Fewer trolls and spammers, thanks to the mod team (the unsung heroes of the forum), and most people seem more respectful overall (I'm guessing because the trolls are mostly gone). Other than that, not really.
The complaints are always the same (camping, tunneling, looping, stealth, BBQ, NOED, etc.), as are the justifications ("not fun", "toxic", "abusing", etc.). We also get regular "spikes" of these subjects, usually culminating with someone opening a thread noting that the many threads are "obviously" a sign of how whatever it is needs to be changed.
The same fallacious arguments are used, same responses, same conversation loops. My "favorite" is the "slowing down the sacrifice timer when the killer is near would totally work to help prevent camping!". Usually goes like this:
- OP makes the "innovative" suggestion, blissfully unaware of the game's history.
- Someone points out that it was already tried and abused.
- OP (or someone else) asks how it was abused.
- Someone explains how.
- OP (or someone else) starts making up the exact same constraints as everyone before them did (only while the killer isn't chasing anyone, only while another survivor isn't nearby, etc.).
- Someone explains that those constraints wouldn't work and don't address the core reason of why the attempt failed.
- At this point, many OPs will continue to argue that the constraints would totally work. However, all of them eventually drop the discussion with "Well, at least I'm trying to come up with a solution!"
