I am old enough to remember when the original Resident Evil came out on the PS1, so it has a special place in my heart. 4 was also a fantastic edition and I enjoyed 7 too.

Saying all this, I think 2 would be the best game to base a DBD chapter.

Leon & Claire, Mr X and the RCPD Police Station.

And have some legendary skins like Chris, Jill and mutated Tyrants etc.

As much as I love Resident Evil 8, having finished it 3 times, I feel like a chapter based around it would be a terrible way to celebrate 25 years of the franchise. To me it just simply makes more sense to pull stuff from the oldest games, the most iconic stuff. Characters that people will have known and loved for years as opposed to the fresh stuff.

Also, I'm not really sure how any of the characters from Village could make for interesting enough killers in DbD. I only see potential for Heisenberg but even then, would he be enough to pull a massive amount of players in?

I would love to see Nemesis, Jill, Heisenberg, and Ethan. However the last two are too new (and one doesn't even have a face), so they very likely won't be appearing. I think we'll end up seeing something like Chris, Jill, and Nemesis with an RPD map. Maybe Jack Baker would come in as a second Killer if the devs want to go down that route. It'll a mix of various games (Survivors from RE1, map from RE2, and Killers from RE3 and RE7).
