Blight is dead
It seems 90 degree flicks have gone to the wind with the J flick. GG Blight it was fun while it lasted. Devs please know I genuinely hate you.

so who's gonna tell him?

I like to play a little game with myself whenever I click on a Blight topic. I ask myself "will I see the term J-Flick"?
This is a surprisingly easy game to win.

is dead? most likely you got used to an exploit that wasnt intended providing to blight stupid hits he should have gotten. also he is still super strong without that. wich is more 2 days ago someone uploaded a video showing that is still able to do so, because devs havent fixed anything.
2 -
sure
completely dead
(this is not my twitter account)
9 -
That's due to a Script.
Not a mouse dpi..

its impossible to turn beyond 90 degrees btw

i never knew what a j flick was and this video just confused me more
1 -
so an old-fashioned j-flick was just a 180 or 270 degree turn at the end of blight's lunge
this current ""godflick"" is when blight has had enough and becomes a helicopter

The Beyblede tech, if you will.

the flicks are actually better than ever right now :)
old jflicks were balanced. these new ones, though? lol

Long live Blight

That's not a flick... that's a pirouette. Who gave Blight dance lessons?

uuuuuhhhhhhh Kate did anyone but me.

congrats thats the point of my comment
was the sarcasm not obvious enough considering i literally posted a video of a blight doing a ~540 degree turn

"The Blight is dead"
Meanwhile, The Blight:

Read it again I fixed it

They essentially built the "j-flick" into the base kit of the game instead of getting rid of it.

At the start of Blights Lethal Rush lunge, there was a single uncapped frame which could be exploited to spin Blight around more than 180 degrees.
Essentially, a Blight could be running in one direction, then spin and lunge full speed in the precise opposite direction faster that the human brain can register with no warning whatsoever. This could be used to not only make Blight easier to play, but also to remove his only counterplay by "flicking" around every single loop or wall in the game, essentially turning him into Nurse With Extra Steps.

Not with how that blight in the vid was shown.
He did a full 360 in a rush which is also possible now apparently..
Even im shocked as to how this was found,
https://streamable.com/q6j0d1 is your proof btw,

Did you know you can play killers without exploits?
3 -
I wonder when we'll get an official statement about this
I'm curious to see what Mclean/The other developers think about it

That is what an actual exploit looks like. It's using some sort of external script/macro, and should be removed.
0 -
All the macro does is emulate extremely fast mouse movements so that anyone on PC can do it and not just people with mice that can have 25K+ DPI
0 -
Just read that

...Oh,
0 -
The j-flick before was still an exploit.
This is afaik not an exploit because McLean said that the turn cap was "working as intended" and to "make of that what you will" so it could be intentional game design.
But no shade, it really seems like Blight players are the ones who really don't wanna play the game how it's meant to be played.

J-flick is dead, Z-flick is alive.

Using an external script/macro is completely different from using a DPI that is low enough that some people (like myself) permanently use for everything. This new thing is clearly an exploit, that is taking advantage of the new turn rate cap.

I hate j-flick, but, what, do you want Blights to have to get looped all game instead or get countered with a simple trick?
0 -
I laughed at this. I have no idea why. Is it possible on console as well?
0 -
You can still do 180+ degree flicks.
But, thanks for confirming my theory that this exploit was literally all this killer was known for, I KNEW people would say they'd stop playing the killer if it got fixed. Saw a few of the Twitter warriors say the same thing.

Coming from the person who made the macro almost all the blights in these clips are using. Literally all it does is tell your computer that you are moving the mouse very quickly to the left or the right depending on what key you are pressing. It's nothing that you can't do by setting your DPI to ridiculously high levels, like 25000+

Or, and hear me out, learn the power as intended which still counters most loops if you do it right.

180s are seemingly intended now. Especially when you consider that controller can do them now. So if they are embraced by the devs then flicking would be intended. Although of course, it's entirely possible that Behaviour thought they'd fixed them, realized immediately after the patch that they hadn't, and simply decided to keep things vague. If they explicitly state that 180s still being possible is a mistake, then they come off as being grossly incompetent. After all, the only possible explanation for that would be that they either didn't bother to test the change AT ALL or they only tested it very briefly and then pushed it live. Either way, it makes them look stupid and lazy so they're not going to outright admit that they messed up. They're probably currently trying to decide if they can even remove them. If not, then they'll just embrace them and pretend that was always the plan, lol.

I remember the Oni flick being gutted a week after his release and the Devs were saying the reduced flick was intentional but then they said, with a STRAIGHT FACE, that he could still flick 90 degrees but he obviously couldn't. Then after that they declared it was a bug and it got fixed a month later. That still blows my mind over a year later that they had no idea what they were talking about and we had to call them out on it.

Bro blight aint dead. I played blight without even knowing how to J-flick and can manage to 4k. You just need to stop taking advantage of an exploit.
